The  company that is making these offers is run by a couple that started, ran, and sold a company that allowed people to trade time share weeks for cruises.  If you think it sounds like a time share hard sell it is because that is the history of the owners of this company.  Open Network Exchange is the name of the company.

John and Marcia Rowley, founders and former owners of International Cruise & Excursions, Inc. (ICE),

I have been called twice. From what I am seeing here, I am glad that I turned them down. Thank you CC friends.

The Classic Soda does not include cans

According to the descriptions Princess website, cans of soda are included in the classic soda and zero alcohol packages, just not the plus or premier packages for some reason.

That does make me feel better, that’s it’s probably not a mistake. And as long as Princess has the right info for us, I don’t care what color it is.  Too bad it’s not purple since that’s my favorite color 🤪

You could get a nice purple holder or wristband.

Really? I had no idea I could spend "part" of a gift card. This is the first time we've had a B2B2B that wasn't cancelled due to Covid. (We've had two of them cancelled.) I've only used them on single cruises before. Hmmm... This changes things. It means I can fully pay off all 3 segments with gift cards.

If I can have "leftover" funds applied as OBC that is even better. The first (14 day) segment has only the Shareholder OBC as I had no FCD when I booked it. (The second and third segments have shareholder OBC, FCD OBC, and Promotional OBC.)

I write the balance on a printed copy of the digital card so i know what is remaining but you can also check the balance through the Princess web page. Just click on gift cards under celebrations at the very bottom.

Realized that I can't "split" the gift cards. My booked cruises don't come out to even numbers of $500 gift cards (duh...) so I'm buying 6 $100 gift cards. That way I can pay for a cruise with a bunch of $500 cards and add 2 or 3 $100 cards to make up most of the balance so I don't end up owing so much in other payment. Just bought 5 of the $100 cards.

I feel very sorry for my TA having to deal with Princess to use all of these cards. I would do it myself if Princess would let me but, since we are booked with a TA, I don't believe they will let me make payments on my own.

If by split you mean partial use, you could always do that before? You could apply part to one cruise and save the rest for another or apply the remainder to your account onboard. Has something changed?

I felt the same about burdening my TA but she is good about it and I tip with praise and great reviews. I will get over it for the money I save.

  6. I noticed earlier than usual ticketing also. I presume it is a fix to the issues they had during the restart where flights were cancelled for some because EZAir did not ticket them in time, but don't know for sure.

Oh thank goodness!! I'm spending 3 weeks on her (5/27-6/17) and love those motion sensor lights!

That is the real issue, some love them, but some hate them. I do not like being blinded and waking my DW if I get up at night. And sometimes the closet one would come on for no apparent reason in the middle of the night (hanger movement?). The other one would come on if you dropped a pillow or blanket edge over the bedside. It would have been so simple to install them on a switch so as to be an option, but no, that would have made too much sense.  Now I need to pack electrical or painters tape to cover the sensors.

Is it possible to just ask them not to put the candy on? Was it like a milkshake on the inside?

I didn't ask to hold the candy, so I don't know for sure, but they are made as ordered, so I don't see why they couldn't do that. Inside the glass on this one was vanilla gelato and New York cheesecake. the chocolate and sprinkles on the outside were frozen on hard. I would rather of had just the cheesecake with the gelato on the side.

That's where these are being served on Caribbean Princess. People wanting free ice cream are having to wait in the same line as those wanting Premium Desserts.

Same here on the Emerald, but not too busy when we went. It took about 5 min to prepare it while we sat at an adjacent table. Way over the top for us and we shared one. The hard candy went in the trash. One and done for us.

I also thought about the thousands of these things per cruise times hundreds of cruises seems like a huge waste. Here’s a thought how about a medallion that simply gets programmed to you and once you board ship it identifies you and operates like planned.

I asked the medallion people at an onboard presentation when they first came out in 2019 that same question. Environmentally it would seem to make more sense to issue one without the cruise info on it and with a replaceable battery. At that time they said that they were looking into that and they encouraged recycling. It might have something with shoreside security being able to see the cruise ship and dates without scanning but I've never had any look that closely at it. It would also be a huge step to expect the normal cruiser to find their medallion and replace the battery for their next cruise. Most would arrive with dead medallions and there would be a battery replacement line 🤔 More likely, they think this way is less expensive. Now it is a money maker to charge $10 shipping each cruise.
