  1. I'm going with a high hopes if it's an elite benefit service such as the afternoon tea that we do have to call RS to place an order for the minimum of a day in advance they should not charge us $5. Only time will tell once this all gets implemented with a true answer will be.
  2. Does bring up the next question is will there be a fee if you decide to share one of those $15 meals at Alfredo / Gigi's?
  3. Take your ice bucket down to a bar and ask him to fill it up. I actually always bring a old school ice bag one of those medicine bags. I go down to the bars all the time to get it filled up no questions asked.
  4. We are thinking that it should not cause an additional fee if it's for an elite setup. Some people have stated that as of late they've been asking their cabin steward to do the switch out instead of as RS has been so backed up anyways. I'm going to test out the cabin steward theory this Sunday. If it is true I will be very happy because then I'll get my order rather quick instead of waiting late in the evening or the next day in most cases
  5. From the sounds of the comments from that webinar though most of those travel agents were not thrilled and said it's way too much to explain all the different things you get and don't get any longer. That seemed to be the consensus from what I was reading.
  6. I especially wish that the sales team also looks at there are many people including myself who travel solo and pay the double occupancy fee to start off with. So when they're not so cute webinar calling out standard fare people for not looking a package was disgusting. I enjoy cruising and will continue to cruise but I cruise because for me, myself, personally I enjoyed the relaxation piece the most . I also enjoy meeting new people from all over, going to shows and activities (or just having that option if I choose to participate or not), listening to live music, and eating some good food. I most certainly don't need to drink to have a good time, besides the fact I simply just don't drink.
  7. I'm the same exact way on everything you have mentioned, except different swap out orders for my mini bar. I'm like a cheap date and only ask for bottled water.
  8. For some people the amount of sea days makes a world of a difference apparently when it comes to deciding the package or which package is the way to go. I've always read that more people tend to drink when they're doing a Caribbean ceiling versus let's say a European sailing.
  9. My thought process for the introduction of these changes more specifically in regards to upcharges of casual dining is to pave the way of what possibly could be coming when the sun princess comes out. Meaning there might be new casual dining options onboard this this new class of ships.
  10. I feel very doubtful that that money will be going to that crew appreciation pull unfortunately. Which is so sad.
  11. So if you know you plan on making three or more room service orders then it's best for you to activate the app for 15 bucks.
  12. Just curious, has anyone ever asked a crew member what the percentage of people on board who book with premiere? I'd be very curious to know if it's a decent amount or not who opt for that package.
  13. They will get you one way or another. So no matter how you decide to what are your room service be prepared for the $5 fee if you are standard.
  14. And yet they don't mention about room service through the TV inquiring that $5 fee. Honestly I feel real bad what's to come get services way with all these changes. I can only imagine the amount of people who will be arguing with them.
  15. They did not make any mentioning of the restart of Planks and Steamers. They don't need to, because the more they have listed under casual dining (operational or not), the more enticing the package will look. It's like all the other things they're trying to do to make things look enticing but as many have said they're trying to entice you with things that have always been free.
  16. Unfortunately I highly doubt they will go that route as bringing wine on is personal things being brought on versus here you're buying an add-on product while you're on board with dining. This is like comparing apples to oranges.
  17. How will you sail now with all the upcoming package changes? As a lot of new changes are on its way debuting ship by ship in the next few weeks, there's a lot of unhappy feelings about these changes amongst many. Will it change the way you book? Or will you continue to book the way you always have?
  18. Alfredo's / Gigi's is a really nice sit down restaurant on the Royal class ships. They offer individual pizzas which there's a wide variety to choose from and it's a different type of style of pizza compared to the pizza on the lido deck. Besides pizza you can get calzones salads along with some other main dish on trays to choose from as well. Lastly they do offer desserts there too.
  19. Yeeesss! Same thing here I said that earlier that anytime I would order a majority time it was always canceled. And I'll never forget the one time I decided to order tacos I literally saw the guy come with the tray about 2 hours later cuz I want to see how good the GPS was and behold I saw him turn around and he left and never gave me my order but he marked it as being delivered.
  20. They still walk around. However up by the pool area it's not quite like that like I'm the old days. There seems to be fewer servers taking drink orders up by there. No worries these are not silly questions. You're fine 😊
