  1. We were altered by our TA that Princess was launching the 3 for free on 9/5 and to review our advance bookings which we did .Contacted her yesterday and changed 2 from S and S to 3 for free.. With price drops, added OBC and free gratuities we have saved in excess of $1100 . It took our TA less than 15 minutes to complete the rebooking.

  2. Late is late there is no such thing as a few minutes late. We always double check the meeting place location and the return time .. Was on a tour which the guide said the bus would not wait for late comers , at the first stop 4 people were late and were left behind. Next stop at return time everyone was back early , lesson learned.

  3. Princess especially if you are doing a land package . From the time you arrive in Alaska until you disembark the ship you are cared for by Princess . My wife left her travel bag in the Princess lodge coffee shop and noticed it when we were heading by train to Denali . The train car attendant called the lodge and it was forwarded to us by the next day. Controlling all parts of their Alaska operations gives Princess a huge advantage in customer service over other cruise lines .

  4. Have cruised both and liked each however definetely do not like Princess Movies Under the Stars. Princess starts playing the concerts, movies ,etc at about 10 Am with an exceedingly loud volume thus no quiet day by the pool. We like the HAL dedicated Showtime Theater showing indoor movies all day or selecting films and watching them in our stateroom. Not that we're dancers but HAL has done away with dancing venues.

  5. Each cruise has a different mix of passengers and my wife was lucky to be on the August Voyage of the Vikings with Barbara as the Bridge Director. Her lessons were excellent with take home handouts and the card room was filled for the afternoon duplicate bridge sessions . In the evening bridge players would meet again to play social bridge. Plenty of bridge players on this cruise .The nicest thing was the more experienced players helping the newer players to learn the game in these evening sessions . Write HAL and let them know your disappointment .

  6. My wife is an avid bridge player. We cruised on the Zuiderdam Voyage of the Vikings this past Fall and the bridge lessons given along with the afternoon duplicate bridge sessions were certainly one of her cruise highlights . I hope that you will contact HAL and ask them to reconsider .
