It basically isn’t long or wide enough unless the adult is petite in stature. In our case it wasnt much longer than a pack n play. Of course size will vary with different cabins and class but unless it is designed as a sleep sofa which it won’t be in a 2- person room, it will be small.

The one in our room on Harmony was a full size sofa and more than big enough to sleep on and I did so a few nights.

I agree it will be very tight.

We tried it with a slightly older toddler and ended up turning the sofa round to the wall and making that the bed for toddler. ( This wasn’t Harmony so I don’t know if this is even possible.)

How can an adult sleep on the sofa in a 2 person room?

Why couldn’t an adult sleep on the sofa?

We just did this on Anthem in Feb. Went to Magic Kingdom. Got on one ride, saw one show, walked the whole park and shopped. Ate dinner at Columbia Harbor House.  Had Dole whip from Aloha Isle. Went on Monorail to Contemporary, shopped there, then back to TTC and walked over to Polynesian to look around.

We left PC at 12:45, were at Disney before 2pm. Our return however, was far more eventful as there was an accident on the highway and we sat in traffic for quite some time. We did however, see the SpaceX launch from the bus, driving right past it as it went off. We were the last to return to the ship. Most of the port was shut down, limited staff hurrying us through. By the time we got back to our cabin they were hauling in the gangway and we were shoving off!

Was it worth it? For us, we wanted to see MK for its 50th anniversary, and we have been there many times so the rides are not that important to us. So I can't say it was, but I can't say it wasn't either.

The reason why we did not do Disney Springs was transportation. There is no direct transport from TTC to DS, so you have to go to a resort or park to take a Disney bus to Disney Springs. DH was concerned about travel time, so that also factored into why we chose MK.

It’s a 5 minute walk from TTC to the Poly if you’re looking for a bus to DS.

poocher - do you know if this is the case for Mason Jar brunch? Not buying a package or any other specialty dining, just MJ. If I buy it online, will I be able to reserve the day/time as I'm buying it? We are traveling with friends and want to make sure we have the same reservation time.

You should be able to.  I booked Izumi sushi on our last sailing as a stand alone reservation and was able to choose the day and time when I booked.  I’d say try it.  You’ll know before you make the final purchase if you can choose day/time.

That would be true if I book the UDP. But like I said, I'm not getting the UDP.

It’s true of any dining package.  I made the assumption when you said 2-3 nights that you were looking at either Chops+1 or the 3 night package.  Sorry, my bad. If you are just booking 2-3 totally separate reservations, you should be able to select times immediately.

I too wish the menus were posted in advance. Planning on an 11 night next year and want to book some specialty restaurants - not the UDP just 2-3 nights. From experience, if I wait until the menus are posted the few weeks before - by that time, reservations at dates/times we want will be difficult if the cruise is full. I'd hate to book a specialty on a night when I like the menu selections.

Except for the courtesy first reservation, you have to wait til you board to book the rest anyway when you book any type of dining package.  By then you’ll have the menus.

  7. And I was looking at the Children’s Place site again and I noticed French Terry shorts in the uniform section too.  Not quite as, for lack of a better term, formal as the others but still look to be a reasonable length.  For what it’s worth, I just got my granddaughter’s bike shorts in and they hit about an inch or so above the knee and are in no way form fitting.  They are not like the tight spandex ones you might be thinking of.   I hope this all helps!

  8. Last cruise was hubby & my first as Diamond and we sailed with family that had had an unfortunate flight issue the previous year causing them to miss the cruise.  Brother had been in touch with a rep from Michael Bayley’s office about it.  Well between 3 cabins we had nine bottles of champagne adding to the 6 bottles of wine we carried on.  Daughter took 5 bottles home!

The official duty free limit is 1 liter of alcohol per individual 21 or over... If you are over the limit, and truthful, the officer MAY let you pass with out paying any duty.

    Aloha,

    John

We put our stuff in the bags they took the night before so I don’t know how they knew who it all belonged to.  DD carried the champagne off. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I find this reaction fascinating.  "Only found one night without an acceptable and tasty choice."

And that's ok?  That you are on a cruise, paying for all of the nights of your cruise, and one night the menu had NOTHING you wanted to eat?

Certainly IMO, this should not happen.

Everyone else in my party had great food that night.  I am spice adverse and not a fan of their grilled chicken so, no it was not my night.  I had good appetizers and a good dessert.  They are serving thousands of people.  Don’t think it a surprise that occasionally a passenger doesn’t like any of the offerings.  That’s what WJ is for.  The staff tried very hard and I had no problem.  Certainly didn’t starve.
