I don’t think you plug a cpap machine into a euro plug without a converter. An adaptor won’t do it.  I could be wrong but I don’t think an cpap will automatically switch currents.  You could use an adaptor with a hair dryer that had 120/240 dual though without a converter.  And of course usb is universal.  Something for the world cruisers to look into.

Respiratory Therapist here-  all you need is an adaptor.  The machine will switch on their own.

Most ships have some small section of cruisers turned in paperbacks. I know I turn in all I bring and read. I agree the selection might be slim so I always bring a overabundance of books. I have a fear of running out of books. I read too, though not necessarily in the library.  I read where I can see the ocean when I can. Or the aft.

Instead of FOMO. Fear of missing out. It’s FOROOB Fear of running out of books!

I must admit, i have it too and brought 7 books with me on my first cruise.  When I switched to Kindle, I had a panic attack at 2am, in the hotel the day of the cruise.  Woke out of a dead sleep thinking I forgot my kindle.  I had to get out of bed, rummage through all of the bags to make sure it was there.  IT WAS!!!!

  3. Thinking of using Royals Disney shuttle to go to Disney Springs during our day in Port Canaveral.  We dock 1-9pm so its not enough time to justify paying for a Disney park entrance, but Disney Springs is a great place as well.

I know the Disney Shuttle drops at the Transportation center, but there are no direct ways to get from there  to Disney Springs.

Any info or hints at the easiest way to just do Disney Springs would be great.

  4. Love my LL bean boat and tote with a zip top. I use them for everything from carry on to beach to everything in between. 4 sizes, I have medium and extra large. They fold flat in the bottom of the suitcase. And they are Made in the USA. Maine specially and I am from Maine so I guess I am a tad bias. [emoji3] and you can have them embroidered! fb1560cc38dc831510c3ed3bcebc0672.jpg

  5. I hope someone from my sailing on Adventure 5/25/18 can answer this for you. We had fog the entire last day and the fog horn was going every 90 seconds from 9 pm until we docked then next morning.

We were deck 10 midship/ aft and could hear it in our room with the balcony door closed.

Worst fog I have ever seen and have no clue how they got us back into NY Harbor safely.

  6. Just ask your cabin steward for an ice bucket, and fresh ice once or twice a day.

Yes, we did that. Worked fine to add water. But I think many folks think they are going to bring a case of soda, throw it in the “fridge” and be good to go. But it never gets cold.

On the other hand, I didn’t have to worry about it freezing my insulin! [emoji39]

  7. Fort Lauderdale currently has more "cruiser friendly" hotels, places that have free shuttles to and from the airport, cheap or free shuttles to the cruiseport. Perhaps Miami will step up now, but I doubt it.

Southwest flies into FLL but not into MIA.

That extra hour to Miami is a killer for some people who would drive to Port Everglades but say they won't drive to Miami.

Wish Jetblue would add Miami as well.

  8. Lots of ships all the way up to Voyager class regularly sail from Miami and have for years. They have terminal G (closest to the city) as their usual terminal. That will likely keep being used even after the new terminal for Symphony is done.

Sailed on Liberty OTS twice - 10/09 and 6/10 out of Miami. So even Freedom class has docked in Miami.

  9. Of all the photos that people have posted since her refurb there never seems many people in Izumi.

It’s a shame, I like sushi and always visit if the ship has an Izumi but I’m not sure about its location on the promenade.

Surely it’s too busy and noisy to have a meal?

    Izumi was always empty.

  10. Just off Adventure of the Seas. We saw 2 dogs onboard

One was a black lab with a service dog vest with Do Not Pet signage leading their blind owner.

Another was a Yorkie with her very own stroller and different outfits for each day including 2 different formal dresses.

I’ll just leave it at that....

  11. Couple of questions that I can't find searching:

    1. Our arrival for June 8th says to come at 10-10:30am, what time would you suggest arriving at Cape Liberty?

    2. Where do drop your luggage off at. I see different numbered areas as you pull up to the terminal, but which one do you

We cruised this past Friday, May 25,on the ship now...

Our arrival time was 10:30-11:00. We arrived at 9:30. We drove to the lane closest to the building. Porters were there to take our luggage. We went to the parking garage, plenty of spaces. Another CC member arrived at 1:00 and the garage was full and they had to park in the open lot. We walked right in, through security and no wait at checkin (Suites, but regular checkin had no wait either). We sat for about 30 minutes and we were boarding (Suites) about 10:20 or so. We were on top deck at 10:20.
