  2. Thanks Catherine, Our flight is DL6086. i found another flight leavening EZE a couple hours later direct to Atlanta. I messaged Delta - still out at sea so could not call. At first I thought he could get it changed. we would not be able to sit close to each other. But then he said I needed to call the travel agency - that would be Celebrity. I could go down to the desk and see if anyone on board could help us but this guy said he would transfer me to ticketing support. i guess I would prefer two connections rather than three. i should have jumped on this as soon as I saw it but celebrity does things differently than other cruise lines - to change a flight you have to call them and they only give you two choices. I am use to Princess where you can go online and change your flights anytime. Sandy
  3. Wow, thanks for the fast reply. I looked up seat layouts on seat guru and only found them with 3 seats for the airbus A320. - like you said - no different from economy. That did not make me happy. BUT looking at my account with Delta, when I go to seat selection , it shows only 2 seats on each side. i am hoping that is the case. and not three seats. I have leg issues and can not handle the middle seat especially for 5 hours. that is a long flight. And I will be very unhappy to spend half of my business class flight that I paid more for then the 2 week cruise. i guess there is nothing we can do. At least you said they honor Delta’s baggage allowance. oh, what about carry ons will we be able to take a wheeled carry on plus a backpack? thanks again.
  4. We are on a Celebrity cruise and will be flying from Buenos Aires to Lima on Latam airlines. We booked through Delta airlines and they partner with them. We booked Business class test we have premium seats on Latam. I have tried for months to get seat assignments but no luck. There are several single seats that look opened but says they can not be assigned. So, number one, I hope we have seats. Then my second question is about our luggage. They say only one bag. We get two free bags with Delta and they can be 70 pounds each. Does Latam honor Delta’s rules or will we have to pay for extra bags, And then it sounds like the have carry on restrictions. We each have a carry on plus backpack. Will we be allowed to take both on board?? Also, will we have to pick up our bags and go through customs or will our bags go straight through. We are on the ship now so I am unable to call Delta. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much
  5. I am having the same issues with my husbands. Sent new pictures two weeks ago. Ages ago, I needed to resend two items. I heard back the next day it was approved. We leave tomorrow. We don’t need the visas but since I paid, I want them!

  7. Before purchasing passes, check to see what their restrictions are. Many only allow you to enter three hours prior to your flight.

  9. Yes, I have been keeping up to date on the cruiselines that are offering help. We are on Celebrity - our first cruise with them. One of the members of our group, contacted them but they offered no help.
  10. I am a little worried about our applications. So many say they had a response within a couple days saying they needed to resend something back. Sent them in a week ago. Still says submission success. How long were others at the submission success state?
  11. WOW, First thing this morning I pulled up the email asking if I was still interested in the upgrades and a different screen came up. One category at a time. I put in the amounts for each one and everything went smoothly. No idea why it was different but I am all set. Thanks to everyone that helped. I really appreciate all the time you all spent trying to help me. It paid off! still no OBC is coming up but forget that. I need to start figuring out my packing. thanks again. I wish all of you a great New Year
  12. Wish I could. The payment page does not come up. It is the next page after I select my bid using that slide but the box with continue to payment method will not respond.

  14. None of my bids come up on that page saying pending.
  15. I never received an email confirming my bids. As I said I was ready to add my payment type but stopped before I did that. The first email about bidding was to say I was eligible. The second one came two days later asking if I was still interested in bidding. The page that keeps coming up is the page with all the cabin categories with that slide for the bid amount. It showed the amounts that I had marked. I could not move the slide. Down at the bottom right is a block that says continue but mine was not highlighted so I could not click on it. I have tried to start over from that first email.. putting in my last name and booking number.but my original bid page always comes up/ micruiser2002, that page never appeared. I really appreciate all the help!!!
  16. yes I cleared the history several times. My cabin is fine but just is so frustrating. May be my last cruise with them
  17. I have tried that. Nothing about OBC’s. I have tried on phone app, tablet and laptop🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
  18. I saw that I can modify my bid up to 2 days prior. But no luck. That slide indicator will not move at all. Nothing indicated that it is pending. That is why I can’t figure out why the original bids keep popping up. Thanks
  19. I have been using that all week. I put in our booking number and last name. It looks like it is going to do something but goes right back to the page I have to put my name and booking number. So frustrating. i don’t believe it is in pending yet. The next step before I stopped was to add my payment and as I said, I wanted to wait and research the cabins. thanks for trying to help
  20. Last week I received an invitation to bid on an upgrade. I put my bids in and then decided I should research each of the cabins. Two days later, I received another email asking if I still wanted to bid. I pulled it up and my bids were still listed. The more I thought about it, there was one that I wanted to delete. Could not figure out how to do it so I did the “back” key. The page came up but I was not able to change anything. I clicked on forward (or whatever it is called). And was back at my bids. Figured I had to go ahead with it BUT the block at the bottom right where it has continue was not highlighted and thus I could not click on it. I searched and search and finally called Celebrity. she said the move up department does not have a phone but I could email them. She gave me the email and I tried five days ago. Nothing. It is the same email that I received notifications from. So I even tried to reply to those emails the same afternoon.. Nothing! Is there a way to resubmit my bids? I went back to the original email and clicked on “bid”. But my bids were always there. No way I could change any of them. I am a long time Princess cruiser and am so use to their website. I really don’t care for Celebrity’s. Like having to call to make a flight change- - love doing it myself with Princess. Also, I still can not find how much OBC I have. any ideas how I can still bid - I am a month out. Thanks you so much.
  21. Merg1125, I have been thinking of getting new hard sided ones. Since you were a luggage store manager, can you recommend a good medium priced brand to purchase? We also use zip ties. And I always carry duct tape on each trip. I have used it several times on our luggage for the return trip - not purchasing replacement luggage in some foreign country.
  22. Geezercouple, Totally agree. I also worry about stuff falling out if a piece is really damaged - like the picture. That kind of is one of the reasons I thought about the cover. I pack everything in cubes. I do put our contact information paper inside the netted section. Would I be overthinking it to put one in each of my cubes? Still remember in Barbados when a young lady’s bag was opened by the custom’s guy. Everything fell out on the floor. Some embarrassing items. What a mess! After our bags were left on the tarmac for 45 minutes in a terrible rainstorm and everything was wet inside, I decided to put everything inside a large garbage bag. Did that twice but it was a pain. Guess it is time I start buying lotto tickets so I can charter my own plane.
  23. Flyer Talker, our hard sided bags were some of the first ones that came out. If I were to purchase again, I would do some research. i would be making the covers - not plastic. I have some heavy fabric with some stretch. The damaged bag (not real cheap ones) has several places where the fabric has been scraped away, and both upper sides have the seam and cording ripped open along with each upper corner dented in. And one side of the side handle ripped off. I know we don’t need matching bags but i usually buy two or three bags at a time and get matching ones. I get new ones every three years or so. i would like them to last one last trip and will get some new for our March trip.
