I’m trying to figure out how to get from the port to Hobby airport with my mom, who cannot walk a great distance without getting winded. We usually drive to port but are flying in the day before and taking an Uber to port. One of my concerns is the timing. She’s an over packer so it may take me some extra time to get bags and then walk out to transport options. I also need to walk really slowly and take frequent breaks for her. Are the shuttle services close to the terminal exit or is there a lot more walking to get to a pickup area? Any recommendations on transportation options? What is the usual off board time that is safe to arrange for a pickup? I’m nervous about ride shares due to availability as well as surge pricing. Any positive feedback is appreciated.

I’m traveling with my 21 year old son on the Venezia in June to Bermuda. It’s only a four day trip and I don’t want him to feel like he has to stick by my side. Are there any meetups on the ship for like ages? He hasn’t been on a ship since his early teens and the kids club was great for meeting new people. Any advice is appreciated.

I participated in this tour a couple of years ago. Some of the cave terrain is uneven and odd stepping as well as cramped quarters. There are a couple of quick breaks between sights and standing while the guide discusses the area. IMHO I would not hesitate to do the tour again, however not while recovering from ACL surgery.

I have the DOU promotion and my 21 yo son might be joining me on this sailing. Do I need to purchase the Cheers package for him? He’s not (as far as I know) a fan of alcohol but would use it for shakes and coffees. thank you in advance!

I appreciate everyone’s feedback. I’ll give them a call and see what my options are. I originally planned on an Uber from the airport to the Galveston hotel that I reserved so it won’t be a problem if the transportation to the port isn’t included.

We are flying into Hobby airport the day before our cruise out of Galveston. We originally planned to Uber to a Galveston hotel, spend the night and then Uber to port. With the Hobby airport hotel there is a free airport shuttle and the package rate indicates a shuttle to the cruise terminal. I haven’t found any reviews in the boards for a similar experience.

Includes parking for up to 7 nights and shuttle to and from airport or cruise port. Parking limited to one vehicle per room and shuttle for each registered guest. Please confirm schedule with hotel.

We booked the Hilton Park and Stay package for our upcoming cruise. It includes shuttle to the cruise port. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with this rate? I couldn’t find any information online. Also, how far is the walk from the ship to rideshare pickup area (Carnival). One of my group has difficulty walking distances. thank you!

I wish we had public transportation where I live (near High Point) so we are driving in. I think we will be fine as they do have a lot of parking.

Good morning! Can’t wait for this ship! Is anyone else concerned about port parking? There were always plenty of empty spaces but now that they take reservations I figured I would take a look. Reservations are not available for this sailing? down to 13 days! 😊
