  1. WOW Devon!! Your pics are stunning!!

I recently was married on board the carnival Magic August 4th 2013. We were married at the Galveston port before it sailed. I had a friend that had a very nice camera and took great pictures too. I used a wedding app that allows guests to take pictures and upload them throughout the event. Those were awesome shots too. It's called WedPics.

I wanted to say that the best experience was Carnival's Photographer Raquel Bumanglag. She was truly amazing. Our photos were amazing and she was so professional, polite, and extremely talented.

You can check out a few of her photos on YouTube:

I think you can only view on a computer though.

feel free to email me if you would like details, but I had an amazing experience getting married thru Carnival, and recommend to anyone wanting a stress free wedding experience!

  2. Thanks for the feedback! Writing a review takes a TON of work and now I appreciate the ones I have read in the past a lot more. I am still working on the wedding part and have a ton more pictures to post....I've just kind of lost my thunder with the lack of interest in what I've wrote so far :( this board isn't like the others when you post a review and get a ton of questions and encouragement, that's for sure. Just a bummer...but I will get there!

Aww I know it's a lot of work!! I know this board is really slow- I have the same issues! Please don't lose your thunder! If no one else you're helping me. :)

  3. I don't see my old itinerary on the website anymore. I sent the STDs, but I was designing the invitations this month. I will be at the travel agency tomorrow. I like the ship and I don't want to change the date (engagement pics have that date in them).

They better give us some money back or something bc I'm pretty sure that this itinerary shouldn't cost as much as my old one.

You're totally right- those itineraries are cheaper. You poor thing! I hope you still have a wonderful time and I hope they do something great to make it up to you. :)

  4. Ok, fellow Breeze brides, I'm sitting here mad as I wanna be bc of an itinerary change that I only found out about bc I logged into my cruise manager. They changed the ports COMPLETELY. The only thing that remains the same is the departure port. I picked that itinerary on purpose bc it included Jamaica and Grand Turk. Now they want me to go to Grand Cayman and Mexico (Montego Bay, Jamaica instead of Ocho Rios). Travel agent is on vacation until August. Carnival treats me like I have a disease when I call because I have a travel agent. Well, I had these passport invites in mind, but I don't feel comfortable printing anything in stone except "Miami on a boat." ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I'm not feeling tranquil at all today.

OMG girl what the heck!! Do they still offer the itinerary you want? I would be so mad! Have you sent your STD's / Invites yet, or can you change it?

  5. Hello - Thank you for starting this thread; we have been together for 10 years and are platinum cruisers so getting married on a ship was an easy decision for us - I am not a first time bride, in my late 40's so I am struggling a bit on things....

Carnival Breeze is booked January 4, 2014; currently we have 7 cabins booked (including ours) and expect about 3 more. We are getting married on the ship prior to setting sail

We sent out save the dates (boarding pass style). I am struggling with the wedding invitations and how to word the response card. We live in Florida so we expect to have some non sailing guests......any ideas on how to word the response card. I know Carnival requires non-sailing guests to provide additional information (not needed for sailing guests as they will give it at time of booking)

Love all the wonderful ideas here -

I've been researching the response card thing too. I know some people are funny about writing down their DL #, so I may just contact the people that RSVP for the ceremony only and explain the situation.

  6. Thanks. Yeah, we're a little nervous about the non-sailing thing. We live in the area and so far have narrowed our guest list down to about 130. We have about 25 that we know for sure will sail, but that leaves a big gap. I think invites for co-workers and old friends will be going out later.

  7. Hi everyone! We are booking our April 5, 2014 wedding on the Paradise TODAY! :D I'm so excited! Right now were trying to narrow down our guest list because we're afraid we might have more than 50 non- sailing guests. Has anyone else had that problem? We're thinking of sending our STD / invites in "waves". First wave to go out in September to our must have guests, then the second in November after we can evaluate the number of sailing v non-sailing people attending. Anyone have thoughts on this?

There's so much to do and it's all so exciting!

  8. Serene, it's not that serious. This is the second or third time you've gotten on to me for asking. I'd just like to see them, that's all. It's not going to ruin my vacation if things are shifted around. Don't worry. :)

  9. Does anyone have a copy of recent funtimes for the Glory Western itinerary? I have searched high and low for weeks. The copy on JH's blog is from the holidays so I am sure the normal recent ones are different.

    Thanks in advance!!:)

  10. Argh- I keep going back and forth on this place. We are here booked for our upcoming cruise and it is the most expensive excursion were doing (twice as expensive as the all inclusive in Cozumel). I need reassurance that this place is worth it!! It looks so beautiful but man is it pricey!

  11. I have skimmed over this thread and am still a little confused regarding beer. Can you get it by the bottle or only by draft? DH is worried that if it is only draft in a plastic cup, it will get warm very quickly under the hot sun.

The way I understand it, you can get either as long as they're under $10. I drink bud light lime which I know they don't have on draft. :)

  12. Your question basically implied that 15 drinks per day were not enough, so I was just giving you 2 alternatives, that's all. By the way, my answer was related to this thread as well. If you're that concerned about consuming more than 15 drinks, the Oil Cans and the LI Teas are the best bang for your buck within the parameters of the program. If you don't want to cruise on Celebrity, that is your prerogative, many cruisers have blinders on with respect to cruise lines and they're not aware of what other cruise lines offer. You can always go to an all inclusive, where you don't get cut off after 15 drinks.

The second paragraph of my original response to your post gave you the specific answer you were looking for. Enjoy your cruise on the Glory.

Nope. I didn't imply anything, just asked a question. Thank you for your pointers.

And for the record, I recently took a cruise on RCCL, which was all inclusive through a special program. I was asking about carnivals program because its been spotty- one day it's all inclusive, the next there's a limit, one ship you can buy drinks if you want, the other you can't. I'm quite certain I didn't reach 15 drinks in a day on on the all inclusive cruise, but I didn't have to think about it. I'm just looking for clarification on the glory. :)
