For any cruise offers, the person being offered the free cruise or discount needs to travel. It's probably there in the fine print somewhere. They want that person in the casino and the offer is from the casino.
-
They should let you know with your paperwork, but I usually see the Carnival reps in the luggage claims areas of the airports i fly into. They are walking around with a Carnival transfer sign.
-
Elegant night might be a problem with no collar, from what I've seen it depends on the ship.
But Carnival is pretty lax and you should be fine with a nice shirt as long as it has sleeves.

If you use the balcony a lot and are worried about the sun, then the aft would be great for you. Of course it costs more, but you can move around to avoid the sun so it would work out for you. Have a great cruise.

Cruises make you enjoy life, have fun.

We were on the Inspiration last year and got on the day after Christmas. The ship was decorated the whole time. It was really cool to see the lights all over.

I've not had a problem with the speed. Just purchased Cheers today and it did not seem to take longer than usual. That being said, I'm not a big fan of the new website so hopefully we will get something good soon.

I agree with Karen. Keep it in airplane mode and you can use the Carnival app to text others on the ship.
Unless you really need to make and take calls, there is no need for any different plan.

We did this several years ago. Get a notarized consent form from your son's friend's parents. You can Google parent consent form cruise and find a form to fill out. We brought it and were never asked for it, but it would be awful to get asked and not have it.
We gave him permission to charge on our account but let him know his limits. His parents gave us some money for him and he did not overspend so we ended up giving him some back.
Other than that, there was not much different than any other cruise. We saw a lot less of our son because he had his friend but we all had a great time.

Has anyone been to Nachi very recently? I have heard that it has gone down a bit. I've never been and this my husbands first cruise so I want it to be the best so he will want to go again, I reserved us spots at Nachi Cocum but now since I have been reading elsewhere that it has gone downhill a bit I am worrying.
Is it easy to get a cab back to the cruise ship?
Do you tip cab drivers?

I've been there three times, going there again next month. Cabs are easy to get. For each of our three trips, the driver dropping us off asked what time we wanted to be picked up. There were on time. Even if this does not happen, the staff can call a cab for you. This will not be a problem. Have a great cruise.

You will get platinum at the start of your cruise if you hit 75 days during the trip. Last year, I was at 65 days and searched for 10 day cruises and saw the Vista Europe cruise so we booked that. We were priority on our luggage tags. There were no tenders but the laundry service was nice for the longer cruise.
-
We just turned Platinum last summer. All things being equal, I would sail Carnival. If I was looking for an upgraded cruise and wanted to pay more, I would. Right now in my life, I like what Carnival offers. We have sailed on four RCL ships and had a good time there also. We did a list of pros and cons and it was equal. Of course this is different for everyone.

I know the Freedom has most of what you are looking for. Serenity, Red Frog Pub (actual pub, not bar on the Lido, no food but good time), Guys, Alchemy. Seems like they have a lot of upgrades. I'll know more in July.

You definitely should have both got it. It's tied to his VIFP number. The first Casino offer my mom and I had we shared a cabin and both got our cash, no issues. I was primary on the booking. After that the offers were so good, we got our own cabins.
I would write to the Player's Club. If he had it in his VIFP offers at the time of sailing, he was entitled to it.
I agree you both should have gotten the casino cash. My wife and I both had the casino rate with some cash and I booked under my name. My PVP came back and told me my cash amount and also mentioned the cash amount for my wife. I never mentioned that she had the casino offer, so somehow they do link it to your VIFP number.

In my experience, they do not divert much for stormy weather - hurricanes and tropical storms are another matter. Depending on the weather, they may slow down, or speed up, but you are probably going to go through it.

I'd say that was a good call on your part. We always try to sail in a Lido balcony and got two upsells but did not like the location of the suites. I might try it one day but I would have to be fine with the cost.
-
I cruised out of there only once and it was on time. I don't think Port Canaveral is one of the ports that has issues with delays. You can always use early disembark if you want to be one of the first ones off the ship.
That being said, there is no guarantee that the ship will be there exactly at 8, it should but it may be off by a little.

Last cruise I was getting drinks for my wife and I with both of our cards all the time. You should not have a problem.

We did FTTF out of PR a couple of years ago, we were at a hotel close by and walked over around 10:30. We started to board around 11:00 and were on the Lido at 11:15 having some food.
If you have FTTF, don't worry about the boarding time of 1:30. Have a great cruise
-
It's per room and a waste of $$$$.
Did you read the question? OP knows FTTF is one per room, they are wondering how to handle it if they cannot get another one. And it may be a waste of money for you but many other people feel it is well worth the money otherwise Carnival would not keep raising the cost of it.
We did this a few years ago travelling with another two couples. They boarded after us and we met up on board and transferred their carry ons to our room. It worked out well.

We sailed on Lido balcony last summer and had no problems. It's a great location. Not noisy at all. We already have a Lido balcony on the Horizon booked for next year.

Or just create a new AARP Rewards account with another email address (doesn't even have to be real, as there is no validation requirement), and start over.
I agree, creating a new account will let you take all the quizzes again and get the points. Plus you get an initial point bonus.

I think you will need to apply the gift cards on board to get the credit on your account. Go to guest services or a kiosk to apply them.

I always tip extra even if I'm only getting a soda. The bartenders will notice you a lot quicker if you do. Last cruise I would walk up to the bar and never had to wait more than 30 seconds to get service, even if there was a bunch of people waiting.
