I believe they are free in the higher level suites
Yes, the mini bar and two 1-liter bottles of booze are included with RS and above.

Looking for answer to original questions . . . why can independent excursions occur in Cozumel but only Celebrity excursions in Costa Maya?
You'll probably need to direct your question to the nation of Mexico or the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. I don't think anyone here has the answer.
Regardless, it is what it is.

The wine list can and likely will change, especially in the present situation and especially with the more premium ones.

With the recent sales, we have some absurd amounts of OBC for some upcoming sailings. I plan on drawing some of that in the casino. I know that they give you promotional chips in that situation and that they cannot be cashed out. Cool. However, can you turn them back in for OBC in the (ha ha) event I don't go through what I've drawn?
We're just curious about how to handle these windfalls.
Cheers!

We also were on board Summit, and with only 450 passengers. They had all the art set up, but I don't know if the auctions actually occurred. We've rarely been interested in the auctions.

Thank you for the report. We had a similar experience on board Summit recently. With only 450 passengers on board, shows and other spots were even more sparsely filled, but everything was excellent.

Agent told me to always call and not use the form if you’re before final payment date.
I completely agree. I called up about a sailing next year and got tremendous savings instantly applied.
I also asked about OBC for a couple of sailings that are after final payment, and they submitted the forms for us while I was on the phone. For both of those, we were given a figure of what the expected credit would be, and that was nice to have. Even if there was no guarantee that was going to be the actual figure, I like the idea of a Celebrity rep calculating and submitting everything. I had a lot more confidence than if I had done it, and the results were very good.
Yes, the hold time is a problem, but it sure can be worth one's while to endure it.

There was plenty of room to spread out on the bus we had in Curacao. However, the ship was only at 25%, and it wasn't a beach excursion. The room could just as easily have been from reduced sales as from reduced capacity.
You'll also notice that there's little in the way of social distancing onboard (although, with reduced capacities, folks are spreading out a bit on their own.
The good news is that, with the vaccination and testing requirements, the social distancing is not as critical as it was.

As stated, butlers aren't required to do it, but many are willing to do it. That said, it's typically quicker and easier to pick up a couple glasses of wine on the way to your room when you go to get ready (although we all know how nice it is to have it brought). Of course, if you might get to have it waiting on you.

I completely agree. Use Uber or Lyft. It's too easy, and you don't have to worry about meeting Celebrity's schedule. Everything is very close to the airport.

This. On most cruises, once check-in opens up, the 3:00pm is a place holder time which shows as the only time for everyone. Keep checking everyday as the earlier times will eventually be added.
I just wanted to reiterate this.
Keep checking.

They dd not know this about excursions, that's a big help. Thank you!
Heck, yes. If there's anything that involves a line, ask the butler or concierge about it.

The best generic advice I can give is to just let the crew pamper your parents and to let them know not to be shy about asking for something. We've only had one experience, but the crew were excellent and never ran out of suggestions even after we ran out of ideas.
Just have fun!

I'll be on both about 5 weeks apart. It'll be interesting to see the differences.

You might want to call up the retreat lounge and ask about just upgrading directly. If there's availability, chances are the price will be similar to our even less than the move-up bid. If you upgrade directly, you get all the perks and points, and you even get to choose your room (if there's more than one).

The NY/KC strip is from a certain part of the top sirloin. Other parts may not be exactly the same and have the same marbling, but they can be quite good.
If it's good, it's good. I wouldn't get too worked up.
-
I haven't seen anything about that. You may need to call to confirm that.
IMHO, I don't know why you would lose it, but I assume nothing these days.

If my Move Up bid is accepted do I understand correctly that I will only receive Captain's Club points equivalent to what would be earned on my originally booked stateroom category?
Yes.
As for drinks and internet, it looks like those also are RS amenities. You probably could call the retreat line and confirm that with a Retreat Concierge.

I booked excursions about 2 weeks ago for our Oct 1st cruise. Then Celebrity offered 20% off excursions. I tried to cancel online, like I have in the past. I dont know why, but Celebrity app made me call a 1-800 number to cancel. Then rebooked online. I hope this is not the new normal.
I cancelled an excursion online just yesterday. No telling what happened with your situation.

Yes - every time I have ordered Coffee at Al Bacio, I have had to hand it over. In Luminae for dinner if we buy a bottle of wine no card required and just a cc receipt given.
We didn't need to hand it over at al Bacio on the Summit. Just gave our room number.
-
I've done it many times with excursions, spa appointments, dining reservations, etc. If he is that worried, he can have two windows open, one for cancelling and the other with the rebook queued up.

On our recent sailing, we had a reception with the officers in the Retreat Lounge, but I did not hear of any dinner.
-
They stopped punching holes when they stopped using magnetic strip cards.
I hardly needed my card unless I was boarding the ship, getting off the ship, or going to my room. Nearly everything was done by room number.
