Hi @lidopuppy🙂
After looking at Fun Times posted by a Cruise Critic member from a recent 4-day Freedom sailing; there are 2 Playlist Productions listed, They are:
1) 80's Pop To The Max
2) The World Works Here
🍹
thank you ObstructedView2. The playlist productions link i have must be outdated. it showed Getaway Island and Rock Revolution as being the Freedom. I haven't heard of The World Works Here. https://www.saintgregtravel.com/playlist-productions/

...and what are the Playlist Productions shows? Thank you.
-
The Freedom has 4 & 5 day itineraries. The shows on the ship are Getaway Island, 80's POP To The Max, 88 KEYS, and Heart & Soul. I assume they only do 3 (maybe only 2) of the 4 shows on that shorter itinerary. For those who have specifically sailed on the 4 DAY, which shows are on that 4 day, and which one was eliminated? We absolutely love many of the Playlist Productions shows. Thank you for your help.

I love all the feedback. Thank you. Perhaps the Pride would be the better option...But I'd love the 80's party the Spirit offers too:-)

Carnival has a cool feature where you can compare up to 3 of their ships. Although the two ships are extremely similar, it looks like Pride offers more activities (cooking demonstrations, martini tasting, and art games were mentioned specifically). But it says Spirit has a beer station and Pride does not (of course that could change in dry dock (not sure what they have planned for her). Spirit also lists karaoke and Pride does not. Spirit does not offer Groove for St Jude (and Pride does), but Pride does not have the 80s deck party (Spirit does).
And if spa services matter to you, Spirit has no medi-spa services, but Pride has no acupuncture.
Personally we have a fondness for Spirit (just great memories of prior cruises). Either way, they are both great and I absolutely love the way Spirit class ships do not feel crowded.
Have a great trip!
thank you for the very comprehensive reply.

Preference? Never been on any Spirit class ship but have always wanted to. Itinerary doesn't matter. We love the shows. Of those that have been on both, just curious which you prefer and why? thank you.

We'll be sailing on the Silhouette this coming week. Does anyone know if the NCAA tournament games will be shown on any of the bar TV's? Thank you.

Thank you for your quick responses. We loved Grease and especially Mama Mia when we saw them on Allure and Harmony several years ago. We were interested in the Adventure of the sea specifically for the transatlantic in October of 2024.

The research I've done has given me conflicting information. Also Typically how long is any given show on a specific ship before they switch? Thank you.

Jewel has two production shows, City of Dreams and Tango Buenos Aires.
Otherwise it’s guest headliners in the theater, movies (there’s a nice little cinema on board) and live music in the Centrum, Schooner Bar and Safari Club.
Not a patch on O, Q or even V class ships - but I guess most people sail on Jewel for her itineraries rather than the entertainment.
thank you gumshoe958 - you're absolutely correct. We absolutely chose this one for the itinerary. We really like the production shows on the larger ships. Regardless, we always have a great time.

Why?? Jewel has an assortment of comedians, jugulars, some RCI singers, and RCI singers and dancers. Plus, love and marriage.
Why?...Really? There is a huge difference between entertainment levels from one ship to the next. I was just asking for feedback specifically on this ship. I know that every ship has (in your words) "an assortment of comedians, jugulars, some RCI singers, and RCI singers and dancers. Plus, love and marriage" as well as variable entertainment that changes weekly. I was just wondering if someone that has recently sailed Jewel may have info/feedback...but no worries. Thanks for your input.

We're looking forward to sailing next month, and love the shows. Does anyone know where I can find out what shows are on which RCCL ships? ...and specifically the Jewel this time? Thank you.

Thank you for that report and photos. Looks great. We will be on Mardi Gras next year. Could you please tell me what the PLAYLIST PRODUCTIONS shows were onboard?
-
For some reason I cant find what I need. This is the latest info I have and it is over 4 years old. https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=3235 Which shows are playing will play a major roll in determining which cruises we take in the next few years. Thank you for your help. America Rocks, 88 Keys, Flick, Epic Rock and so on.

I was just wondering in what way will we be compensated for the lost time? On a normal 7 day cruise, 8 hours isn't too bad...but on a 3 day cruise, when our original time was 10:00 a.m, this is a major delay.. We'll miss pretty much the first full day...

a cruise ship is like a giant sail. wind can push and pull the ship around making it unsafe to navigate the ship. if a heavy gust of wind pushes the ship back to the dock as the ship is sailing away, bad things can happen
Thank you shof515.

We got this advisory from Carnival saying boarding tomorrow will be delayed "due to weather conditions" in Bimini Bahamas...Looking at the current weather in Bimini, that makes no sense to me. No rain, and only 22 mph wind...Why would they spin this as a weather issue as to why the ship hasn't left Bimini and/or will be delayed getting to Port Canaveral?
GUEST ADVISORY
EMBARKATION ADVISORY
CARNIVAL LIBERTY– DECEMBER 2, 2022
December 1, 2022
Dear Carnival Liberty Guest,
Our Fleet Operations Center in Miami has been actively monitoring the weather in the Bimini area. Unfavorable conditions are making it difficult for the ship to safely depart. This could impact the scheduled arrival time into Port Canaveral and your embarkation tomorrow. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide you with timely updates. Please do not proceed to the cruise terminal until you receive our final update.- 1

European cruise on the Legend was just canceled for September. I hope to rebook for summer of 2021.
We were booked on the same cruise...so disappointing. Definitely hope they have a nearly identical itinerary for 2022, as that one was perfect. All I know is eventually we will indeed enjoy cruising once again.

Are paddles available, or should you bring your own?

Are you on the July 7 arrival of the Legend? If so, we are on that ship, too and I am looking at a 10:25 am flight leaving BCN to Newark... seriously considering it. Otherwise, we will end up staying another night in Barcelona, which we don’t really want to do. I keep thinking if we get off the ship and in a car by 7:30 am, we can get to the airport by 8:15 , leaving us 2 hours to get to the gate. If everything goes perfect, it can be done... but I’m not sure if I want the stress.
We are actually on the September 20th arrival into Barcelona. We have decided to stay one night in Barcelona. We haven been there before but our travelling companions have not so we will take the day/night to show them around and fly home Monday morning. The 10:30AM connect would have been a stretch and too stressful to try.

Has anyone used Carnival's Fly to the Fun for an international cruise? If so, how did it compare to booking on your own?

What time does your ship arrives in BCN ?
We were on the Epic, arriving at 5am and if you carried your own luggage off, you could disembark at 5:45am. I'd be in that early group. I'd rather be cooling my heels at the gate than worrying about the cost of a missed flight.
If you look down the page there are 2 similar questions. Perhaps those responses will help you.
It says we arrive at 6am. Not sure if that means we can disembark at 6, or if we get there at 6 and the ship has to "prep" before we can get off. It is the Carnival Legend.

Our cruise ends in Barcelona, and our return flight to MIA is at 10:10 am. Is that enough time or is that unrealistic? That was the latest flight of the day. We've spent several days in BCN before, and love it, but for this trip we cannot afford the time to spend an additional day in Barcelona.
Who has sailed the Carnival Freedom 4 day itinerary?...

Thank you. That's unfortunate. I was hoping Getaway Island was still on this ship. I think that would be a great show based on the description on that website.
