Has anyone booked a shore excursion using a GC that was cancelled? Port is a tender port? My CVP will take GC as payment now. I want to reserve now, crusie in July. Got last 2 seats.
How long did it take for the credit to appear on the GC? I have rebooked and had a card refunded within a day, but that was off ship.
If SE is cancelled, Wondering if I can then get it applied to OBC. We will still have 10 more days until disembarking.

Hi we sailed on the Royal- D726 a few weeks ago. There are desks in both the bedroom and the living area with a US plug. So 2. I couldn’t find any more.
No USB ports that I saw. There is a UK/Ireland plug as well.

None of the dining rooms had loud music. Could it have wafted in from the piazza?
I thought about that. You could hear it right outside the door of the dinning room but not in the Piazza. It was recorded music of some type. I inquired about it and a manager told me they turned it down. But it didn’t seem to get quieter. It was more like music you would hear at one of the bars or up on the pool deck.
I don’t recall loud music before either. Thanks. -
Thanks for the review. Question:
On our recent cruise, loud music was playing in the Concerto dinning room, even at breakfast. I don’t recall that before. Has anyone else noticed that? -
Ok sailed in B735 on the Enchanted in September and just got off the Royal D726. So these two cabins are the same as the ones in your question. Just on opposite sides of the deck.
Baja deck cabins have a decent size balcony, but more interior space. It is closer to the Suite lounge. (Deck 14)
D726 (opposite of the cabin in your question) has a very large balcony but the interior was a little cramped with too much furniture. We moved some of the furniture to the bedroom which is also smaller. Deck 9 is an easy 2 flights down to deck 7.
I would choose B734 for more in cabin space. Both cabins are fabulous.

Not to sound rude but does it really matter if the benefit is in your name or hers. You both can use it.
We are just off the Royal. We
have also applied the credit to 2 future cruises. My experience is the credit is in one name and only that person can use
Also went to book an excursion for a July crusie. Even though i have credit left, my better half needed to pay.
This is good to know as when i move to apply a GC(s) to OBC may need to split that up.

We had issues, so that why I asked the question. Thanks though, that tells me the seats are still in use.

Thanks for the updates. We booked the Jan. 20, 2024, Santiago to Buenos Aires while on board the Royal this week.
Did the DFW to EZE AA flight have any rear facing Biz class seats? We were moved (at the gate) to 2 of those last year. Most annoying.
Thanks for the tour guide recommendation.
Looks like you are enjoying your trip.

When we booked a cabana a few years ago, I think the limit was six people. There was a group who tired to bring more, told no. Then tried to rotate folks in and out, told no, then left. Price was $220.00. It was wonderful. One piece of advice I can give is head for the front or rear elevators (depending on the location of the Sanctuary) after boarding. Take those elevators up to the right deck.
If directed to the central elevators go up a floor and over. I know some folks will book an afternoon on a port day and visit after their trip ashore. -
There is a second lagoon near town in Reykjavik, the Sky Lagoon. We are with Iceland Everywhere with a drop off at the Sky Lagoon at the end.

Sorry, typo we were in B 735.

U bet. Ok, we were in B735 (starboard side, deck 11) on the Enchanted in September. The video looks just like our cabin except the balcony was smaller. When we looked down the balconies we saw were huge.
Like I said we are in D726 on the Royal soon and will report back.
Enjoy

Sorry, but Kaiser paid about $700 for it, too. It's just covered by your insurance. Princess is just charging you the full, uninsured retail price, same as they would for any other drug.
I don’t know if Kaiser has a contract for Paxlovid, but the organization does use it power to negotiate contracts with drug companies. It’s one of the main reasons behind its success.

Just got off a princess cruise last week. They offered Paxlovid, but wanted to charge $700 for it. I waited until the next day and got it at Kaiser for $0. Their covid protocol is great, but it's a ripoff
to charge $700 if you want Paxlovid.
Kaiser will reimburse the charges. Easy to do in the app. We had several hundred reimbursed from CoVID treatment in London, plus all the CoVID testing.

Here is a link to a video for d726 on Sky Princess, sister ship. We are in D726 on the Royal soon. Can answer questions. These cabins are fabulous. E728 looks to be a bit larger from the deck plans.

Then the prices are ridiculous because the cheapest hotel on the Princess website for a room in Rome is listed at $299 which would make it almost $600 for one night. I can get the same room on Expedia for $332 CAD tax in and even save more since I'm a member. The hotel website lists a room at 179 Euros. I'm sure there must be something wrong.
Yes, in our experience that is correct. Cost is per person. It usually does include the transfers, so you would need to cost that out.
Land tour companies price their pre and post hotel nights using the same methods.
Civitavecchia is over an hour from Rome.

You need to check the terms and conditions of your credit card insurance and also consult an insurance expert. Sometimes conditions apply. For example many do not cover pre existing conditions. Also for those that do, typically you must buy the policy with a short period of time from your first deposit for the trip. Usually under 20 days.
Perhaps post on the insurance forum.

Is this an excursion that can only take a certain number of people, such as a helicopter or boat trip?

Welcome to cruise critic. Check here on the roll call for your cruise.

I think we posted about the same time, regardless, can’t be too careful about information like this.
@mattR Good luck. I think Japan may have some arrival requirements as well. There are requirements for US citizens, not sure about Canadians.

Wow...I think you are going to be very disappointed. Without insurance you fall at the mercy of the infamous "penalty window", which, at 3 days prior would be 100%.
I just read the T&C yesterday. Japan is listed as an exception.

I know, right? Final payment is not due until April, either. I have placed a cruise after the final payment due date and that was good for 1 day. So I sent an email.
Booking a shore excursion using OBC before cruise
in Princess Cruises

So, I tired the same thing recently. Each person in the cabin appears to have their own account for OBC. This may happen onboard as well. We cashed out the extra OBC in the casino and/or purchased other things in one name.
