  1. I've narrowed my cruise vacation this year down to two cruises: The Adventure of the Seas from Cape Liberty on a 7 day cruise to the Bahamas (Canaveral, Nassau, and CocoCay), and the Grandeur of the Seas from Baltimore on a 9 day cruise to Bermuda and the Bahamas (Dockyard, Nassau, and CocoCay).

    The two cruises above are the same week.

    Adventure is definitely better BUT Port Canaveral is useless port, particularly with noon arrival. We would rather go to Bermuda or anyplace else. in addition 9 days vs 7.

  2. Well we made it to Chops to wait our turn to disembark..

    Thank you to everyone who followed all week, it was an enjoyable cruise with thankfully nice weather and calm seas.

    Hope all Cruise Critics have wonderful cruises whenever it is your turn and anyone leaving today on Anthem, know I will be jealous being back to work while you cruise and play ;)

    Seadog67 out for now...

    Hi Seadog, thanks for great report! Glad that you had great day on Coco.

    I have a question regarding tender process: did you have priority boarding since you in suite? Did concierge bring you to tender? Is RCCL has designated beach for suites on Coco beach (like on Labadee)?

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Did you go to CK for embarkation lunch? Could you pls post CK's menu and food pictures?

    Another question: how login for free internet package?

    It will be our first Anthem sailing and we haven't sailed RCCL for 10 years...

    We will sail in almost a month in GS and we will follow your great thread... Thanks!

  5. Love the Summit. Wish I was going to Bermuda. Instead I'm on the shore waving "Bon Voyage"

    Going on Equinox in a couple of weeks so not too sad.

    We just saw Summit's sail-away passing Verrazano bridge.

    She's beautiful!

  6. We used ROME CABS for the trip to Assisi post cruise and I highly recommend them. It is not the most cost efficient way but it is definitely the most convenient and stress free. There were 4 of us so we split the cost which made it easier. We used Rome Limousines to get to the port but I was disappointed in them when we tried to book the trip to Assisi. They changed their prices from the quote (I had last spoke up about the lower quote 2 days earlier and they said it coincidently just changed when I went to book) so I looked elsewhere and was very happy with Rome Cabs.

    Second for RomeCabs we used them many times, we always shared the ride with people from roll call. they are great!

  7. Seeing mixed comments on the boards about what's included and even the Celebrity website is a bit confusing. Both include coffees, Classic includes "premium" while Premium package includes "specialty"....what is the difference?

    Lastly, can these packages also be purchased and perhaps even upgraded onboard similiar to the alcohol packages?

    We took premium NA because of sparkling Perrier, Pellegrino and vitamin water. Also we like Evian more then generic brands

  8. I

    Yes I know the alternative with Celebrity just keeping my money. I guess I am just giving credit where credit is due. Wonder if anyone in Marketing knows anything about IT??

    You need to check what OBC you have: non-returnable OBC-N or OBC-R. If you have OBC-N, you need to spend it on board, if OBC-R, if it's not spend it will go back to your card

  9. What time did you arrive? Is there an optimum time when many have disembarked and the new rush has yet to start?

    We had free parking voucher from TA and attendants told us to park on open parking lot. We parked there and it was perfect. So don't worry if garage is full, open lot is huge.

  10. I am confused with Anthem OTS Junior Suite perks:dinner option and i hope recent cruisers could clarify... If we would sail in JS, are we still eligible for dinner in suite restaurant? Also, are we eligible for priority tender tickets in private island?

    Thanks!

    From RCCL website:

    Suite benefits include

    Specialty Bottled Water

    Upgraded Bathroom Amenities by L'OCCITANE

    Luxury pillowtop mattress

    Suite restaurant-Coastal Kitchen (dinner only)

  11. We are going on a Celebrity Reflection Mediterranean Cruise August 2017 but having a hard time selecting excursions. I would like to go to some beaches but see only one beach excursion and nothing really for Santorini. I heard Santorini has beautiful beaches!

    I feel like everything that is offered is long, drawn out touristy stuff. We don't really want to spend the day driving around and stopping in random places in the city to see the people.

    I want to try the food, the wine, the beaches, beautiful blue water/caves and if there are any archeological/historical sites.

    Any suggestions that aren't a waste of time/money?

    We visited Santorini 2 times. Every time we rented a car (from Tony's car cost appr. 50 euro) and we shared it with another couple. Very easy to navigate (just 1 road) and irt will give you mobility. We went to Perissa and we went to Oia afternoon.

  12. Great question, would also like to know....

    Also, any differences between Luminae and Blu?

    We were in Aqua (Blue) June 2017, and we been told that Blu and Laminae have one kitchen and one chief in charge. Food in Blue was very good.

  13. Thanks!

    I read the site description, but was verifying or trying to verify what exactly that meant. After reading tons of posts, I can't seem to get one answer on exactly what 'specialty' means or if the juices include mocktails (non-frozen) which were my original questions.

    I am not sure about moctails, never order them but you can get any specialty coffee in Al Bacio except the ones with alcohol: cappuccino, frappe, espresso etc. You can get any soda or non premium water in MDR or any bar... We just off Summit and our waiter always puts bottle off water for dinner.

  14. I want to be sure after lots of research that I'm understanding this correctly!! If not, now is the time to know!

    We have booked the non-alcoholic Classic beverage package. Am I to understand the following:

    * Soda

    * Juices

    * Coffees and Teas that dont include alcohol (Does this mean iced coffee or things like frappe? or no?)

    * Mocktails (non-frozen)?

    I've really tried to understand by reading, but the answers become too much for me in some of the posts!! Any and all experiences and help will be so appreciated!!

    Thanks so much!

    Classic NA package includes soda, fresh squeezed juices and bottled juices, premium coffee and teas, and non-premium bottled water.
