Will be in Puerto Limon in early December. Does anyone know of any tours that would cover both a rainforest and coffee tour? Since it will be just for myself and possibly my travel companion, private guides wouldn't be an option. Thanks

Hopefully it'll be worth it. A balcony makes the cabin feel more spacious anyway. There's nothing like waking first thing in the morning and going straight out onto the balcony to breathe the sea air without having to get dressed and seek out a spot somewhere else on the ship. Just nip to the buffet and grab a plate of something to bring back and enjoy there, too - just get dressed first for that  LOL
Thanks, forgot to mention that the cabin is an HC (not our request).

Even though you got a balcony the room may be smaller, you went from 167-169 for the inside to 148 sq ft.for the balcony.
Quite a difference. This will be our 1st balcony experience, always get inside cabins to keep the expense down. If finances weren't an issue, would get a balcony.

It's never happened before, I usually have the worst luck. My Question was out of Curiosity. I'm not complaining at all and truly grateful.

Very grateful to have received a free upgrade for my upcoming cruise. The category initially booked was the Fantastica and the upgrade was to a Bella cabin. Had an inside going to balcony. Better cabin with a drop in category (no complaints). My question is, do we lose the Fantastica benefits since we were upgraded to a Bella cabin which is a lower category? I understand that if it was a category upgrade, we would not receive the benefits of the better category.

This will be my 1st time cruising with MSC, wasn't aware of their policy. I may call them again.

Interesting.... I loved the Divina cruise so much that this thread was about that I'm booked to sail again in November. Paid in full. Called MSC yesterday to pre-pay the grats same as before...except this time I was told that since the booking was made with a travel agent I would have to contact them. My previous sailing was booked with a travel agent and MSC had no problem taking my credit card info and letting me pre-pay the grats....
I don't know if MSC has changed the rules....or if the agents I spoke to didn't understand that I was after final payment...not trying to add it to my invoice before final. Of course they had asked for the booking number and I gave it so you'd think they'd see it was past final....but anyway, I'm going to call back today and specifically say its past final.
Helen,
I'm also passed final payment and booked with an agent. Sailing in November as well. I spoke to a rep at MSC about booking an excursion on the phone since the website seems to be down all the time. He informed me that since I booked through an agent, any changes or add ons would have to be done through the travel agent. Assume this would include prepaid gratutuities.

I'm in the US and having the same problem for days. Can't do my Web check in. Very frustrating. Tried different days and times, no difference.

your welcome, hope you enjoy your hotel :)
Thanks. Just hope I feel safe staying there and the area.

Aubrey, thank you. Ended up booking Residence Inn by Marriott Airport

I love the Element by Westin, near Miami Airport - includes an airport shuttle, free breakfast, each room has a kitchenette and the softest beds, and I think each room has a pull out couch too - has a port shuttle too for 7-8.00 pp ( uber/cab ride would be around 30.00 flat rate)
they also have rates that include port transportation for up to 2 people, but I always find it's cheaper to get own transportation.
Aubrey,
Does Element have any shopping/stores within walking distance? Is there anything on the area near by?

Need a hotel for 1 night day after Thanksgiving. Will be flying into Miami airport that day and cruising the next. Looking for hotels that provide airport transportation, cruise port transportation would be helpful. Looking for a safe area and within a mile or so walk to beach unless there is public transport. Don't need anything fancy, just clean and safe. Would like to keep the cost under $200. Thanks!

I am looking at the Divina for January 2017. There are not many cabins left. Many note that they are adjoining cabins ,has anyone had any experience with these types of cabins? Are they noisier? Etc. thank you

Looking to possibly go November, how are you able to tell how many and what types of cabins are left?

In the evenings there was a 70's dance party with the house band 1 night, a Broadway tribute with a few of the cast singers on another night. Second City (comedy) did a late performance 1 night. Got there 20 minutes before show time, jammed packed so didn't stay. Quest (adult partication) show. Bliss had different types of music trivia during the day and learn to dance. The last sea day talks were held in Bliss. All will be listed in the Dallies. The main shows are in the Stardust theatre.

I was on the 7/29 Dawn cruise. They had the white hot party, I belive it was on the 2nd to last night. You will see it listed on the daily program.
-
Charles, thank you much! I ill pass this information in to the roll call. You seem very knowledgeable about Bermuda, have you been to the botanical gardens in Hamilton?
-
would this apply to Dawn as well? I bought a pair of cute dressy shorts, would be nice to wear them for dinner.
-
Nancy. Thank you. I saw this thread as well but the poster mentioned 2014/2015. Our roll call said no but I'm reassured that you saw them in June

How early do you need to be seated for the main shows? Is the MDR open for lunch?
