  1. Has anyone booked a shore excursion using a GC  that was cancelled?  Port is a tender port? My CVP will take GC as payment now. I want to reserve now, crusie in July. Got last 2 seats.

How long did it take for the credit to appear on the GC?  I have rebooked and had a card refunded within a day, but that was off ship.

If SE is cancelled, Wondering if I can then get it applied to OBC.  We will still have 10 more days until disembarking.

None of the dining rooms had loud music.  Could it have wafted in from the piazza?

I thought about that.  You could hear it right outside the door of the dinning room but not in the Piazza.  It was recorded music of some type.  I inquired about it and a manager told me they turned it down.  But it didn’t seem to get quieter.  It was more like music you would hear at one of the bars or up on the pool deck.

I don’t recall loud music before either.  Thanks.

  3. Ok sailed in B735 on the Enchanted in September and just got off the Royal D726.  So these two cabins are  the same as the ones in your question. Just on opposite sides of the deck.

Baja deck cabins have a decent size balcony, but more interior space.  It is closer to the Suite lounge. (Deck 14)

D726 (opposite of the cabin in your question) has a very large balcony but the interior was a little cramped with too much furniture.  We moved some of the furniture to the bedroom which is also smaller.  Deck 9 is an easy 2 flights down to  deck 7.

I would choose B734 for more in cabin space.   Both cabins are fabulous.

Not to sound rude but does it really matter if the benefit is in your name or hers.  You both can use it.

We are just  off the Royal.  We

have also applied  the credit  to 2 future cruises. My experience is  the credit is in one name  and only  that person can use

Also went  to book an excursion for a July crusie. Even though i have credit left, my better half needed to pay.

This is  good to know as when i move to apply a GC(s) to OBC  may need to split that up.

  5. When we booked a cabana a few years ago, I think the limit was six people.  There was a group who tired to bring more, told no.  Then tried to rotate folks in and out, told no, then left.  Price was $220.00.  It was wonderful.  One piece of advice I can give is head for the front or rear elevators (depending on the location of the Sanctuary) after boarding.  Take those elevators up to the right deck.

If directed to the central elevators go up a floor and over.  I know some folks will book an afternoon on a port day and visit after their trip ashore.

Sorry, but Kaiser paid about $700 for it, too. It's just covered by your insurance. Princess is just charging you the full, uninsured retail price, same as they would for any other drug.

I don’t know if Kaiser has a contract for Paxlovid, but the organization does use it power to negotiate contracts with drug companies.  It’s one of the main reasons behind its success.

Just got off a princess cruise last week.  They offered Paxlovid, but wanted to charge $700 for it. I waited until the next day and got it at Kaiser for $0.   Their covid protocol is great, but it's a ripoff

to charge $700 if you want Paxlovid.

Kaiser will reimburse the charges. Easy to do in the app.  We had several hundred reimbursed from CoVID treatment in London, plus all the CoVID testing.

Then the prices are ridiculous because the cheapest hotel on the Princess website for a room in Rome is listed at $299 which would make it almost $600 for one night. I can get the same room on Expedia for $332 CAD tax in and even save more since I'm a member. The hotel website lists a room at 179 Euros. I'm sure there must be something wrong.

Yes, in our experience that is correct.  Cost is per person.  It usually does include the transfers, so you would need to cost that out.

Land tour companies price their pre and post hotel nights using the same methods.

Civitavecchia is over an hour from Rome.

  9. You need to check the terms and conditions of your credit card insurance and also consult an insurance expert.  Sometimes conditions apply.  For example many do not cover pre existing conditions.  Also for those that do, typically you must buy the policy with a short period of time from your first deposit for the trip.  Usually under 20 days.

Perhaps post on the insurance forum.
