  1. We were on the Diamond last August.  In the dining room, they had the full left hand side of the menu with Japanese dishes.  About 8 offerings.  We tried several and really enjoyed them.  The great thing is if you don't like the dish, just ask for something else.

    Enjoy your trip!

  2. Princess will cancel the current ticket and your new fare on the move-over sailing will be protected, meaning that even if the new fare is twice what the old fare was, you will not have to pay the difference. And if it is less, they will refund you the difference. All the terms will be spelled out in the offer, and you can ask for clarification from the Princess agent when you speak to him or her.

And as voljeep implied, if you don't respond right away to the offer it will likely be gone. First come, first served.

    Thanks so much!

  3. I have a question about getting a move over offer. If I have booked EZ Air and paid for the ticket and get a move over offer, does Princess cancel the ticket and issue a credit to be applied on the new move over cruise booking or am I out of pocket for the airfare? Airfare paid is $1000 per person.

    Thanks

  4. Agree HOHO bus is a great way to get a feel for the city. We got on an early bus which was pretty empty.

Made the mistake of getting off at Recoleta Cemetery..great to visit but buses very busy when wanted to get back on. In fact no room on first one, but another followed relatively quickly. Didn't get off again till we had completed the loop !! Then took taxi(quite reasonably priced) back to ship for last night onboard.

Spent a further three days in B.A. when disembarked from Cruise ship. A great place to visit.

There are many warnings of pick pockets and street crime.

Fortunately we didn't encounter any..but as in any large city......be alert !

Does the hop on hop off bus stop at the cruise terminal? If not, how far a walk was it? I understand the area around the cruise terminal is dodgy.

  5. We used David Transfer Taxi ( david.transfertaxi@gmail.com) after reading reviews on trip advisor for all our transportation in Buenos Aires as well as a full day tour on disembarkation day ( our flight was late as well).

    We were very pleased

Thanks for the response. Can you remember how much it cost for the full day tour and transport to the airport? Trying to compare to prices with Princess disembark which are now available.

  6. you might do a search, this topic has been covered a number of times.

We are going to take a bus from HND to YCAT (Yokohama City Airport Terminal) and then a taxi to our hotel which is near the cruise port terminal. You can also take a taxi or the train which again has been covered in other threads along with the cost.

To help you, the following is a video with step by step instructions on how to take the bus to YCAT, it's very easy.

Thanks for the reply and information. I have tried doing a search with the words haneda + yokohama but found nothing.

  7. I just received an email from Princess informing me that we can book the 15 day TA from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale in September for $199.00 for an interior and $398.00 for a balcony. The promo is Sail and Play the promo code is ULC and the campaign code is PE7MD110. First come, first served basis. I went directly to the Princess website and yes it is legit. Also, Princess Air is about $1000.00 less than booking direct! Gonna have to think quickly about this one!

Is it the Sept 22 Caribbean Princess sailing? Not seeing where to put promo or campaign code. How much is the air? We are also from Toronto.

    Thanks for the heads up!

  8. Any further news on the sip and sail promotion? I checked with my travel agent who said Princess won't say when. Someone suggested June 8th. Any more news on this?

    Wanting to book. Thanks

  9. You won't get a hotel within walking distance of White Bay.

There are a few Train Stations on "The City Circle" all within walking distance of hotels. You are better off to find your hotel, then ask what Station to get off at.

Then to get to White Bay, either taxi or the Ferry. The ferry terminal is a shortish walk from Wynyard Station.

One problem is that they are redeveloping Wynyard over the next couple of years I'm not sure what impact that will have on train access but last time I was in there it looked like a war zone.

Thanks so much for the information. I am looking at the Sir Stamford Circular Quay hotel as it is offering a good rate. Is this a good hotel. Trip advisor reviews seem fine. Is there a train stop nearby I can take from the airport.

    Appreciate your help.

  10. We are sailing on the Sea Princess March 24, 2018 out of White Bay Cruise terminal. We are looking for hotel recommendations that are within walking distance of the pier. We were interested in taking the train from the airport to the hotel. Is Wynford station the correct station for this and would it be walking distance to the hotel. It is more important for us to be within walking distance of the train station to the hotel given the long taxi lineups at the airport.

Any advice and recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I believe I made a mistake and its the Wynyard train station in the CBD. We would like to stay in a hotel within walking distance to Circular Quay. Thanks.
