There’s no age limit. I was on getaway last week, ppl had sleeping babies and toddlers at the party. Come on... it was after 11pm. Please put those sleeping kiddos to bed instead of holding them while you danced.

Definitely a fun time for all. Kids club even gets the kids painted up for the festivities.

Kids cannot go in the main pool by the stage. You can sit in between both pools to still hear the band and activities but also be close to the splash area.

If you got the specialty dining package, book your specialty dining as soon as you can, I think it's 90 days out. Otherwise, you're stuck with 9:30pm reservations.

Not true. Not all reservation times are released online. You can make reservations for almost any time you want as soon as you board.

You won't have any issues using one of the garages when you are coming.

Good to know I won’t be driving around in circles during the day. I’ll take my car since that will make my plans easier for the rest of the day.

Thanks everyone for all your replies. I will try one of the garages or street parking. Hopefully it won't be too bad as I will be there early Friday and then heading north towards FLL. I would definitely try uber if it was a Thurs-Sat night. Sounds horrible.

I will have a rental car and I'm staying near MIA. Is it easier to take public transportation to spend some time in Brickell or just take the car and find parking for a decent rate? Any parking or transportation suggestions?

Just adding to the general concensus that your live thread was great! I’m actually sad it’s over because I’ve enjoyed catching up with our bliss cruisers to see what everyone was up to that day. Sorry your thread got side tracked a bit. Enjoy your last night.

And I doubt they would be able to “Americanize” that pool deck. That’s why I would never sail that ship.

Ncl usually has a menorah at the guest service desk for the nights of Chanukah. Now don’t expect it to always be lit for the right number of nights. But they did at least have one. I didn’t see anything in terms of decor except for that on display for Chanukah.

This was my biggest complaint on escape. Not enough dancing music and venues. There is not a dedicated night club and at midnight we’d go to the lounge in the casino but they’d still be playing Latin music. I only enjoyed dancing at glow. The lack of dance music would keep me from booking escape again. I found myself going to bed earlier than normal this cruise.

I just got off today 12/2. Brat pack was supposedly a new cast just starting my week. After midnight (I didn’t see), fly boys (just started this week. I only saw them in howl), and some comedy acts.

I just got off escape today :loudcry: I will re-live the cruise again through your review. What ppl say about howl is true for night 7. Last night a lot of performers showed up and were playing and singing for us and Tyler jumped on the drums. I had to drag myself out of there at 1am since it was an early day today. Also the dining room menus changed this past week. Seemed like more pasta and less protein. Have fun!!!! I sure did.

Wahoo!! Just got our bid accepted for a balcony cabin from an inside cabin! We originally bid $75/pp, but saw one or two from our cruise getting accepted at $100/pp. So, I upped our bid to $105/pp yesterday and BAM, bid accepted today.

 

We are cruising the Escape on Nov. 25th. :)

Has anyone received an upgrade e-maill when the booked a few weeks before the sail date? We just booked for a trip leaving on 11/18 and wondering if we have any chance of getting an upgrade... Thanks!

I booked 4 weeks out from my cruise. I never got an email however the option appeared about two days after booking when I logged into Ncl website. So I’m not sure if or when I would’ve gotten the email since I put in a bid that day. It’s a very big and obvious option for your cruise when you logon. You can’t miss it. It scrolls like the option to get a drink pkg.

You can usually tell on the deck plans. I’m pretty sure for getaway you can see where the bump out is that seems to extend into the next room. That’s where the bed is.

Oh yuck! I'll continue to opt for mudslides from the bar. Though it's probably made with dessert mix too. ;p

No food or drink are free on harvest caye. We still had a good time. There were plenty of chairs and umbrellas on the beach and those were free. We went back to the ship for a late afternoon lunch but had water and snacks in our beach bag.

I didn't get reservations online either. All the good times were taken. I was just on breakaway and we went to le bistro as soon as we boarded to pick times. We got everything we wanted. Dont worry about not seeing good times online. I just dont remember how we knew it go to le bistro. It'll work out for you too.

Just curious if RCCL and Celebrity are allowed to use ferry.

I just got off breakaway. They did check to see if you had an NCL key card. So I don't think the other cruise line passengers would be allowed on.
