  1. I had an issue paying with gift cards once. Let's say you have $100 and want to pay down your account.

Instead of Pay Balance, put 100 in the Other Amount box. Once you put the gift card it, it should reflect the correct balance.

I was selecting pay balance and putting the gift card amount in but since it was for less than the full amount, it requested a credit card number for the remaining balance. By selecting Other Amount, that took care of the issue for me.

  2. The price is comparable to how much a beer will be at the bars now that they added gratuity to the deliveries. You can take them anywhere on the ship that you want. They do come warm so we bring a collapsible cooler and as our steward to keep it filled with ice. You can also bring the warm one to a bar and exchange it for a cold one.

  3. It is YOUR job to read the fine print, your job to read what you are book, your job to do your research before making the commitment, Devil is in the details dear.

And you didn’t handle the details.

This is your love and learn lesson to do a better job next time or get a travel agent who can. *They are free*

CALM down, this thread is six months old.

  4. Googling, I found an image of a beer menu listing Coors Light as $5.95 for a 16 oz size - I cannot figure out of that is draft or from large can, though.

Self-serve does RedFrog beer mostly, from what I have read, and sometimes has some other "Lite" beer available, for about $4 for a 14 oz pour, IIRC.

If all you drink is the lower cost beer, then Cheers will pay for itself if you drink more than 8 beers, but remember you get cut-off at 15. Note that self-pour is not included in Cheers.

So if the self-pour is not included with Cheers, can you still order a beer through self-pour that you pay for and would not count towards your limit of 15? This might be a good way to get a beer after you reach your limit. I know the ones in the dining room close early but the Red Frog ones should be open later.

  5. No reason to put luggage tags on your carry ons. They will be with you. Room service seems to depend on when you order it. For a continental breakfast, you can put the order out the night before and select a window of time which is pretty accurate. A late night order may take a while longer and I believe now is no longer free. Ordering during the day will be around 30 minutes.

  6. Go to the buffet.

As helpful as ever. Please read what is being asked and provide answers if you can. Pretty sure they did not as for alternate options.

To answer the question, we have been wait listed twice and as the cruise got closer we were put in early dining per our request. As others have said, visit the maître de when you board. The smaller your group, the better odds you have of getting your request.

  7. We have cruised the last 15 years in July and fly in every time. The main impact a hurricane will have on you is if it hits the home port around your embarkment or disembarkment day. This could impact your flight coming in and your ship coming in or leaving the port. They may reroute the cruise if a hurricane is nearby so there might be a different itinerary.

That being said in 15 years we have never missed a flight or cruise do to bad weather. We have been close, but have never been impacted by a hurricane. July is still a little early in the season. Does not mean it cannot happen but it is early.

  8. It seems like they try to fit you with other people similar to yourselves. When we went with our son, we always sat with one or two other couples that had children. The last four cruises have been without him and we have sat with adult couples on all of them.

  9. Odds and payouts are worse on cruise ships, i.e. Black Jack in Vegas pays 3 for 2 where as on the cruise it paid 6 for 5 dollar bet.

6 for 5 blackjack is pretty much everywhere, including Vegas. Some higher limit tables may have 3 for 2 payouts but 6 for 5 is becoming the norm.
