I've been on Regal 5 times a year for the past 4 yrs. Going back on her in November. She is sFABULOUS ship. Nothing but praise from me. Has an amazing crew onboard, amazing customer service, and the food was outstanding. It's the BEST ship in the fleet in my opinion.

Exactly that happened to me a few years ago They asked me to bring my card to Guest Relations to verify the number.
I had the same as well happen a few years ago. Went down to Guest Services to settle.

yes you can use your OBC at the spa. Usually anytime you charge anything to your stateroom the first thing to get used up first is always your OBC. I want to say to get your nails done might be roughly like $65 but it depends exactly what you're looking at doing. Also if you don't spend that much on board the ship they do reimburse you your OBC by sending you a check in the mail about six weeks after your sailing.

Going on the Golden for 26 days...I was hoping, this is sad news.
I was onboard this summer for 4 weeks on the Golden while in Alaska. Had escargot each week. However the cruise prior to my joining they had the shrimp. My fingers are crossed for you.

Oh, I'd say 99.9% actually look at their caller ID when receiving a call.
I agree!

I'm a fraud investigator and this troubled me also. Since this was my first Princess cruise, I didn't realize they used to do it with hard copy signage. It's really not a smart thing to do. People can glean a lot of info from a name. I can picture someone calling up and pretending to be from Guest Services and saying "Hello Mr or Mrs. Doe, your credit card info is not working. Can you give me a new number?" And yeah, the creepy possibilities for kids are just not good.
There's caller ID on your stateroom cabin phone, so it would slightly difficult to pretend to be guest services. IMHO it sounds awfully silly for someone to spend their whole cruise to stalk, terrorize, steal personal info, and so on. Not saying bad things don't occur on a ship, as there's incidents that do occur. I'm just saying I think the envelope is being pushed a bit here. When it comes to kids, I am a firm believer in parental supervision. I see plenty of kids / teens wandering around by themselves.like another poster mentioned talk to your kids about not talking to random strangers when their alone.

On the Regal in the spring when they did not have, they substituted the escargot with Rockefeller oysters. They were delicious.

IF is the designation of the cabin grade. I=inside, F=location within the grade. On the Ruby, the IF cabins are forward on the Emerald and Plaza decks. In general, the A cabins are better located than B, B is better than C, etc. Princess chooses these location designations and not everyone agrees with what is ‘better’.
Princess does not use a unique identifier to designate a Guarantee cabin as some lines do.
Yup. Been saying this for years. What one person considers prime real estate may not be the same for the next guy. Which is why I have my TA uncheck the box for upgrades, as I like to handpick my deck and cabin.

It never hurts to ask. but I have a feeling it'll be more less so the normal standard plate size. So you can try asking for a appetizer portion size.

If you want your OBC to cover it, wait till you get onboard. Anything charged to your room the OBC is what is used first, before any actual charges are made to your credit card. First non-refundable OBC, then refundable is used second followed by credit card on file.

I never follow the suggested email times. I like to get there early in the morning as well around 10:30 11:00. It's usually a very nice smooth check-in system.

I have a guarantee IF on the Emerald leaving in 5 days and still no cabin! The cruise has been sold out for months. I know that I will get a cabin, but it is frustrating to wait. This was my first guarantee cabin ever (and I have cruised 63 times with Princess) and it will probably be the only time I do it. I am prepared to leave for Rome in 4 days and hope I can print the luggage tags before I go.
I've even had guarantees where you don't know your cabin assignment until after you check it. I know it's frustrating. I used to do the guarantees when I first started cruising and now I don't even bother now I hand-selected my cabin for example I love being on the emerald deck so I always make sure I get what I want.

In general you can't beat the buffet on the Voyager class ships as the food is prepared better and the selection has a nice variety of yumminess to choose from. You will be sure to find something you will like. And the flow of the layout is way better than the grand class hands down.

It's been hit-and-miss I had it luckily had it on my Alaska sailing on the Golden, but then soon after I completed all those I went on the Caribbean Princess and they did not have so they replace it with what they call shrimp cargot which is just simply shrimp and all that delicious garlic butter sauce. The reasoning behind the missing escargot is because of a shortage off the distributor that they usually get it from. Isn't very difficult to get in the last several months.

I don't understand how posting a single woman's name makes her more vulnerable than posting the names of two women traveling together, or a married woman. I'm having a hard time conjuring up a scenario where one would look back and say: "This never would have happened if Mary's name had not been shown on her cabin door."
I travel solo a majority of times on ships. Being a young woman, I have NEVER felt unsafe. Cruising is probably the safest form of travel, especially for a solo traveler. This really should not be one persons worry for an entire cruise, they should be out enjoying themselves and relaxing, that's what they paid for.

Thanks Jeter02.....have not played this game before. I believe that it is a cruise long game so is it announced in the first Patter or do you have to go to passenger services when you board?
It will be announced in the patter. If not the first day, them the second. You'll enjoy.

Enjoy your time aboard. We will be boarding in 6 weeks for our third cruise on this ship. Do you know if the ship has High Seas Heist with Detective Joe Kenda? Thanks a bunch.
Yes it does have high seas heist. However if you played already in another ship, it's the same one case fleet wide.

I think self disembarkation begins about 6:30 a.m.

For more money you can take the train into whitier. Fir me, the bus transfer was easy and we'll organized. A majority of the passengers take the bus or the train.
-
Nope. None needed.

We are boarding on the 27th. The Port Everglades website shows this ship coming into Terminal 21 that day even though you left from Terminal 2. If you get the chance, would you ask at the front desk and confirm, if they know, what terminal the ship will be at this Saturday? Thanks.
This is the only princess ships that's cruising bin and out of FLL this season. Terminal 21 sounds like an mistake. Especially since Terminal 2 is their main terminal that you s fully medallion be equipped.

Prior to the Medallion Tablet outside your cabin they always displayed the passengers name on a print out card they would slide on under the mailbox. So really it remains the same.
