I ordered a water package on the Bliss. It was waiting in our cabin when we arrived. There were 48 paper bottles plus 4 from NCL. I thought it was a LOT. Then two days later they brought 48 more. We said that must be a mistake we only ordered one package. They insisted this is what we get.
Needless to stay we were very well hydrated on that cruise and donated one carton and some bottles to some people. I personally liked the paper bottle. It kept well chilled (more than the plastic one) in the fridge.
Did it just taste like water or did you find it to taste nasty.

I just got off a ship with the new paper square bottles. The water tastes terrible. Made me gag! It is spring water not purified water like they had before. I love drinking water all day and this water was horrible tasting! I hope they rethink this.
I was about to order the 6 waters, so we would have it for our excursions. Glad I read this . The spring water makes me nervous, especially not knowing where its from. I would expect purified water for sure. So it actually had a nasty taste? That would gag me as well. Bummer!!!

The walk maybe 4mins, maybe less depending on the length of your legs, how fast to walk and how many people you have to dodge.
Snorkel gear is everywhere, locla on the beach and any dive shop will rent. I don't know the going rate but $10 sounds good. :0)
thank you both for your responses!!

Infinity Bay and Banaranma are on West Bay Beach. Infinity is steps from the boat free reef snorkeling and they have a pool. Bananarama has no pool and one would have to walk down to Infinity to acess the reef snorkeling.
How far a walk is it from Bananarama to walk down to infinity for access to reef snorkeling?
Is it easy to find someone renting snorkle equipt and does anyone know the going rate?
thanks

They have 2 options: a day pass for $20 which gives you access to the resort, or $65 which gives you access plus unlimited drinks and buffet lunch. If you go for $20 you can still buy drinks and lunch at the bar. Transportation can be arranged as well and is $20 pp round trip. It was about a 20 minute drive. website: https://www.infinitybay.com/default-en.html If you would like to make a reservation or more info Email reservations@infinitybay.com
Hope this helps. If you have other questions I am happy to try to answer.
What did they charge to rent snorkel gear? Do you feel you also need a guide or its fine to do on your own.

So I was wondering if I will be missing a big part of the experience of the locks by taking a land tour and not coming back thru the locks on my partial transit.
I am really torn between if I'm going that far to experience it I should be on the ship both ways, but the other part says I will be missing out on seeing Panama.

Has anyone taken the tour called "shape of Panama" with NCL line who can give a review.
I was mostly curious if this takes you into the new city and what you do there & time spent, The description mainly talked about the old Panama City. I want to be able to see both.
Time spend just riding in the bus & if you saw a lot on the way. Would appreciate your opinion if you have taken this tour. There was only 3 brief reviews on there site. thanks

We will be sailing on the Pearl 10 day panama canal from Miami. Was curious if anyone has a copy of the daily papers they leave in the room. Thank you.

Looking to book the Pearl for the 11 day panama canal cruise, because we liked the itinerary & price. But I have been reading horrible reviews else where about this ship. That's besides the recent breaking down, and the recent norovirus outbreak. Anyone care to share there experience, good or bad. Hoping to find hear good reviews here before committing to booking. Thank you.

Our paperwork said to bring extension cord with no surge protector for our cpap. On the way to our trip, we stopped at Walmart and bought a 4 ft. cheapest $1.47 regular cord we could find. Worked perfectly.

We docked at 7. Quick & easy to get off, go thru customs, exchange money, walk 3 blocks to meet our tour for 10am. We were there by 8am. Very easy. We sat in the park watching the locals commuting to work, it was very interesting & eye opening. I would get off early and take in the daily life as you wait. Soak up all you can while your there.

I just debarked from the Paradise in Tampa last Thursday. This is just our experience and there are so many variables that could change things for someone else.
We elected to do self-assist debarkation since it was just the hubby and me (no kiddos this trip). We were up on Deck 9 getting coffee when they called for self-assist to start heading down to the lobby to debark. It was 7:34 at this point. We were off of the ship within 17 minutes and waiting for our Lyft driver to pick us up. Our driver got there very quickly and we were on our way to the airport by 8AM. I had already checked us and our bags in for our flights on Delta. We got to the airport and were able to walk right up to the ticket counter to drop off our bags. There was also a very short line at security so we breezed through that. We were sitting at our gate by 8:42AM (our flight was at 11:45).
I found Tampa to be the absolute easiest port for embarkation and disembarkation. Everything went very smoothly and quickly! I have read that there are times of the year when Tampa can easily get fogged in which will result in the ships being held out at sea until the fog lifts. So depending on when you are cruising, that could be a factor.
This was our exact same experience and timing last Thursday. Self disembark, used uber & was at our gate waiting for our 11:50 flight around 8:30

yes you can walk off the boat & walk around Cuba all you want. There are lots of taxies and tours available all over if you decide to grab one once off the ship.
We went back on the ship for Dinner in the evening then walked back off again to walk around, this month

Pull up Google maps to get an overview of the area - Tampa is inland on the bay, to get to St Pete or Clearwater you'll need to take the bridge over toward the gulf coast.
Uber from near TPA to Clearwater will cost about $30+ each way; St. Pete is a bit closer. A rental car might save you some bucks, but Uber will let someone else do the driving and avoid parking issues. Your call.
thank you

St. Pete is fun but can get crowded. Clearwater and South has great beaches. Enjoy 😎
We are staying near the airport. No rental car. What is the best way to get to clearwater & cheapest? Would that be an Uber? Do you know the cost? Or is there a bus or other. I am not familiar with the area or the distance, but thought it would be nice to check out clearwater beach. Thanks

And we will have a $75 Visa fee since we are visiting Cuba - I would assume we could put cruise cash down on our account before sailing to pay for that??
I was also looking to confirm this also. I am assuming we can. Wanting to besure before also purchasing more AARP cards.

Following! I would also love to see these. Thanks
New with NCL, i don't understand dining
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
We were on a cruise once that had anytime, 1st seating and 2nd seating. We signed up for anytime. When we showed up when doors opened by 6, we could not get in, was told reservations are booked up every night til 8:30pm. That is to late for us, so they moved us to 1st seating. So no, anytime dining does not mean that always. I was not happy to just learn people can make reservations on our upcoming cruise, this makes me feel I may have to, so I don't get stuck eating to late. I like when the lines do first come first serve.
