I love your thinking! You make a very good and valid point. Unfortunately I highly doubt that. I'm actually more shocked that they have it made people pay the difference who purchased the plus and premier package way before the price increase as they are different perks from the old to the new packages.

I did the math for standard fare goers. For myself at least, when I take the plus package cost for a 7 day cruise, and deduct the cost of wifi (elite 50% off), and crew gratitudes, it DOESN'T pay. The final cost leaves me with $266 for money I would have never touched, as don't drink alcohol, soda or mocktales. making standard fare the way to go for me, as I tag on my Wi-Fi and gratuities à la carte. I will be very sad if they decide to start charging for Alfredo's / Gigi's I think it's an abomination. 🤣😩😢. Can we please say, it's time for JP to go!

I too only book standard fare. However my interpretation in regards to alfredo is as follows: How I interpret this: If you are a plus or premier guest You will have an option to order a 3 course prefixed menu at no extra cost. Whereas guest on the standard fare will not have that option of a prefixed menu for a 3 course meal, but instead we will Have our normal standard menu. Which brings me to the hopeful thought that Alfredos / Gigi will still remain free

"For voyages embarking August 12 and beyond, guests on Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages will enjoy savory prix fixe dining options in the ship's casual restaurants, including Vines, Salty Dog Pub, O'Malleys, Ocean Terrace, Planks, Steamers, Alfredo's, and GiGi's. The addition of new three-course, pre-fixed menus gives Plus and Premier guests more food options than ever before without any extra charges. For those who prefer sailing on Princess Standard, the casual prix fixe dining will be $14.99 and individual selections will continue with a la carte pricing." Ugh! I was just reading about this for Alfredo's/Gigi's. I have seen that on Gigi's on the Enchanted they do have some items that are extra charges along with the complimentary regular items. Plenty fingers are crossed that they're not charging you for a full sit down meal there now. If so this is a very sad day.

Horray!!!! So glad you had an opportunity to meet him! -
Oops. I meant they moved it to 8:00 - 10:00. Just fixed it above. Thanks.

I'm usually on the sky during the winter and spring season and the shows are always 7:30 and 9:30. However while the ship is sailing at a Southampton/ Europe they moved the showtimes to the later slots of 8:00 and 10:00. I think that's just typical of the European culture where they tend to do things later in the evening.

Well to go from 4 to 150 reserved seats on the same exact ship, weeks apart, is a big difference.
-
I was on the sky a few weeks ago for 2 weeks, and they only had four reserved seats with the seat coverings. 150 is an awful lot, I wonder if it changes each cruise based on how many people actually have the premier package?

I'm so glad you and the whole family had such a wonderful time! It was indeed probably one of my favorite cruises I've done all around. We did have some fantastic entertainment that cruise. I agree with your DS, swirls is definitely mighty tasty 😉
