  2. I'm happy knowing yhat part at least is taken care of. Oh no, the dread at middle seat. I applaud the people who sat in that middle seat on the 8.5 - 9 hour flight each way. They were true troopers and surprisingly never got up once. That's why I like the hand select I personally need an aisle seat just a stretch my leg for my knees sake.
  3. I know for myself, I like the option of pre-picking a seat. I don't mind paying an extra $40 to hand select where I wanted to sit. Even though it was within economy, at least I had the comfort of knowing I was up front within the economy section, which I prefer over being in the back of the plane. I'm sure having a ticket number would be helpful in whether to do that type of transaction. The matter of the fact is simple, from a customer standpoint we just like to have peace of mind everything is taken care of, especially for something we paid for.
  4. The shows while in Europe where scheduled at 8:00 and 10:00 p.m. but please be advised normally when it's in the Caribbean as I'm usually on the ship quite frequently including the Sky they tend to be earlier at 7:30 and 9:30pm.
  5. Ugh! I'm so sorry you are going through this. Hoping and praying it gets resolved soon. The only other recommendation is if you call Princess and demand to speak to a guest relations rep. I use a personal travel agent as well, but sometimes just to help them out I don't mind being proactive to make a phone caller or two to try to expedite and rectify an issue for my own peace of mind. Yes I'm back in Florida! I'm not sure exactly how steamy and hot it is, as I've been staying indoors in the AC. 😂 Avoiding the heat at all costs, as the countdown to Alaska is on to resume my more pleasant temperatures of choice.
  6. Yes, I always use EZair anytime I have a cruise that involves needing a flight. I would recommend calling the EZair department to see if he can get it sorted out. You should definitely have been given a ticket number by now, so I understand your concerns. Unfortunately I think you're stuck having to call the 1-800 Princess number. If easier is not on the menu then I would ask to be directed to the easier department to speak to a rep. Just out of curiosity when you go to manage your booking in your princess account online, and when you go under travel, to see your flight information.... Is there no confirmation number listed?
  7. As many know, especially those who followed my daily blog posts here, Norway has indeed captured my heart in so many ways. I am officially booked for another visit back. Slightly different itinerary, as I decided on an Icelandic and Norwegian Fjord cruise June 2025. Super excited for this.one, as I'll have new places to explore, and yet keep some favorites from this past cruise such as Àlesund, and Olden. I am also temporarily booked for a June 2024 sailing, with different stops along the way. However, not sure if I can swing it as I am already pretty booked up for the 24' summer cruise season. We shall see and play if by ear.
  8. There was an '80s cruise and the Caribbean Princess so they had double cruise directors onboard. Therefore he joined Jody Miles (current cruise director of the Caribbean Princess) just for the one cruise.

  10. Awe. Thank you so much! I will say it was nice to see a much different variety of food offerings on the menu for dinner that I typically don't see when I do the Caribbean or Alaskan sailings. I'm really glad you enjoyed following me and better yet reliving this amazing vacation.
  11. You and your family are going to have a great time on this trip, as it will be a memorable one! Olden we did not need to tender, they are always set to dock, as typically get priority over the other ship(s) in port for the day. The white and gold night is a dress to impress night. Most people were not trust in white and gold, as it's only a suggestion. It's just all about having a fun time in the piazza with some couples games and dancing with the party band for the evening.
  12. Yes I travel solo very frequently, and unfortunately, no tricks to booking less than 100% solo supplement. Just keep your eyes open for princess promotional deals going on This might have been booked or refared When the best sale promotion was out which helps tremendously. So right now I have it booked again for next year which is a little steep and price but I know they'll be a promotion deal coming along soon or eventually.
  13. You're very welcome! I'm excited for you to experience this next year as it's amazing!!! Thank you 😊
  14. I have been saying that for the past two weeks, "How lucky and blessed were we to have such fantastic weather all cruise!" We wer SO LUCKY!!!! My cheeks still hurt from what now seems like a permanent smile. 😍
  15. Thank you! That was increibly kind of you to say. I'm so happy to have tried to immerse you in my experience both on the ship as well through the destinations. ❤️
  16. Thank you so.much for your kind words. I can say with my 100+ cruises with Princess, they have never disappointed me. Better yet, it feels like home, and everyone onboard is always so wonderful and kind. My next ship coming up in 2 weeks for my B2B2B will be on the Discovery, Alaska roundtrip from Seattle.
  17. Awe! That truly makes my heart so happy to know, that you have enjoyed following me and found it helpful. I have never started a live thread before, as I worried I wouldn't want to keep up with it. However, I found it really nice to sit down whether it was in the evening, or following morning to just kind of reflect on my day in more of a blog format. Each day spectacular in its own right, so it's nice to know I'll have it documented to look back at. Thiis was a new itinerary for me to experience, which made me extremely excited to visit new places to adventure and explore. I am now considering the idea of maybe I should continue doing these blog like live threads for my upcoming cruises, as I have my Alaska sailings coming up in about 2 weeks time!?!? I've done that trip for 9 seasons and sailings to Caribbean more times than I can count, but if others find it informative enough, I may just do so.
