  1. Here are a couple of photos of the balcony of Enchanted Dolphin 728, which is the same as 727.. This balcony is the largest of the aft suites. There is lots of uncovered space for sunbathing!
  2. Suggestion if you are planning to go to Mt Dalsnibba. Don’t go in the early morning as it’s often foggy up there. We learned this from experience.
  3. If you booked your cruise with Costco, you can now cancel online.
  4. I called my TA last week to cancel a cruise for next March. He had to call Princess because we had ez air, which made it a bit complicated. Anyway, the cruise was cancelled and confirmation email received while I was on the phone.
  5. We received an email from Princess yesterday regarding our March 16/24 cruise to Hawaii. Instead of one day in Kona, we will be overnighting there.
  6. We usually travel with my brother and SIL. We always book a suite and they book a regular balcony. We don’t do everything together. We always have breakfast at Sabatinis. Wouldn’t miss it. We also go for the free specialty restaurant the first night. We do have dinner together in the main dining room. We all enjoy spending time in our suite and lounging on our large, wraparound corner balcony.
  7. I’m in a full suite, 15 days, as I was on the Enchanted. Perhaps this is something new? Anyway, I’ll certainly check it out when on the Discovery.
  8. We were on the Enchanted last September and no invitation. We’ll be on the Discovery in March, but I’m not holding my breath.
  9. What about 360: An Extraordinary Experience? We always cruise in suites and have never been invited to this.
  10. We’re with you. We book as early as possible in order to get our favourite aft corner suite.
  11. I don’t recommend Princess insurance. My husband & I got Covid the last two days of our Enchanted cruise last September. Princess sent us to a hotel as we had to quarantine for ten days in order to return to Canada. The insurance gave us a really hard time. You would think they would work closely with the cruise company but that was not the case. It took six months for them to process our simple claim.
  12. My husband and I came down with Covid on the last three days of our TA cruise on the enchanted Princess in September. We recently received a check for $1,400 for ten days in isolation(seven days at a New York hotel after the cruise) it was in cdn, although our food expenses were in usd, but we were happy to get anything. We received three days FCC, which expires next September, but our next cruise is in November🙁
  13. We are not expecting a refund, but a FCC to our next cruise, which we have had booked for some time.
  14. I disembarked the Enchanted Princess on September 17 an am still waiting for my refundable onboard credit and FCC from three days in Covid isolation.
  15. When I tested positive on our recent Enchanted TA, I inquired about the possibility of receiving paxlovid, as I’m vulnerable and was worried about becoming very ill. I was told that they did not have paxlovid onboard. Luckily, my symptoms were relatively mild.
  16. My husband and I recently returned from a TA on Enchanted Princes. Three days before the end of the cruise, we both came down with Covid. We called the medical office and someone came to check the results of our positive self tests. We were allowed to remain in our aft corner suite, which happened to be on the Covid floor - Dolphin deck We were given the following information sheets and told that someone would check on us daily. This never happened. We ordered meals through room service, which was ok. We were brought clean towels every day. We had planned to stay two days in New York and had a flight scheduled on September 19. Since we are Canadian, we had to quarantine for ten days per Canadian regulations, so Princess changed our flight to September 24. The issues increased upon disembarkation. None of the information on the sheet happened. There was a group of more than thirty of us and we were gathered in one of the lounges when all passengers had disembarked. New passengers were using the same elevators as the Covid group - a great way to spread Covid at the beginning of the new cruise. We were led off the ship and told where to wait for transportation. It was a hot, sunny day. After two hours, it was more than clear that transportation would not be coming. One woman passed out and an ambulance was called. She didn’t want to go to hospital. The cruise director happened to walk by. My husband approached him and asked for help. He messaged Customer Relations and someone came out with water and sandwiches. Four SUV’s were brought to take us to the hotel and it took quite some time to transport everyone. When we arrived at the hotel, there was no one waiting to greet us. We were on our own. Our stay was only authorized to the 19, and not the 24th, so we didn’t know if it would be covered. Front desk couldn’t tell us the Princess rate, but the amount that came up on the screen was almost $5,000. We decided to move to a Marriott where we have points, as we didn’t want to risk receiving such a large bill that might not be covered. Our bill at checkout showed that we were charged for September 16, when we were still on the ship. They couldn’t change it and and we were told to send it to our insurance. I spent a long time on the phone with Princess trying to get confirmation that we would receive FCC for the three days in isolation on the ship and $100 per person/day for meals as promised. No one at Princess was able to confirm this. After a few weeks at home and more phone calls and emails, we now have the reimbursement confirmations. After all this, we will continue to sail with Princess as we still enjoy the product. I sympathize with the original poster. His situation was handled very poorly. We at least received some information sheets, even though stated supports were not in place. I urge him to continue to fight for everything he is due. Princess should have a standard policy for these situations. M
  17. We were recently on Enchanted Princess, and there were hand wash stations at the entry to the buffet. There was always someone urging people to wash their hands. Not everyone complied.
  18. We were also charged for a three night stay, beginning with the night of the 16th, when we were still on the ship 😳 I have tried to get confirmation that we will receive a FCC for the last three days of the cruise, when we were in isolation, and the $100 pp/day, for the week we were in quarantine. No one is able to give us this confirmation. The person I spoke to earlier today was trying to help me, but the call eventually dropped, as is usually the case. He said that the customer resolution department no longer exists😳. I’m very frustrated and unhappy with Princess due to all of this.
  19. We got Covid three days before the end of our TA on Enchanted Princess recently. We were allowed to quarantine in our aft corner suite on Dolphin deck.
  20. I don’t mind waiting, but I’m unable to confirm the refund amount, number of days to be credited due to Covid isolation and the number of days $100 pp/day food allowance for hotel quarantine.
  21. We were recently on the Enchanted Princess. Quarantine was the same - mid to front, port side on Dolphin deck. Both sides were open at the aft elevators. We were in the aft corner suite and had no access issues.
  22. On our final stateroom account which was recently emailed to us after our TA cruise, it showed one amount -“Referred to Corporate Finance” of $272.99. Is this a refund? When I added everything up, it should be a refund in this amount. Why can’t they just say refund so that people understand?
  23. At Sabatinis breakfast you don’t usually have a main server. They all serve you. On our recent Enchanted TA, we tipped all six of them equally, and gave the host at the door, Viktor, a little extra. They were all wonderful!
  24. There was some shade, as you can see from the photo, but it was later in the morning. Most of the shade depended on the direction of the ship. We were on the TA going west, so we had direct aft sun in the morning from the East, and then it shifted to port side in the afternoon. The table and chairs were then in the shade. The suite on the other side of the ship received more shade on this particular cruise, as the starboard side was facing North.
  25. We just returned from the TA cruise on Enchanted Princess, which is basically the same ship. We were on Dolphin deck in corner aft suite D726. It was wonderful. We spent a lot of time on the deck, a wonderful place to avoid crowded spaces!
