How many days out is your return date? If it's not within the 330 day limit you won't be able to book yet.

No specific bar. Just wanted to know where to head after boarding. Our stateroom is on the 6th floor so I was hoping there would be an open bar there. But I don't even see a bar on 6 on the deck plan.
Crooners on deck 7 will be open. Certainly most of the bars on deck 15 (Lido) will be open (Calypso, The Mix and Outriggers) and if the weather is nice you''ll be outside.

The first scheduled sailing is 4/26, an 18 day SF to FL Panama Canal cruise.
The answer to the OP is most likely all bars will be open, or close to all. Are you asking about a specific bar?

Make sure on the Walgreens testing website you select “ID Now”. It will be a red dot. Do NOT select regular PCR (they send those out) or Binax Now (that is the Antigen)
I know I'm late to this party but we haven't cruised since they restarted. We're sailing in June. However, am I mistaken? I thought the Abbott Binax Now Antigen tests that are monitored online were acceptable for boarding. Is this incorrect?
Thanks,

Thanks. Sorry - I don't understand what you mean by "next to a 2 top"?
2 top just means table sized for 2 people.

The general rule is if the itinerary starts or ends in NYC (or in your cases is RT from NYC) the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is used. If NYC is just a port stop, Manhattan. However as they say, YMMV. 😉

Has Princess announced whether they are offering transfers from London airports (specifically Heathrow) to Southampton on embarkation days?
I don't know this as an iron clad fact, but Princess has always offered transfers from Heathrow to Southampton. I don't see any logical reason why they wouldn't continue to do this with the redeployment.

Are suite passengers supposed to select an arrival group or, as I suspect, can they just show up when they wish?
Thanks,

This morning the sailings out of San Diego were released for sale. For Elites. Tomorrow for everyone.
Excited that they have the 20 day Central America and Mexico (forgot what the cruise is actually called but that is where we will be going.
Diamond Princess November 27, 2022. Other San Diego sailings start in September.
I don't see the specific cruise you are talking about. I just see these two.

Do Suite passengers who are also elite status receive two setups?

Here's a link to the menu.

No drinks are included in the specialty restaurant cover charge. Any alcohol drinks ordered would go against your 15 drinks per day allotment. You can also order bottles of wine at a 20% discount.

On some itineraries, at least in the pre-covid days, they would offer "small group tours" that could be anywhere from two passengers on up. However, they were very expensive. Much more than planning one on your own.

They stopped giving out baskets of bread and dishes of butter long before the Covid virus.
It was all about saving money.
This was not our experience. Prior to COVID we always have had a bread basket on our table. Last cruise was February 2020.

Has anyone used the Docket app? It'd currently used in NJ, Utah and I believe a few other states.

Just off the Ruby and boy was it ever wonderful to not have the entire piazza destroyed by smoke on sea days and at night on port days. Then on the last night I realized that the Disco up in Skywalkers might also be smoke free now so I ventured up. Lo and Behold it was!!!!! So I stayed up waaaay too late having a great time dancing. What fun.
I don't remember smoking being permitted in Skywalkers for a long time. Am I incorrect?

Hi Billco, You mention drinking a lot of wine. Could you order these glasses of wine from the main dining room during supper? How many can you order? We usually buy a bottle of wine but now that we have the package I was just wondering if we could skip the bottle and order by glass in the MDR.
Not Billco, but you can order wine by the glass in the MDR. They're not supposed to give you more than one at a time but you never know. 😉

I booked my Australia 10 day cruise for March 22,2023 months ago. Perhaps its just the world cruise 2024 that is opening on Dec 1st?
I'm guessing the OP is referring to the Fall of 2023 and 2024.

On the Quebec to Ft Lauderdale with the stop in NY, it is only a port stop. No one joins the ship in NY or leaves there.
You are correct. My mistake.

Very interesting. Thanks for the information. We are on an October sailing next year from Quebec to PE with a stop in NYC. Been to Red Hook many times and agree there isn't a lot to see or do that doesn't involve a journey of some sort.
Never been to the Manhattan dock so if what you say remains post-pandemic, should be an interesting stop. 😀
In this case I wouldn't assume you'll dock in Manhattan. I would think that there are a number of passengers boarding for the first time heading to the Caribbean and PE as well as those disembarking in NY. I would think Princess is better setup for this in Red Hook.
On a side note, we were on the Regal for the TA in 9/2017 scheduled to end in Red Hook. Due to hurricane Jose we were rerouted further south (bypassing Newport and Boston). We ended up with an extra sea day and a port day in Manhattan on Saturday (docked next to the Intrepid). During the middle of the night we sailed to Red Hook for Sunday morning's disembarkation.

General rule of thumb. If NYC is the embarkation or disembarkation port it will be Red Hook in Brooklyn. If it's just a port stop (not too common) it will be Manhattan.

Planks BBQ on Caribbean Princess

I wonder if it's a possibility that the current dry dock will see the elimination of both venues. I hope not. I liked them.
