  1. You have different categories of shorts??
  2. Time was (pre-Covid) when the porter invariably came to your car, and took it away once you had unloaded it.
  3. I really am as blind as a bat, I have never noticed that. I usually just stagger to the nearest pod and a nice man directs me, or, if I’m looking particularly distraught, takes it for me.
  4. And all the suspense as to whether she will actually go under the bridge. 🙂
  5. Boarding time already predetermined. Your only choice is whether to adhere to it. Mind you, I like to check in asap, as it is one fewer thing to do.
  6. No, men may well look better in DJs, but very few of them (or indeed women) look stunning in anything, less so out of everything. Many people, and I include myself, look best behind gauze. 😀 Or on radio.
  7. That’s what I do now. Is there another way?
  8. Yes, the Firth of Forth can be very nasty, also Monte Carlo roundabout midday, because of a wind that comes up, I think.
  9. Sorry, but we are in agreement. As you say, they fly the red ensign when in port, all days of the week, not just Sundays.
  10. How lovely. Remember to cancel the milk. Do you get to keep your cabin?
  11. Cunard ships fly the red ensign on all days, not just Sundays.
  12. And indeed Carnival is quoted on the LSE.
  13. Or too criminal to be allowed to leave the country?
  14. Also, the Librarian needs to be full time (or have assistance) and have a bigger desk. Poor Ashley was completely overwhelmed at times, nearly invisible behind piles of books.
  15. Another thing to do is to order different pillows if you want them, and to check the bed is made up as requested, if you ask for blankets.
  16. They do have a boatload of voracious readers, as is evident if you walk round the outside decks on a warm day. In my experience, more books than Kindles, though the latter increase near the end.
  17. That is excellent to hear - and a tiny bit surprising. 😀
  18. QG, PG, Lido, Pub definitely. Perhaps anytime dining in Brit?
  19. And I always like to watch the rope men cast us off as the voyage really begins.
  20. Just like every other day then? 😀😀
  21. Library, before the books become depleted. Then, after lunch, I like to unpack asap, and have a slow stroll round the ship.
  22. I can imagine the suspense is unbearable, but try and be patient and expect the worst. Remember, embarkation is never the best bit, though the moment you finally step onto the ship is pretty good.