  18. Add another beautiful day, both port wise and weather wise. Today we docked in in our final port of call Zeebrugges, the gateway to Bruges, Belgium. visited Bruges, Belgium. I'm going to be fighting lots of great valuable information if you ever do visit here in regards to transportation how to get from Is it through Bruges itself, with the iconic town, market and lakes. There's three ways of sorting out your transportation. First you can do a taxi which will cost a fixed pricing €50 one way. The taxis await right off of the gangway or the ships are. No need for the complimentary shuttle that is provided from the ship to the port entrance gate,as this is a container/ferry port. Secondly you can take the complimentary shuttle to the port entrance. You can catch a local tram to Blankenberg train station for about €2.50. I believe the tram is about six stops from the port to Blankenberg. As for the train tickets round trip is roughly about 12 or 13 euros. Once you get to the other side at Bruges it's about a 20 minute walk to the Bruges City Center market square. Finally the option that I opted for was if you did not pre-book a shuttle from the port entrance which will drop you off directly at Bruges City Center, In a parking lot with about a 10 minute walk to the market square. You can pre-book the shuttle through multiple avenues such as Viator, Get Your Guide, or Cruise Express. The shuttle is roughly all the same price about $25-28 round trip. I did not pre-book I got into a queue which you will see with a representative sitting at a table where you can actually purchase right on the spot for 25 euros. They do have two lines for those who prepaid through an an excursion website and a different line for those who would like to purchase on the spot. It wasn't the smoothest system as they do have a printed manifest of those who pre-bought. But it is one person Manning the station. They weren't very keen when I handed them a credit card as cash is quicker but most of us who were buying right there and then all did credit card. They do post the times that the shuttle runs which is every 30 minutes. And it usually starts around 1:30 for the first shuttle bus heading back. We got off the ship today about 10:00 so we arrived in Bruges at 10:30. Which I thought was adequate time from then to 1:30 to catch the first shuttle back. I do highly recommend that you make sure you're one of the first ones off the ship and even possibly one of the earlier shuttles back to the ship as the ques can be awfully long otherwise. Bruges was nice town to kind of walk through as it literally looks like a page out of a fairy tale book. If you haven't been it's always nice to check out a place at least once. If you love Belgian waffles, chocolates, or marzipan you're headed to the right place as you will find stores one after another offering those delicious sweets. Once I got back to the ship had a quick little small lunch with a salad as I didn't want to interrupt my dinner this evening. This was probably one of the best dinners I've had the entire cruise I started with the salmon cake which was phenomenal It is a hot dish but so savory and delicious. For my entree the menu is actually incorrect as they were out of Sole, but instead offered one of my all-time favorite fish barramundi which was a must for me. That was some of the best fish I've ever had and it was complimented so well with the rest of the sides that were on the dish. And I was thrilled to have my lemon meringue pie to top the evening off as it's always my go-to. I was extremely excited to see that they brought back the baked Alaska March which I feel like I haven't seen in some time. So that was loads of fun. Tonight they showtime show is rock opera performed by the Princess singers and dancers. And the game show this evening hosted by the cruise entertainment stuff is Hollywood hiccups. If you're looking for a good laugh check it out as it is just a great time to be had. As this trip comes to a close as we arrive back to Southampton tomorrow, This has been one of my most amazing cruises I have ever taken and I have taken a lot. The itinerary is absolutely magical if you're thinking of doing it or contemplating it I hope this live thread/blog has helped you decide if it's something for you. But the itinerary is truly magical, And I can't wait to come back next year / and two years from now. The crew has been phenomenal all around with top notch service always. Made some awesome connections throughout this cruise, leaving me to take home the best souvenir one can ask for which are the memories. I will be spending the next few days in London visiting family, before heading back to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Then it's off to cruising Alaska for 3 weeks. Thanks again for following along on my adventures, whether you have a trip coming up soon, or you just enjoyed vicariously living through me. Bon Voyage for now!
  19. If you did not pre-purchase or have a package that offers Wi-Fi then you can still use the app through the intranet by connecting to the medallion net fro. the Wi-Fi. However you will not have access to anything on the internet browsers as you need more than just the internet to be connected to the Wi-Fi to get that going. If you paid or have a package for the Wi-Fi, then yes it's not strictly for just the medallion app. You can use it for the web, you can stream movies, TV shows on your normal streaming providers if you choose to do so. You can use your phone like you normally would. I personally buy the internet package which, which gives me the ability to connect to the full service of the internet. So yes that's how I'm able to post your on cruise critic during my cruise. But really the main reason I take the internet out is to have the ability to stay in touch with family back at home through WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or Wi-Fi calling.
  20. Today was a very relaxing sea day which was definitely much needed. Was very leisurely taking my time for breakfast in the dining room this morning knowing I didn't have to be rushed or no to try to beat the crowds for any adventure I planned for the day. Obviously lots of activities going on all throughout the ship, including talk with the captain in the theater where they go over about how we became a captain in about the ship and gives the passengers an opportunity to ask questions. Also, on the list of activities was one of my favorite events, the voice of the ocean. At lunch in the main dining room today and kind of did a test taster did not eat everything but wanted to experiment with some new dishes. I started with two starters the salmon and the beef carpaccio. Next I had the crispy, spicy chicken an artichoke dish. I really enjoyed that very much as it was kind of like a spicy sweet and sour chicken. Lastly topped off with a few bites of it as it was rich and decadent the chocolate pecan pie with vanilla gelato on the side. Tonight was formal night and as most look forward to the night of lobster which is on the menu tonight, for those who are always on the lookout for it. I started with my favorite of escargot, followed by the tuna steaks which was very lovely. And to end with a sweet I went for the chocolate caramel mousse sable which was wonderful. In the evening they had a showtime with I believe an Elton John tribute singer, but not 100% sure as I did not go to see them. Instead I offed it to watch the most phenomenal theatrical musical show in the Vista Lounge with assistant cruise director Sarah who did phenomenal. She has studied musical theater and her voice is spectacular. I highly recommend if she's performing during your sailing go check her out! Tomorrow we will be docking in Zeebrugges, the gateway to Brugges for our last Port of call on this cruise before heading to Southampton.
