  1. We are embarking this Sunday on the Infinity out of Vancouver. We have no beverage plan and I want to take a 12 pack of cans on board.

Can we still slap a luggage tag on cans of soda and have the porters take it?

If slapping a luggage tag does not work, can we carry it on?

If not either of the above, can we purchase cans at a bar?

According to a thread on RC, you are only allowed to bring cans using carry on. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2672747

  2. @rederob

Over many threads, you continually tell posters they are wrong with what they want to tip. You referred us to a huge thread that really did not address the issue. So, why don't you just come out and give an example of an appropriate tip?

  3. We always use flatrateforhire.com and the rate is $37, less than a metered taxi. The last time we were in Seattle there was a huge taxi line. We called flat rate and they were there in less than 5 minutes. Lots of people were "unhappy" that we just walked out and almost immediately got into our taxi while they are just standing there.

  4. Are they confiscating hamster cages with exercise wheels? I find that three hamsters is enough to power my laptop.

Just declare the hamsters your service animals and you will be fine.

Don't forget to order the little service animal vests for them.:D

  5. Many private tours will meet you when you want and the starting times are not set in stone. Our cruise gets into Havana at 8:30am and leaves 2pm the next day. We are booked with oldcartours.com for 10am on day 1 for a 3 hour tour and 8:30am on day 2 for another3 hour tour. You can set the times on many of the tours available.

  6. It won't hurt much to over budget. If you are there for 2 days, then you can better figure out how much you need for day 2. If only 1 day and you over budget, you can exchange the extra CUC for USD. The exchange fee back is also 3%.

In all of the posts I have been reading in CC and TA, I have never seen a post with the amount of detail you are asking for.

You can post this same question on TA and you might get a better response.

  7. Just FYI, every $100 USD will get you around 90 CUCS. (I know your comment was more about the actual bill amount, not the exchange rate.) We used mostly 50's. They gave us mostly 10's in exchange

    enjoy

Actually, you will get $87 CUC. 3% exchange fee and 10% USD exchange fee.

  8. We are using oldcartours.com which is riding around in an old car and getting out when you want to. Check them out and you will see some itineraries to look at. We are doing the 3 hour Hemingway tour on day 1. On day 2 we are doing the 2 hour Havana tour plus Fusterlandia.

  9. Good to hear!! How about the cabin size? Is an aft balcony cabin the same size as a regular balcony cabin?

I think so, but I only got peek-a-boo views of the other balcony cabins when the steward had a door open. The aft balcony was very large. We had two lounge chairs, two regular chairs, two small tables.
