Is the microbrewery tour on carnival vista able to be purchased in advance or only booked once you get on the board

When you have bad weather people will just sit and talk. But thats all ships

Mine are always posted pretty fast

I'm just off the Dream. I get up at 5 am while on the ship and seen guy going down the hall with a cart picking trays up. May they need to do it a few times a day. Some cabins don't have a whole lot of space to leave trays

yikes, some harsh comments here! I think we can be a little bit nicer the way things are phrased when someone has experienced a loss, and is just asking for some advice
I'm with you on this. I'm sure they are lost and confused. I last thing they need is some smart replys

All the food they fix is better then I cook.

I stay at the Hampton and park next door at Fulton street roof top for 8 dollars a day with transfers

I have seen a small boat catch up with the ship and have people get on and I have seen a good many crying on the dock as we sailed away. One time I bet the ship wasn't 15 away and they keep going with the young lady dropping to the ground crying. You will never see
me miss the ship

Controlled substances should be in their original prescription bottle. I believe that's actually Federal Law. Otherwise, most cruisers use the 7 day dispenser type.
I think you are correct about that
-
Carnival sent me a packing list that said my prescription medications needed to be in their original bottles. My first question is why? I have never heard of this. Is it strictly enforced? I don't want to get slammed for this question, just wondering because I don't want to take all the bottles with me. Would rather use the Sunday thru Saturday dispenser.
I never take the bottles but I should because I take pain med. I think from now on I will take the the pain med. bottle.

I wonder if you are asking about something I am also curious about...I've been trying to redeem some points, and I keep getting an "error" message. Both on the app and on my computer - anyone else having this issue?
I had it happen last week and call and they took care of it over the phone. He said they been having problems

melissadoak- While history will suggest you will never be back to Cruise Critic and therefore will not see this, I am responding on the very off-chance that you do return:
Do you expect someone at Carnival to see your extremely long letter to them or have you also sent this directly to Carnival? I only got a few sentences in before I had to stop reading as it was giving me a headache. Paragraphs are your friend. Additionally, if you truly want help, you need to stick to the facts, and remove the drama and hyperbole. How badly you wanted this trip is not relevant, everyone hopes their vacation goes according to plan. However, the very nature of travel is that things will happen that are no one's fault. Good day.
I also think a shorter letter would of been better. I stopped after the first few lines

I'm Diamond and got a 50 gift card at Christmas but I did book a cruise for my Bday in July around the same time. I thought it was for Christmas but it may of been for my Bday cruise. I used it in Jan. on the Elation

We have been on 27 cruises with Carnival.
We decided to book the May 21st cruise on the Freedom out of Galveston. I thought the prices were kind of high. Carla always wants a balcony, I don't really care.
For us to get a balcony it is $1,928.32. In the past it cost around $1,200 and the last couple of years around $1,400 to $1,500 because of fuel prices they said. Fuel prices are way down right now.
While waiting for our personal cruise planner to call me back I went on Royal Caribbean just for the hell of it and looked. On May the first they have one out of Galveston, balcony is $1,797.98 with a $100.00 onboard credit. Going the same places except it goes to Falmouth Jamaica, which is supposed to be a nicer port. Nicer ship and better ports for about $250.00 less.
When my vacation planner called back I told her about this and she said all she could do is get us an extra $30.00 per person off. I asked why it was so high and she just said that cruising is real popular right now. Basically price gouging to me. I just told her I was going to have to think about it.
I don't really think I can change cruise lines right now but it pisses me off. If we went on Royal Caribbean we would lose all our privileges, long line to board, etc. Kind of feel like I wasted my time with Carnival all these years.
You should try and find a solo rate. No more deals. Like said they every one is cruising . But when fuel was way over the 70 dollar mark they didn't go up on the cruises I was on. So maybe they are making some money back that they lost

Oh I love being Diamond and get on when I want to
-
I have a great PVP and wouldn't use any one else. Now I' Diamond and don't get any price breaks but he does the best he can. The best part is when I'm done booking with him I know every think is correct I don't have to worry about name spelled wrong or any of that kind of stuff.
-
I think the Dream got in around 7 the last time and the Elation got in around 8. I don't think you will have a problem but anythink can happen. I'm Diamon and in the first ten or so to get off

The last time I left from Mobile it was a mess with the fog. I had a hotel back then with parking at the Hampton. But hey were making the port parking bigger then Carnival pulled out. I'm leaving in Jan. and some thing must be going on in town and hotels are sold out or cost way to much. I'm parking about 20 mins. away and will park at the port this time
