Thanks - the problem eventually went away without me taking any action. I note from other comments that other people had the same or similar issues today.

It has started working for me again this evening. I will monitor it tonight / tomorrow.

I have been using Cruise Critic regularly without issue in Google Chrome. Today when I get to the Boards home page, the whole screen blinks repeatedly and if I click on anything it does not leave that page. Wondering if anything was done over the weekend that might have caused this?
I did try clearing cache - did not resolve anything.
I had to switch browsers for CC to work.

Was it worth it?
I enjoyed it. You need to like solving puzzles, otherwise it might not be your thing. I did it for free on Anthem and paid on Harmony. I think I would probably not do it a third time.

Our experience has been that every beach has people there ready to provide an umbrella, and hoping for a tip.
Bob, we got off Harmony November 18. At Nellie's, the beach guys were claiming a beach umbrella was $20 (?)
We were not thinking that was official, so declined. The guy found us a spot in the shade anyway and we gave a tip....

Have a great time, h20skibum! We just got off Harmony on the 18th and had a wonderful time, however did not do the slides. Looking forward to your review.

Just sailed on Harmony and had the BOGO for the first two nights. We wanted to dine at 150 Central Park the first night. We went there as soon as we got on board and they gave us a reservation for that evening. They (150 CP) tried to make us a reservation for the second evening at Chops at our request, but they were unable for some reason (normally can), but we simply walked over to Chops and made the reservation for night 2. No problems at all; you may need to be a little flexible on the time.
Enjoy.

Interesting to me as we just completed a Harmony of the Seas cruise and are considering a Horizon cruise for next year.
Thanks.

Hi RMH, no clamshells on Nellie's. A simple umbrella.... as we had walked up to it. Still trying to determine if a "game" by the beach workers or true RC practice. I have my doubts but then I am a cynical New Yorker - New Jerseyan. 😉

OK. We have all beat this to death. And although we always take photo ID, see my earlier post in this same thread. The Compass could be more clear ... based on experience last week on Harmony of the Seas. Sometimes it says take SeaPass and sometimes SeaPass and photo ID and sometimes the paragraph and title in the Compass on this subject are not accurate or do not match.
I do think RC could improve in the written description of this subject in the Compass.
Happy cruising to all.

We were at Labadee a few days ago and arrived at Nellie's beach early afternoon. A beach worker told us "chairs/loungers are free, but umbrellas are $20." I don't recall that from previous visits and we did not do it. Just interested to know if this is official practice?
The guy moved two chairs to a shady spot for us anyway. We were in the shade of a tree and it ended up being a great spot.

Although I do understand photo ID is almost always required (one exception I know of is Labadee), and we are experienced cruisers who know to do this, I do think the literature (Compass) should be consistent. I was just on Harmony 8-day cruise and I notice that for the four port days under Helpful Tips for Today, the first section heading is listed as (in italics):
- St. Thomas ... SeaPass Card and Photo Identification (and it says bring Seapass card in the detail, without mention of photo ID.) Both were needed.
- St. Kitts... SeaPass Card (and it says bring SeaPass card and Photo ID in detail). Both were needed
- Puerto Rico... SeaPass Card (and it says bring SeaPass card and Photo ID in detail). Both were needed.
- Labadee.... SeaPass Card and Photo Identification (and it says bring Seapass card in the detail, without mention of photo ID.) Only SeaPass card was needed.
I think RC could make the heading match the detailed content of the paragraph and ensure both are accurate for the specific port.

Maho would add 5 minutes to the ride from Cinnamon. Maho is the next bay "east" from Cinnamon.
Thank you. Think we will try that or maybe Hawksnest.....

I also have never experienced pagers on RCCL. We do MTD and do not make reservations. Rarely have had a long wait.

That's useful if someone asks a series of questions in separate lines or bullet points and you want to respond to each.
Test.

And yes, every cabin has a safe. Put all valuables in there.
Have a great time!

How long a taxi ride is it to Maho once one gets to St. John? We have already been to Trunk and Cinnamon and would like to try something different. Our cruise is next month (Nov 2018). Thanks.

Never mind on that last comment. I see how to do that as well. Thanks.

Thank you, Globaliser. I think those suggestions will work for me in some cases and I will experiment with them. When I use the blue circle or star to go to the last read item, however, it automatically opens in same tab. Not sure if I can control that.

After I read through an individual topic, I click GO TO TOPIC LISTING. It always returns me to the top of the topic list (and always on page 1 whether I was on page 1 or not). Should it not (or could it not) remember the topic I was reading and place me at that location on the page?

Just general guidance from our perspective unrelated to particular ship. Look for one mid-ship with cabins on decks above and below to avoid noise from some public-space source. (As per the example in Bob's comment.)
Enjoy.
Flight time after disembarkation?
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
We did self-assist disembark earlier this month (Harmony). We did not get on the line as early as we could have, but still had no problem getting off quickly and making our 10:07 AM Fort Lauderdale flight with lots of time to spare.
Not saying conditions are always perfect for this, but we personally have not had trouble with similar flight times in the past.
Enjoy your cruise.
