Thank you! It does help to hear the multiple steps. I'm confused about customs because we are visiting 6 Greek ports and will have passed customs to get into Greece already. We do go to Turkey one day and I don't think they are full members of the European Union- maybe that's why? Just very confused that we have to do customs to get on the boat in Greece? Anyways, yes, we are going to just try and go early. 🙂

Couldn't get a late check out- tried already! I am thinking we will take our time to leisurely go to the port. It looks like there is seating and we might just have to wait. Sounds like it might be air conditioned? I'm thinking of a taxi due to my Mom. I'd take the metro but I think it drops you a bit far from the port. Thank you all for the info- all much appreciated!

We completed our online checkin and got a later time. I’m stuck because we have to check out of our Airbnb earlier. I don’t want to waste money paying to store our bags and my mom can’t walk a ton anyways, so I can’t really drag her all over town. If we show up at the terminal early, what happens?

Have a quick question about the Jade since we will be on in a few weeks. I'm not sure what time to put in as Check in time? Did you have to wait a long time between checking in and boarding? I don't know if I should just throw my luggage in a locker for a couple hours or get to the pier early and just board. I don't want to spend a lot of time waiting at the pier if they won't let me on for awhile. Thanks in advance! Loved your review!

I worried I only booked for 2 when I needed the reservation for 4. I couldn't remember so I called NCL and was told it showed 4. The app doesn't show it (very annoying!) because it doesn't know the names of all 4 people, but it did show it was correct when I called. Unfortunately, if you want to double check, I think you have to call.

I am also on the Jade this month. During my research I found copies of these dailies from last year that someone helpfully posted. I am sure they will differ slightly and the ports are a bit different from mine, but gives a general idea. 🙂

I got an upgrade last week and I hadn't realized my card needed updating. I updated right after I got the email that said I got the upgrade but they couldn't process my card. I was in a panic, but they re-ran my new card info about 30 minutes after I updated it so I was all set. I did try calling NCL but since it is a third party vendor, they couldn't do anything over the phone. Sounds like you are all set, but just in case someone else has this problem and searches the boards, thought I would chime in because I struggled to find any help online when I was in my panic 😉

Thank you very much for your reply. I did not realize that they sometimes skip the first stop. I do realize it is all a gamble and I'm aware of the 600 person per hour to Fira issue. I actually have done tons of research. One hour in the cable car line won't break me, but over an hour getting off the boat will. Going to have to decide how gutsy I feel as to whether or not I will take the chance! My tour time gives me 2 hours in a perfect situation to make it. We can of course be late to the tour and just message the guide. Will have to weigh my options. Again, I appreciate your information.

I have searched and searched. Just looking for more info. I know, super annoying question but I have limited time choices for a tour. It's either 10 or 2:30 and I'd prefer the 10:00. We arrive at 8 am at end of July. I think there are 3 boats in port, but we are one of the first. Is 2 hours long enough to make a private tour. Does 8am arrival mean 8am drop off for NCL people at the other port? or 8 am at Fira? Many have said 1 hour is enough time to get up the cable car. That seems tight to me. We are not Haven or have any VIP status to get off early. I will be in line for tender tickets at least an hour early. Thoughts? Thanks in advance (and yes, I did multiple searches but most talk about getting back on board, not getting off....)
