Last sail in to Venice we had was on the Mariner in DENSE fog.  Captain Felice said later that had he and the pilot known how dense it would be - they would have waited. We could hear children playing football on the quai.  but not see them.  AND this was the "Ash cruise" when the Icelandic volcano erupted and a couple of hundred Regent passengers were taken by Regent to Padova for a week until the airports opened.

For us - no worries.  We rented a Hertz car (pre-booked months before) and drove home in 5 hours.  We were the lucky ones...

GO ARMY - 119 days to go until we board in San Diego!!!  Look forward to seeing you then.

We were on the same cruise.  It was our first with Regent (other than the Paul Gauguin).  Looking forward to seeing you in March!

    Papaflamingo,

I was wondering if I understood correctly.  Regent allows you to take a cruise credit for one of the two flights?

Or were you doing a B2B?

I also consider cabin size to be a significant value when selecting cabins/cruises.

    Thank you.

Regent will let you take a credit for one or both flights.  We have taken their credit for a domestic portion when it made sense, and used their flight internationally.

  3. The starting times will not show up until it is time to book them (in my experience).  Even then, the actual time of your excursion may change once you are on board.  This happens when they add more of a particular excursion.  Your best best is to plan, and then be flexible.

I am real excited about this thread!  There seems to be a large number of CCers who will be contributing.  Looking forward to reading and seeing pics about your flights, land tours, and especially your cruise experiences. Please take great care of our friends John and Karen and, if she starts getting a little cranky, point her to the closest Cosmo. Have a great cruise, all!!!

    Z and TB

Wish you were going Z, but we'll take care of John and Karen.  I'm really excited to see them again......and you know how we love our cosmos!!!

We did our own flights and used AA miles (got lucky).  But we will be flying into Haneda instead of Narita.  Looking forward to a shorter trip to our hotel.
