Have a great vacation! Some of us would love to see the compasses for this itinerary if it is possible to photo them or scan them when you get back. But, don't let that interfere with your vacation! Enjoy!

Thanks all. Looks like I'm going to confirm 1720. Appreciate all the quick feedback, hope to return the favor some day.

Thank you for the replies. It is $3000 total for all four of us. Can anyone let me know whether the first floor indoor space in 1718 is larger than in 1720? I appreciate the comments about the upstairs indoor space, wondering if same applies to the first floor.

I've been offered an upgrade from an ocean view crown loft to a sky loft on an allure sailing. The price is $3000 (four adults would be upgrading). I've been offered either 1718 or 1720. Would welcome opinions on the value of the upgrade (I know it's subjective, but still), and opinions on the pros and cons of each sky loft. Thank you in advance.

I just cancelled my FNDR on Allure. They are certainly entitled to restrict restaurants, but they should disclose it. If not, it feels like a bait and switch.
-
For FNDR -- were you assigned Giovannis and/ or were you offered a choice to switch? Some reports that Allure will not let you switch FNDR restaurant and only choice is either Giovannis or Samba.

I was looking for a sample as well. If you search, you will find a link to photobucket with one from last year, but not very user friendly in terms of printing. Anybody out there able to provide an easier interface? Thank you!

Thank you for the prompt reply. Two other questions have come to mind, so here goes:
Was Coastal Kitchen open for lunch for embarkation day, and if so what hours and was it more than just buffet service?
How was your check in experience as a suite guest? Any tips you can pass on for expediting the process?
Thank you!

Thanks for your review. I'll take you up on your offer to answer questions:
For the suite lounge: is the cocktail hour adults only, or are well behaved kids welcome during that time (and other times as well)?
For coastal kitchen formal nights, were they strictly observed?
For the tree limin experience in St. Thomas, what was the cost of transportation to and from and did you have to arrange in advance for the return transportation.
Thank you!

Thank you for the prompt replies. I understand the logic, and now the rules, thank you. In hindsight, I should have selected a different "free at sea" benefit.

I've searched but I haven't been able to find an answer to this question on the Boards. I have two balcony rooms for a family of five and have selected the specialty dining plan as one of my "free at sea" options for both rooms. I understand this entitles me to 3 specialty meals for the first 2 guests in each room. This can be considered to be 12 "covers" (2 times 3 for each room). Will NCL allow me to use it this way so I can make reservations for 5 people for 2 specialty restaurants (thereby using 10 covers) and 1 meal for 2 (thereby using 2 covers) for a total of 12 covers. Or are they going to charge me for the "extra" 5th person at the first two meals and not apply the credit of the Specialty dining plan? I know this is a cheapskate question, but I am hoping someone has had experience with this before and knows how to get the full benefit of the SDP I selected. Thank you.

I have heard rumors of a cut-off to the parking garage or open air lot off the main entry to the port that would save considerable time when port is in heavy traffic.
Is this actually exists, could someone be so kind to post explicit directions upon how to get to it, and confirm I won't be driving any one way streets the wrong way! I am fortunate in that I can carry my suitcases from the parking, so would like to avoid as much of the drop-off traffic mess if it is possible to do so.
Thank you in advance.

Thanks for all the replies. First time visitor, looking forward to it!

Do I need to worry that Kennedy Space Center will sell out tickets if I do not purchase them prior to day of arrival in port, or should I be ok in purchasing onsite day of arrival?
Bonus Question: Does anybody know of any discount deals or coupons readily available? It will be 5 adults for a day visit while in port.
-
Thank you both. It looks like I need not worry about getting a cab then when I drop after hours. Thank you again.

Forgive my ignorance. My ship (Anthem of the Seas) is listed as in port at CT1. Is this the same as Terminal B1 listed in the OP's helpful picture, and therefore walkable (1/2 mile or so) to and from Alamo Car Rental? Thanks in advance.
-
Thank you NJ Horseman. Great info as always on this forum!

OP is incredibly helpful! Thank you. One question -- if we are on the breakaway and it is at pier 88, are there separate entrances for parking on top of pier 88 rather than 90? If not, and you enter on pier 90, I don't quite understand what you mean by making a "u-turn" and go down ramp to get to 88 from 90. Are these parking structures connected somehow? Thanks again!

If it matters to you, rooms 6 and 10 (14006 and 14506, 14010, 14510) are basically across from the entry doors to the courtyard. I always take the 8 room which is in between. As pointed out by others 12 is further back and juts out a little.
There is no "awning" on the starboard side of the Jewel, but unless you lean over the railing of your balcony, no one can see you and you can't see anyone. And there is in fact shuffleboard noise on the starboard side. It might prevent you from dozing on your balcony, in which case head into the courtyard and sleep in the 3 oversized daybed/loungers they have in there!
Nothing like the courtyard in commercial cruising.
Allure Coastal Kitchen open embarkation day?
in Royal Caribbean International

Anyone on a more recent sailing of Allure who can report whether Coastal Kitchen was open for lunch on embarkation day? I've seen conflicting reports. Thank you.
