:cool: I agree, more crew and especially officers smoking than anyone else. I need my two cigars a day!

:cool: we stay on all the time. if they had 10-12 cruises that never even stopped that would be fine. we have done 9 transatlantics and love all the sea days.

:cool: 38 cruises and we never take ship tours. much cheaper on your own and no getting on and off a bus with 50 others.

:cool: we never board before 3 or 3:30 for a 5 pm sail away. no lines onboard in 5-10 minutes and we don't register in advance. 38 cruises on various lines and it works well on all of them.

:cool: Cigars everywhere on the ship outside so everyone can enjoy! No cutter, just bite the end.

:cool: we are on for 14 days in Oct. and I will defer to idiebabe that all will be well. that has been the case on all my HAL trips including 3 in the past three years.

:cool: every cabin has two stewards. their tips are added onto your shipboard account. we usually give 30-50 dollars extra for 10-14 days. we do 2-5 dollars for room service. we had a corner aft Neptune suite and loved it the balcony had seating for nine !

:cool: when the bad seas come so fast the crew doesn't have time to stack up the deck loungers and the pool is emptying by itself, now those are fun times!

:cool: on in Nov last yr. Tamarind the best, Sel du Mer excellent, Pinnacle a distant 3rd. Canalleto on the K-Dam the best of the fleet!

:cool:36 crusies 11 transatlantic never sick once. todays cruise ships are so stable it is rarely a problem anymore.

:cool: I would only take a cruise from Vancouver. Also would not stay on the waterfront go up on Robson, stop in Yaletown. Lots to do and it is an 9-14 dollar cab ride depending on where you are staying.

:cool: Drank Tito's for quite a while but the martini's don't taste right anymore. Back on Stoli, Ketel, Grey Goose, or Belvedere.

:cool: we usually get 700-1000 euros 200 before we leave and the rest from a local bank. rarely even have a hundred left and we go almost every year so no problem.

I usually take a 10:30 - 11am flt. and have never had a problem.

A 14 day cruise that leaves port and comes back with no stops would be a perfect cruise for us. We have done 11 TA's and love those 10 or so sea days out of 17. Casino Casino Casino !!!

we have done two northbound and two southbound. fog along northern calif 3 of 4. no rough seas on any of them.

:cool: I never have any trouble in checked bags (36 cruises) we bring wine, vodka & vermouth, and brandy plus olives and onions for the martinis!

:cool: what is a two, four, six top? Do you mean two seat, four seat, etc? That term is not used in the west at all.

we leave the cell phones at home. I am on vacation and not available for any reason! ya know, the way it was for the previous 70 years of travel.

I will continue to enjoy my cigars daily on whatever ship I am on!

broke my right hand (I am right handed) two weeks before a ta from rome I 2008. then broke my shoulder just before an 11 day western med in 2013. my DW said I did it to get out of handling the luggage (year right) Both trips were great!
