  1. Another reason I opt for the anytime dining, is you're not locked in to eating dinner at the same time every night. If you've had a long day in port and you feel like having a nap before dinner, there is no need to rush. Same if you like to have a cocktail and/or listen to some live music before dinner. I just love the freedom of doing what I want, when I want. Of course not everyone feels the same...that's why most cruise lines give you a choice.

  2. I wasn't advertising for the travel agency. Someone's post was taken down and someone else asked, I just repeated what he had said. How do I know if that deal will be matched by another TA, or by the cruise line itself? It's hard to tell people where to look if you can't mention the names. Maybe we could use initials? Pidgin English? Charades?

  3. I always choose anytime dining now...on my first cruise there was traditional dining, and my tablemates stopped coming after the first few nights. Now, if you don't want to eat alone, when you go each night you can let the Maitre D know that you'd like to sit with other people. You may be seated with other singles!

  4. I have never sailed on NCL, but I'm considering a 7 night Western Europe round trip from Rome, on August 26. on Epic. The rate for a studio is very attractive. Only thing is that the airfare costs as much as the cruise.

  5. In March I cruised on the Carnival Liberty for 7 nights out of Miami. It was an excellent experience, no badly-behaved adults or kids, although there were a lot of college-age spring breakers. The "Carnival 2.0" ships are the ones who have upgraded food and bar choices such as Guy Fieri's Burger Joint, a Mexican Cantina, sushi, fish and chips, the usual pizza place, and also a new specialized Rum Bar on one side of the main pool, and a Tequila Bar on the other side. The Liberty has had this upgrade. Check the cruises you are interested in and the reviews will tell you if the ship has been upgraded.

  6. Hi, I just saw this thread while looking for my own roll call, which is 12/01/14, also on the Brilliance. My brother leased a car from Fuccillo Kia in Cape Coral, so he registered for this cruise and invited me as his guest. The 12/6 sailing was sold out at that point (late May) so we are booked on the 12/1 sailing. This cruise is NOT all Fuccillo customers, it is open to the public.

My brother did the registering for the cruise, and he does not remember anything on the form about requesting specific cabins, or balcony upgrades for $200. We certainly would have done an upgrade for that price. I wonder if we can make a request now? Other than that, we paid what you did, along with $59 each for travel insurance. This will be my fifth cruise, but my first on RCI. My brother has never cruised before. Thanks for posting, and let me know if you have any updates!
