If you mean the Port Everglades cruise terminal, there are taxis waiting right outside the door and the Uber/Lyft pickup area is right next to that. The Port Everglades cruise terminal to FLL airport is only about 4 miles and should be around $20-25.  I paid $55 to go all the way to MIA by Lyft in November 2022 and that is about 30 miles.

If you mean Miami Cruise terminal than the price quoted by @cantgetin makes sense.

    Have fun!

  2. We board Scarlet Lady 3/29/24. One of our stops is Puerto Plata DR. We booked the Sailing Catamaran and Coral Reef Experience a long time ago. Got the email below. Called VV the next day because it was still on the app and wouldn't allow me to book a different shore thing for that day. VV said it wasn't cancelled it was a mistake. I asked why another email was sent out stating it was a mistake, she said she would tell the management, boilerplate answer. So hopefully she is correct and it was a mistake. Anyone else going on the 3/29/24 sailing out of Miami have this experience?

    Ahoy Sailor,

We are so excited that you will be joining us for your
    on the Scarlet Lady.

Before you set sail, we wanted to fill you in with the latest updates we received from our tour partner in Puerto Plata. The Shore Thing you selected, Sailing Catamaran and Coral Reef Experience , is no longer available at this time.

Not to worry — we have a number of Shore Things in
Puerto Plata we think you’ll love just as much.

You can view our experiences online and book Shore Things using the Sailor app.

As for your current selection, a refund will be sent back to its original form of payment.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to having you onboard so you can experience all the wonderful spaces, activities, and events that our ship (and destinations) have to offer.

As always, please reach out to Sailor Services if you have any questions.

We went to it last night on the Scarlet Lady. The menu was pre-set with just 2 options for entrees, fish or chicken. Unfortunately the food wasn’t that great, I ended up with a rubbery piece of chicken. 2 of the 3 acts (comedians) did the same exact sets they did at their own shows earlier in the voyage which was disappointing.

Thanks JMills!! This is very helpful information. We always hit all the comedy shows, so good to know they do repeat acts. Yes the menu didn't look all that appealing to me, but dessert sounded good. So drinks, dessert and laughs will be on my menu 😉

  4. With the new LOLZ Supper Club opening up this month, wondering if anyone has been to it yet?

If so, can you only book once onboard?

I assume an extra cost. Was it worth it?

Where do they hold it at.

We are big standup comedian fans so really want to try to attend this on our voyage on Scarlet Lady at the end of this month.

There are several independent baggage services available online.

I don't have a specific recommendation because I have never used one. But a Google search should find you some.

    Thanks for the info!

It’s a pub crawl event with drinks in several bars across the ship. Typically happens on the first night of the cruise and often another night as well.

I’ve never done it, but others say it’s a great way of meeting others and getting to know people. It’s about $50 I think though and won’t come out of bar tab (as it’s an event) but does include at least four drinks.

VV Insider has a good summary

Thanks for the info on VV Insider. That site is great!

  8. Some cruise lines I have been on have offered an expedited luggage service. This service would have you fill out a form, submit it, then your luggage is picked up the last night and sent directly to your flight? Does Virgin offer this service?
