I stay in a hotel the night before near the port. I've taken shuttle and cab before. I've taken the cruise line shuttle back to mia airport from port everglades.

I took sas solo. They took me from my hotel in fll to Pom and then from Pom to fll airport. It was $15/pp. No issues.

I'm looking at this excursion too for March on liberty. Curious to hear any opinions.

I only can believe this because my college roommate freshman year did this twice after nights out partying. She just can back and squatted in the corner. And one night she pulled a shirt from my closet to clean it up!!! Took forever for the dorm office to move her out. Gross!!!!! I'm glad this guy was kicked off. Sorry you had to see it.

I just booked my 4th solo for next month. You will have a great time. People on a cruise are so friendly. Try a set dining time to meet the same people every night. I hung out a few times with people from my table after dinner. Get out there and have fun and don't worry what anyone else thinks. You'll never see them again anyway.

The credit card I used to book the cruise fare has good trip insurance except for medical and evacuation. Can anyone recommend a good medical/evac insurance? I am not too familiar with the company names I'm seeing on insuremytrip. I've usually gotten Allianz.

Try your credit card you booked the cruise fare with. They might have offered extra insurance you don't know about. Try your travel insurance too.

Maybe don't mention the wine in your bag. Claims dept can turn around and say that the stains are from that and you shouldn't have packed it.

Keep in mind that all posts on that carnival on board forum are public. We just used initials when posting. No issues.

So if I book online and don't enter my c&a # will I get the better rate? The fare is $10 more expensive when I'm not logged in BUT it has $175 OBC. As soon as I log on or enter my c&a # into the booking the OBC disappears and the rate drops about $10. Has anyone experienced rccl taking away the OBC when they figure out your membership info after you've paid?

It re-positioned from Miami this morning.

It was around 11pm pst and only lasted about 30 minutes. The rates aren't bad now though for the short cruises out of LA. The last I saw had some at $100 for a solo but none for $2 anymore.

The website seems to have updated. In a matter of minutes the $2 fares are gone. I hope someone here got it.

The $2 cruises are gone. I should've placed a hold on the cruise I was considering. Oh well.

Tons of cheap solo cruises right now on carnival. I'm talking $2 for last minute cruises out of Cali to less than $200 for 7 day cruises out of Florida in February and later months. I wish they fit my schedule! I'm logged into carnivals website and I am not a casino player.

Does anyone know of a shuttle for just me from POM to Collins/38th? I would rather not get a one way car rental and I'm not sure how much a cab might be. Thanks for any insight!

I've gotten these bracelets on ncl, rccl, and carnival. One of my charms fell off and I saw that the link actually broke. I brought it on board on my next cruise and the store employee fixed it for me. I didn't have a receipt. I'm not even sure I had the box. So give it a try. I didn't tell them I bought it on a competitor ship though.

That's crazy. I could see the supervisor not commenting about it being blood. But the response should have been "I'm sorry that there appears to be some kind of stain on the sheets but we will have someone come up and replace them before you retire for the night". It's not like you're parents were demanding compensation for the stain, they just wanted new sheets.

Thanks everyone :) Im on the ship now- there's a couple here who had a wedding booked in the afternoon at St Maarten (which is now only a half day port) and their beach wedding is now moved to inside the cruise ship because of the itinerary change. On behalf of that bride- I'm just accepting what is with my St Thomas excursion....it could be worse!

Good attitude. Have a good trip and let the little things slide. I'll be at work this week. A cruise to anywhere sounds better.

I swim with a waterproof wallet too. I figure I'll still be good if I happen to lose it in the water (have never come close to losing it) since my passport is still on the ship. I would ask another person nearby with a cruise towel to keep an eye in it. I've been asked to watch someone's stuff before too. No one really minds.

Sounds like she's set to leave in about 25-30 mins maybe.

Thanks for posting. I passed it to my dad who is excited as he is boarding silouhette on Sunday and solstice in the spring. He really enjoyed it.

Did you stay in hotel the night before? How did you get to the port in the morning?

The quantum ad is on every 30 minutes out here in Nevada the last couple nights. This jersey girl immediately noticed that it said "sailing from the big apple". I didn't know jersey had become the big apple since I left. Haha. I guess they are trying to sell NY as a destination to couple with the cruise instead of us taking a flight going to Florida for a cruise.

Allure is in Europe all summer next year. You might not find deals on oasis since it's the only one in its class in the US next summer.
