  1. We have used Celebrity Air twice before and were very happy with it.  In November, our flight down to FLL was actually changed to an earlier nonstop flight.

Just checked our Feb. flight to FLL and on the planner, it shows that our flight is now scheduled to arrive an hour after the ship is scheduled to depart.

A quick check on the airlines website indicates the flights are still the original ones we booked.

I know its risky flying in the day of departure but we're hoping for the best outcome.

  2. Thank you both (Benny and SNJ) for this fabulous, informative, upbeat, and positive review of the beautiful Apex. The pictures are magazine worthy too!

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I was on the Apex in November and had never seen some the places you photographed so well. It might have been the casino that caused me to miss a few things, especially the shows and music.

Will be on the Edge in a few weeks and I will be sure to enjoy a few more shows, listen to the music in the Martini bar, and just walk around and take in all the beauty that is the Edge class.

We did a 9 day cruise to the Caribbean on Anthem of the Seas from Bayonne, NJ.  In early December.  It was just fine.

Our first Celebrity cruise was in June of 1998 ,to Bermuda on the Horizon out of Philadelphia!  If I remember correctly, they only sailed from here a year or two, and while there was some discussion on dredging the river to allow larger ships, it never happened.

Oh gosh, so sorry, I should have said planning for October 2022!!....not this year....Nothing is going to happen for me this year....Thx

We're booked on the Pride for Oct. of 2022, after the ones for Sept. of 2020 and 2021 were cancelled.

Hopefully  things will be back to normal by then and we can finally go.

    OK drum roll...........................

I am very happy to say that both TeeRick and Mrs. TeeRick have now received dose 1 of the Moderna vaccine.  It was a long time coming but finally accomplished.  I feel a great weight off my shoulders.  In another month (plus 2 weeks)  we will be ready to go!  Where I have no idea but we will be ready!😀

Good for you!  Where and how?

Friends went to the mass site in the Convention Center and said it was very well organized.

Hi, I just wanted to update you on the vaccine distribution in Montgomery County.  I pre-registered my husband on Jan. 13, 2021, and today I got an email offering an appointment for him to get it.  When you open the email, you will be given a token to click on to see the appt. schedule.  I notified the Montco website that he had already gotten the vaccine.

There were a lot of appointments available.

    Good luck.

Even though I am 63, I qualify (for medical reasons) right now.  I go to that PA web site every day as well as my county site, the pharmacy sites, etc.  No appointments available.  I am on a few waiting lists.  Our state is just not doing what it needs to do.  I should at least be able to get an appointment even if months away.

My husband is 69 and has an underlying condition.  I did the same as you, as far as trying to get an appointment for him on the PA site, county site, etc.

But he sees Doctors from 3 different hospital systems, and he has a portal for each system.

I went to each portal and was able to sign him up, and last week the Temple Health System emailed with me a schedule for appointments.  I got the email last Tuesday and made his appt. for two days later.

If any of your doctors belong to a health system like Main Line Health, Grand View,  etc. try it.

I work at Temple and just got my second dose last Thursday.  Injection site was more sore, had a mild case of fatigue, and that was about it.

  8. Not sure if this will help anyone, but here in PA, some counties are preregistering those in groups 1B and 1C.  I signed my 69 year old husband up on Montgomery County's website.   Bucks county is doing it too.

Also, if you're a veteran, you can preregister in some counties.  Did that too for my husband.

They will administer vaccines at Coatesville VA hospital.

If your primary physician is part of a health system, you may be able to schedule an appt. too.

  9. I've been following this, and really appreciate all the awesome advice and information from all the knowledgeable posters.

Just wanted to share how we are vaccinating here at our hospital.

I work for a hospital system in Phila. Pa, and our vaccination system seems to be running pretty smoothly.

Staffing is definitely an issue, but the department I'm in,(HIM - Medical Records) has been asked to sometimes help out with the clerical portion:  making appointments, registering, completing the lot number cards, giving information to register for the online after-vaccine-health-checker, making 2nd dose appointments, and monitoring staff for 15 minutes after receiving the vaccine. Oh, and making sure they get their "I got my COVID-19 vaccine" sticker.

There are also some who for now are choosing not get vaccinated.

Sometimes at the end of the day there are some doses remaining, so other departments are called to see if anyone on their department wants to come get the vaccine.

I received the Moderna vaccine yesterday, and other than arm soreness, I feel fine.

Hopefully we'll be finished giving the first dose soon, and be closer to getting it out to the next tier group.

  10. Hospital worker here.

If anyone is having difficulty with ears being irritated, there are mask protectors that make it more comfortable.

The go around the back of your head or neck and connect to the ear straps. Very easy.

My nephew made them for us on his 3D printer, and they're awesome.

I also received an offer from Blue Chip Club.  We chose the January 24, 2021 Cruise on the Edge and then went into my Celebrity Cruise account and paid the port fees.  I am not crazy about our cabin location though.  Curious if they offer any great deals on perks.  By the time we pay for premium drink package, internet, and gratuities that adds up to the cost of the cruise.  UGH

That's the same cruise we chose!  Our cabin looks pretty good...deck 7 Infinite Veranda.  Curious to see what that's like, if we sail.

  12. Sorry, I'll explain further.

Two days ago I got an email from Blue Chip with an offer of a comped veranda for certain cruises.

I had to select 3 sailings from their list and submit it to them, which I did.

Today, I got the email with documents for one of the three sailings.  It looks just like the booking confirmations I've gotten in the past, however, I've not paid any deposit.

It shows the itinerary and cabin number.

Under booking status, it says "Offer".

A while back ago I had an offer, although different from this one, and by the time I called, there were no comped cabins left, so I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and if this will still be available by the time they open tomorrow, or do I actually have a this cabin booked.

I'll be calling them at 9AM!

And I remember you from the AC Boards way back!  Small world.

  13. I got an offer from Blue Chip today.  Tried calling but they're closed til tomorrow morning.

Does anyone know how long these offers are good for?

The offer gave me a booking number with a cabin number, just not sure about how to confirm this offer.

    Anyone have any advice?

    Thank you,

    Eileen

  14. Well hello neighbor!  We're from Pennsburg/Green lane.

As for the Pride, we're scheduled to sail on the same cruise as you!

This will be our 8th time(if we go), and our second Halloween cruise.  They do so much during this time, both for kids and adults.  There are costume contests, halloween trivia, halloween themed desserts, decorations throughout the ship, and some people really go all out with their costumes!

The staff is the best, and the ship is just the right size for us.  It's an easy 2 and 1/2 hour drive too!

If this gets cancelled, we'll just book for the same time next year, since we are bringing our 3 kids, their spouses, and the 5 grandkids, and they love Halloween!

  15. From where I live, there is no mass hysteria at all!  We went to the grocery store Friday night, then to BJ's (like Costco), and was able to purchase everything we needed.

    Maybe its regional, not sure.

I'm concerned because we are on the Legend in September, leaving from Venice and my husband has pulmonary/cardiac issues, so I do want to know what's going on with the virus.

No hysteria, just a normal concern.

I thought I read that you can order as many appetizers as you wanted in the Steakhouse but only one entree. Is this correct? If so, there is no way I could decide on my own what I would have. What say you...

    A. Bone Marrow and Beef Tartar (I've always wanted to try this but is usually too high end for my wallet).

    B. Risotto (With Crab...just YUMMO)

    C. Baked Onion Soup (My all-time fav!)

Go 3 different nights.  Problem solved!  👌
