Just came home from grocery Shopping and guess what Prices have gone up. Same for electricity, heating, ...
And that is why supermarkets like Aldi and Lidyl are doing so well here in UK
There goods are about 30% cheaper and most are as good or better that the big supermarkets.

As European citizens over 65 we got to ride all public transport free by just showing our drivers licence...absolutely brilliant public transport system it is too in Budapest.
Used the trams, metro and buses, love this city.

Future cruise credit must be booked within 2 years. If I remember correctly each passenger could purchase up to 4 vouchers (pay $100 per voucher and each was worth $200 credit). I am not certain but I am pretty sure you cannot use OBC to purchase the vouchers.
I think your best bet would be to try and renegotiate with your travel agent.
Just off a Viking river cruise and our Hotel director told us we could use our OBC for a future cruise certificate and we did just that.
Cannot see any expiry date on it either.

Did you look at the difference between the rate at which those shops sell forints for euros, versus the rate at which they sell euros for forints? They usually have a 10% or more spread on these rates, so they have no need for "commission". Both my no-fee bank ATM card and my no-fee credit card charge about 0.25% commission above the inter-bank rate, so their spread is about one half of one percent. I happily pay that commission versus using the "no commission" shops. Note that non-bank ATMs (often found in airports and hotels) do have additional fees and poor exchange rates; I stick to ATMs associated with banks. IME buying foreign currency at home is both considerably more expensive than buying it in country (assuming that you have a no-fee ATM card and use it at a bank), and exposes you to the risk of having something happen to that currency while traveling. I strongly recommend if one does much international travel, getting Credit Cards and ATMs that minimize out-of-country fees. Then use bank ATMs for currency or charge with credit cards.
All I know is we changed some of our dollars at the exchange shop round the corner from our hotel and we got more than when we got them in UK so that was good enough for us, did not need too many just enough for our evening meal as they did not take Euros.

Just spent 3 days in Budapest prior to our Viking cruise and took some Forints with us as we did not want to have an evening meal in our hotel and guess what there were lots of small exchange shops all around us and we got more forints for our euros than we did at home.
Also there was no commission.
Sorry but in our experience they prefer their own currency to others, plus its great for the cheap public transport.

I would think that what you are hoping for is about impossible on a Viking longboat, having done 2 this summer and watched people struggling to cope with relativity minor walking issues.
Another problem for them was the lack of accessibility when using the coaches for the included trips.

Take a look at MTD or My time dining to give it its full title then you can eat whenever you want, but usually tell them the night before what time you would like that to be.

it is pathetic here in the UK since they took their call centre to Guatamala, used to have great service with the folk here in UK but no longer.

If you are sailing from Southampton the workers dockside who take your luggage do not expect tips.
In fact I have never seen anyone give them one.

Just teasing, I have no opinion anymore, the markets recovered
Thank you. lets see what our new Prime minister does.

When are the disembarkation times for Harmony of the Seas in Barcelona?
We are on the september 11th - 18th, returning to Barcelona on sunday. Wondering if it's safe to book a 10:50-flight or if we should stay a few more nights instead.
How long has the wait been at customs? (European citizens)
No customs at the seaport just at airport.
-
The Oasis class ships have the additional issue of only being able to dock at deep enough ports.
And that would be Southampton

Noone cares about you wasting one cent on a phone call, email RCL, whats the attitude about?.......:rolleyes::rolleyes:
What a charming attitude.

CruiseCritic did not provide a link (at least not that I see), and I had not searched. Thanks for the rest of the story. I hope the guy gets his act together and becomes more settled (but not holding my breath).
BTW I don't think drug dealers tend to use banks - but not knowing any drug dealers I might be wrong:rolleyes:
Thom
Here in the UK you have to go thro hoops to open any sort of account dealing with money just to prove you are not a drug dealer.
Talk about innocent til proved guilty.

Guys/Gals,
Does anybody have any feedback on her as a concierge? I sail pretty soon and I always like to hear peoples opinion on if they liked the concierge or not.
Thanks,
RM
Love her.

Just done our first River cruise and they put a large bottle of water in your cabin every day and handed water to you as you left the boat each morning as you went ashore.
A REFRESHING change.

Really enjoyed your blog, nice and precise with great photos, thank you.
Loved your trip round Europe too, brought back many memories, had almost forgotten about Quimper.

If the 3 stranded passengers could not show a seapass then they had had it but if they had one and all info correct then they were most likely stranded passengers and not terrorists.

I was recently in a suite with access to CK on Harmony. I was "worried" that the suite experience would sway our decision for future cruises. It definitely has but not like you would think. I did not find anything special about being in a suite and coastal kitchen was no better that the MDR. The diamond plus lounge was far more fun than sitting around snotty toffees. The service was far superior in the DL also.
we just did a 7 day on the Harmony just to be able to try things like the Coastal kitchen and thought it was excellent much better than any dining room we have been in.

If you are dreaming or not - I don´t know. All I know is you are spreading wrong information.
Sorry you feel that I was spreading wrong information but that was not as that happened when we were on Ovation, was it different when you were on?
If it was then all well and good but believe me I really do NOT send wrong information just like to help when ever I can but will not do so in future if people like you have that sort of attitude and want to keep on about things not written that you can completely agree with.
-
All your ports are doable on your own, even Athens where there is an express bus into the city from the docks.
-
This is completely wrong !!!
Ovation has a CL on deck 12 and D+, Pin and Suite guests have Access.
So having been on Ovation I am wrong, must have been dreaming then.

I agree Brugge is a medieval town and much nicer and plenty there to do
Chocolate there is a must.
There is a train that runs not far from the dock straight into Bruges...very quick.
A bit hard to find station but look for the water tower then go into the housing estate look for train sign and it is the end of the line.
Only goes from there to Bruges and pay conductor on the train.
