  1.  Checking in. 😉

Dinner twice in Club Orange dining room. Went to the M&G yesterday. Been to the Thermal Suite yesterday and today. DM loves it.

Drove a 6-seater golf cart at Grand Turk (HAL shorex) today.  Note for those with motion sickness: With the 4-seaters 2 of you are riding backwards. We got the 6-seater so we could put DM’s folding WC in the golf cart with us.

Haven’t made it to the Dutch Cafe. Tonight is dinner in the Tamarind.

TV froze last night; would not come off the shorex station. Put in a request this morning via the app. When we came back onboard it was fixed.

All aboard was at 2:30pm. Just heard an announcement IN THE CABIN for 4 people (2 cabins). Sounds like the same family. Hope it’s just a glitch with the scanner.

Good morning, FLL! I count 6 ships, but it's dark so that may not be accurate. Busy, busy day for sure. From my vantage point, I see people going up and down the escalator preparing to process all of us - coming and going.

Sun is thinking about rising - this is probably the best I can do as we need to go to breakfast then get off here - @POA1 insists on a cabin, lol!

Thank you for taking us with you. Safe travels home!

    Now it’s our turn. 😉

  3. Flight was great. We left 8 minutes late but arrived 27 min early. I took advantage of my First Class upgrade and had Bailey’s on the rocks at 7am (it’s 5 o’clock somewhere! 😉). Breakfast was a 3-cheese omelette or a charcuterie board.

My sis and her DH had arrived just before we touched down so sis was able to help me with my luggage.

Hotel room is huge! We had stayed at a Hyatt Place in Miami this past Feb and it had 2 double beds plus a L-shaped sofa with a bed in it. So we chose the Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port & Convention Center. This is the same setup PLUS a nice desk/work area and a wet bar.

Sis had heard that Kelly’s Landing was pretty good so we went there for dinner. Good thing we went early as at 5pm there was already a line to get in. And yes, it was good. 😋

We arranged for the hotel shuttle to take us to the cruise port at 11am. We have the first boarding time at 1pm Group A, as the NS is going through various inspections and immigration for the crew. So we plan to have a nice leisurely breakfast at the hotel then take our time checking out and boarding our BHB.

  4. At the airport gate. Left the house on time (3am) but had to return after 12 min, I forgot my watch and ring. No traffic until we got to the airport but it wasn’t too bad.

I actually got everything done last night and went to bed at a decent hour so I slept in my bed instead of the recliner. (If I go to bed after DH I’ll sleep in the living room so I don’t disturb him.)

I’ll try to check in later.

  5. Good morning Dailyites!  Thank you for the HAL fleet report and all the daily information.

Clothes are packed, just need to pack all the rest. I checked in with the airlines and the boarding pass is in my wallet. Need to go to the post office, a quick run to the grocery store (see PSA below), and make dinner (so DH has some leftovers).

Flight leaves ~6am so we need to leave the house at 3am. But it’s nonstop (and I upgraded myself to first class). Called the hotel yesterday to confirm my reservation.

I’ll try to keep up with the FR & D but y’all know how cruise internet is. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Thank you all for caring and sharing. Stay safe and healthy everyone.

PSA for AirTag users: When you change your (CR2032) batteries, do NOT get the ones with child-proof coating.

It has been quite busy around here. But my news is my sweet niece had her baby. She was 3 weeks early and came a little quicker than expected. She was born at home with the help of the wonderful Paramedics! Her DH called my sister to say she was starting contractions. My sister went to get the 2 year old. She came around the street corner to police cars, ambulance, firetruck. The policeman said you must be Grandma, come meet your new granddaughter! My poor sister almost fainted!  But all s well. Baby weighed in at 7 pounds!  Mom and baby were bundled off to the local hospital. My niece is an ER nurse at Bostons largest hospital.  Her name is Maeve Grace. Grace is because all went well because of the Grace of God.

  7. Good morning. Christmas cards for work were distributed and mailed yesterday. Family and friends cards will be mailed this week.

Yesterday was my last day in the office. I’ll work from home through Thurs. I took Fri off to get all the last minute things done before vacation. Hair appt today, nails on Thurs. And I still need to pack.

I thought I would need to leave the house at 2:30am to go to the airport but since it’s Sat I think 3am will be fine. Which makes DH happy but he’ll still prob be too tired to go for his Sat morning bike ride.

Thank you all for caring and sharing.  Prayers for everyone who needs them.  Cheers for all the celebrations. Stay safe and healthy everyone. 🙂

Is it just me or do others also wish people would not use the elevators and decor as resting areas for their spent food and vessels?🤔

In other words, please don't leave your dirty dishes in the floor at an elevator or in a planter. Thank you!🙄

I think Deck 5 has a resident slob.

Sheesh. 😳 What is wrong with people? 😡

  9. Good morning Daily family. The Harvest Festival yesterday with DD was nice. We both just got a couple items. And DD found $5 in the parking lot!

I’ve got to get my act together. I need to finish the cards/treats for the office. I only go in on Monday, the rest of the week is work at home. And I’m volunteering at church this weekend. And I need to start packing for my trip.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend. Stay safe and healthy!

I am so happy to announce that DGS Ren has decided to verbally commit to further his academic and athletic career at the University of Notre Dame after graduation in 2025.  I am so proud of this decision because he weighed all his options and I think made the correct decision for his own needs.  DS says the soccer coaching staff are a good fit for Ren.  Notre Dame is currently listed as #2 in the nation and play in the quarterfinals this Saturday.

    GO IRISH!

Ok, here we go - things have just been "off" on this cruise; I think I mentioned that earlier. We gave it a few days thinking they just needed to get back into their routines, you know, channel their inner Stella and get their groove back since they're once again interacting w/passengers. But time hasn't helped. Nothing major, just a lot of little things starting to pile up -

😳😡 Uh oh, I hope they get their groove back soon. 🤞
