My middle name story: My father went to college (in the Pacific Northwest) in the 30’s. He had a girlfriend but they knew they could never marry. Why? She was Caucasian and he was Asian. So my middle name is her name. I’m not sure my mom knows. 

Ordering from both restaurants 😉: Caesar salad with anchovies of course, escargot, rack of lamb, and I’ll try the Floating Islands for dessert. 😋  

Antipasti, veal osso bucco, cobbler. Although I love tikka masala. Hmmm. 

I use a TA and she would get the upsell notices. I let her know in advance what I’m willing to pay for an upsell. She knows me and knows if I would like the cabin offered. If at or below my price she will grab the offer. If it’s more she will contact me to discuss. 

I was almost in the same situation a few years ago. Guest #1 got ill and wasn’t sure if she would make the cruise. Our TA said don’t cancel Guest #1, just check in (me as Guest #2) and say the other person is coming later. Cancel Guest #1 right before the ship sails (not sure if you would need to do this on a free casino-comped cabin). Luckily she was able to make it and we had a lovely cruise. 

I’ll have the crab cake, tomato & watermelon salad, pork schnitzel, and pear streusel.

Good morning! Thank you for the HAL fleet report and all the daily information. Banana cream pie is one of my favorites. 😋 I have the Sound of Music downloaded, it’s one of my favorites. 🙂 

Shopping today with DD and possibly lunch at a Mongolian BBQ. Then hopefully church so I can go to the cemetery early tomorrow. Or I’ll just go after church tomorrow but it will just be busier.

I think being on airplane mode prevents the phone/watch from updating. So I do the same thing as others have mentioned: When on a cruise I turn OFF the automatic time on my phone and set it manually, changing it when necessary. Then I KNOW I’m on ship time.

And right now the biggest concern in Afib, which they are trying to manage with meds.  She can’t even have ice chips until someone from Speech makes sure there was no damage from the ventilator tube. 
 

Her son came down from Boston and though he has some work to do, he is here and can see for himself how she is doing. Her daughter arrives on Saturday. 
 

I am tired. Emotionally and physically. But her place is cleaned up, her laundry is done and she doesn’t have any messes to come home to.
