I checked with the front office -- sorry, he leaves the ship the day you arrive, April 6. But, there will no doubt be another piano man joining the ship, and I suspect they play similar things.

Thanks for checking.
Have a safe trip home. Rush hour traffic on I95 can be very slow. I would take the Florida Turnpike to Fort Pierce and switch over to I95 there (about a mile).

Dave,
I am enjoying your blog. We will be on the Maasdam for the first time April 6. I enjoy piano bars. The music David Anthony lists sound just right for me. Do you know if he will still be on board in April?
Thanks.

Does anyone actually have the menu from the Seaview on Brillance? We will be going on Serenade next May to the Mediterranean and assume the menu will change to what is currently offered on Brillance. My younest son is hoping they will still have the onion rings, Nathan's hot dogs, etc.
Thanks!
Mary Anne
Don't ass u me. Brilliance had the different menu when it was sailing in the Caribbean.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience.
Can you tell me how far in advance you need to show up for the shows that you reserve and also approx how much time is needed for a relaxing dinner in the dining room.
You need to be at shows 15 minutes early; they let those without reservations in shortly after that. If you are particular about seats, then come half an hour early.
Dinner in the MDR often takes up to two hours. On the first night, our waiter asked what pace we wanted to be served and we were out in 0ne hour, 15 minutes each night (as we wished). If you have a show that is close after dinner, tell the waiter and they try to accommodate you.

When the Brilliance was in the Caribbean in 2006, they served Italian, not fish and chips, tuna melt, onion rings, etc. as was on the Jewel.

I am a diamond C&A member and have never missed a Friday evening service. There is always Challa & wine, as well as prayer books and kippot. During the holidays, there is usually a rabbi on board. At other times, one (or more) of the guests leads services; I have done it several times.
Also, RCI no longer has bibles in the cabin, but have available Hebrew/English Tanachs. Ask your Room steward for a "Torah." (That's what it is called in the literature in your cabin.
In July, on the Allure, while we were still in Cozumel, we had about 40 people attending services at 5:15.

Great "Live from" as usual. Can't wait for my turn on July 3.
Did the ship remain on EDT the whole cruise?

I have been off the CC boards for a few years and when I log back in what is the first thing I find? That Radio is still going strong!
I still have the thread Theron put together years ago booked marked with the links to your 'Live Posting's'
http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=399419
We are sailing the FOS in Sept, do you have a 'Live from the FOS' the wifester can watch an read?
Radio has one from 2009. Click on Albums in his signature and then Live from at the top. Also, Trainman-2 has a similar thread from two weeks ago

Just bumping link to spread sheet; it may not include last 40 posts

Since you are sailing Royal Caribbean, the document you want is called the "Set Sail"pass. You can print it after you do on-line check in.
YOu can also, from that same RCCL site request luggage tags be mailed to you from about 6 weeks before the cruise until two weeks before the cruise.

It is the same menu all the time. They were open There are a wide variety of crepes, a few with eggs others with veggies or meat, and then there are dessert crepes. They also have salads. I had a Mexican crepe and then a chocolate one for dessert. I was stuffed. I'm sure you could have had a salad and a third crepe if you wished. It is well worth the $5. As I recall, they were open very long hours - from morning until after midnight.

I bought my Seiko on board several years ago and it is still working fine (have replaced the battery).
