  1. i have a question on the eat play etc... I don't mean to hijack your thread.

But, has anyone been able to get the boardwalk package if you were in the Central Park balcony switched on board? I have two cabins booked on the Oasis with a granddaughter in each cabin and the alcohol really doesn't work.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

  2. Thank you for your help. I talked to my husband who is out of town and he does not want boardwalk...he likes the park. Kids are 8 and 13 they won't care. My husband is concerned about the noise. Also the connecting cabins were on deck 14 with obstructions. I did talk to RCL and explained that I had minors and the wine and restaurant for eat drink and play would not work. She said to ask on board and perhaps they can give me the boardwalk package.

I have not read much on the boards about anyone's experience in doing that. I guess time will tell.

  3. I have 2 rooms booked on Oasis of Seas Central Park, connecting cabins for May with grandchildren. I made final payment on one as it was due on Monday, and the second one isn't due until March 7 as I have an old next cruise which changes the final payment date.

Today I noticed the boardwalk balcony will be a price reduction of $73.00 for the one cabin. There is a connecting available for the other one, which is perfect.

    .

?? Since I made payment on the one cabin, can I move from Central Park to the boardwalk without any issues. I know the price will be what I paid in full which is more $$, and that's ok and take advantage of the price reduction on the other.

    Thanks, Cindy

  4. Booked 2 separate cruises at different times that resulted in a b2b.

First B2B ever. Than remembered a previous post on CC that Celebrity sometimes rewards a B2B. Contacted TA and received a fare drop on both cruises.

    Thanks Cruise Critic. Mike:D

Just saw this.... we are doing a b2b thanksgiving and the week before. No discount offered, and I did not know about it. We have stock obc, so I it probably would not be combinabl. I guess we are out of luck this time, but good to know. Thank you for future.

  5. If you had not started this thread, Bob, I never would have known about the great pricing on the Dec. 12 Riviera cruise. I booked it this morning. Because we live in Florida, we didn't have to worry about flights.

Because there are still more than 100 unbooked cabins, this promotion could be around for a while.

    Thanks again. See you onboard.

My husband and I are on the December 12th Riviera cruise, our first Oceania. Looking forward to talking to you about opinions on travel agents at the meet and greet. WE LIVE IN central FL and are very flexible . I booked through Oceania, quite awhile ago. I guess we have been skipped over for deals. We would certainly would love to entertain an offer

especially to stay on for the December 22nd , but our mailbox is empty!

    Cindy

  6. I will post after the 10 day cruise. With that said we had never sailed on a ship as small as Pacific Princess, but we knew the princess product. We are elite on Princess,.

We can hardly wait to try Oceania. We have a 5 day and a 7 day thanksgiving cruise booked on RCL to help pass the time!

  7. My husband and I did the World Cruise 2015 on Pacific Princess.

We love the Itinerary on the 90 Insignia in July 2016. Like you, I was concerned about Oceania. So.... we are test cruising a 10 day on the Riviera in Decembe . Iknow that is not their R ship, but we are familiar with the size etc. . We wanted to see if the Oceania product was a good match for us. As someone so elequently

said it would be hard to do 90 days if it was not a good fit.

Good luck with your decision and perhaps we will meet on the Insignia.

  8. My granddaughter makes purses and stuff with duct tape...who knew. So in taking her duct tape shopping, I discoverd more colors and patterns and even scented tape, a far cry from the grey stuff I knew.

I picked out a pattern I liked and I take a long strip and tape it on the sides of our suitcases for easy identification. So far so good. It stays put and has not fallen off.

  9. I recently called C & A to advise that we would obtain our next level of 210 on our next cruise on the Freedom and wanted to know if they still presented them to us while we were on the cruise. I was told that they do not notify the LA ahead of time and they don't present them to you on the ship. I will have to call after we get back and they will mail one to us. I had to call them for our first one. So I guess you folks that receive them on the ship are lucky.

    Marc

Received Ours for the freedom last week , the enchantment, and the allure all were left in our stateroom. No big presentation.

  10. Hi and many thanks for all your replies. I will head straight for the perfumery onboard to check it out.....sounds very promising re getting a good deal.

    Thanks again, Jen

Check your RCL coupon book for a discount in the perfume store. I don't know if all the books are the same from one level to another, but worth going through it before you make a purchase.

  11. When I booked my Next Cruise onboard the Rhapsody this summer our LA advised us just to put one of our names down and do a $100 deposit.

I put it in my name (my DH and I always travel together) but I thought in case I decided to do a "girls cruise" I would rather have it in my name. Just wanted to let you know you have this option if you would like.

Same situation with me... I usually do a cruise with friend or mom etc. On board the Empress, DH and I sat in front of the Loyalty Ambassador and did the Next Cruise ( I have two) in my name only. The other passenger to be listed when I book. No problem what so ever doing this ($100 deposit).

I booked two Next Cruises in my name only for that same reason. I usually do at least one cruise with my mom or sister. I did this on Labor day cruise, and used my first Next cruise for the Empress in November, adding my husband's name, and paying applicable amounts. No problems.
