I've seen it recently mentioned here before and was also told last month that if you purchased the package online you can send the laundry in a few pieces at a time, several times over the cruise.  But if you purchase the package on the ship it must be turned in only once.  The papers advertising the packages on the ship also stated it must all be turned in at one time.  The online packages state(d) that it could be turned in "throughout" the cruise.  I took a screenshot of this with me, but the cabin steward asked if I pre purchased online and said since we did we could turn laundry in multiple times.

That may be right as we always pre purchase so have no knowledge of what happens if you buy it on board.

If we pick the 30 item option are you able to send out 15 items twice during the cruise or is it all or nothing at one time?

    Thx

You can do it anyway you want.  We do a couple of items a day or a bag full every two to three days.  You can’t send anything on the last day.  Out by 9am back by 4 the next day.

I would really be amazed if they would extend it.

We could just not pass it by. We would never pay the full amount for a YC3 even though it is worth it.

I think you basically have 4 days left.  I am sure when this expires they will come out with another off although i cannot believe it would be as generous.

let us know what they say !

No they did not extend it but my wife had a letter from the casino which was good for 9 months.  So we used it to book a cruise in June in the YC.  Also got 10% additional credit for military discount.

I have read everyone’s comments on what it takes to get the discount.  I have no idea but I did not give my card to anyone as I play the tables.  On the last 2 days they really suggested I use it so I did and they quit bugging me.  When I got home I got an email from the casino with the offer.  My wife’s offer was in a letter in our room on the last night.  She plays the slots regularly but not enough coin in to generate a lot of points, who knows how it is calculated.

  4. I just purchased the 40 items for $50 on the seaside for June.  Found the laundry packages on page 2 of the extras.  I think you save 5 dollars by purchasing in advance but you pay for it when you select it instead of your onboard account if you bought it onboard.  Works a little better for us as MSC uses a French bank for processing their onboard fees, and our bank charges us for foreign transaction fee.

We are slot players on every cruise we go on. I would say moderate in the fact I do not play high machines but frequent the casino a lot.

We get offers from all the casino clubs but they are usually ones we cannot/or choose not to use. Limited to certain ships/certain sailings and certain category cabins.

We got an email offer from the MSC casino club last month for 30% off a cruise and some casino cash. Only catch was it had to be booked by the end off this month.

Time was running out so I called the casino club a few days ago. I was really quite shocked when I was told ANY cruise ANY category cabin and I could use ANY travel agent I wanted and then they would adjust the price.

That was definitely worth some research.  So I had a YC3 cabin held for an October cruise with an internet agency we had used many times before. They were offering prepaid gratuities and $500. OBC.

I called MSC & gave them the booking number.  They not only took off the 30% but also another %5 percent for our black card status...we got that with their status match promotion with our Royal Caribbean card.

Since the price was lowered so much, the agency readjusted their OBC to $300. because it is based on the final price of the cruise. They still included their tips.

Needless to say, I just put the down payment on to firm up the booking.

I am wondering how you got hold of the casino club as we have the same offer and want to get it extended.

We invited our friends (new MSC cruisers with 'no' status) to dine with us when we used our Black Status perk at Eataly, and it was to be our treat which was explained to the server.  Their entire meal cost us $0.

Hope you left a hugh tip for your waiter.

I know last year (2018) there were at least 2 separate mailings regarding VIP casino cruise offers.  Has anyone received one for this year?

We received a discount on our next cruise but I am not sur e what you are VIP  talking about

  8. We also do the last night envelope for the waiter and assistant in the YC restaurant and our butler and steward.

We tip for drinks in bars/clubs outside the YC as the servers do not get 15% service charge on YC people.

Sometimes we tip the concierge(at end of cruise) depending on what they have done for us during the cruise.

We will be going on the Divina (YC) for 21 days which are actually back to back Caribbean cruises.  I just looked online and there are no precruise laundry packages offered for our cruise.

    Hank

Keep looking Hank there are packages on that BTB as we did them in Jan/Feb and bought the largest package.  It is a good deal and they do a good job on shirts and slacks.

  10. I have read on CC and see on the MSC website that there is a laundry package available. However, looking at the 40 piece option, there is a caveat: "Note: This offer cannot be combined with promotions reserved for MSC Yacht Club and MSC Voyagers Club members." I have not seen anything in my reading about Yacht Club having laundry perks nor anything regarding the Black Card status that addresses this, either. Can anyone enlighten me about laundry? I don't want to purchase if I am doubling up or something else silly. Thanks in advance!

The above statement that mentions the Yacht Club and Voyager club promotions has been around for a while. There are no special promotions or discounts available for the laundry packages except what MSC offers in their laundry packages.

WE have done three back to back YC cruises on the Divina and have always prepurchased the 40 for $50

    laundry package.

  11. All the above information should be very informative for you.

I will add you should know the model watch you want and what it would cost you in your home town.

I saw a watch in St. Thomas that I wanted but wasn't sure if it was a good deal or not.

We were in a hurry so I didn't buy it. When we got home I (Before the internet) went into a jewelry store and told them what I had seen in St. Thomas. He looked in his catalogs and found the same watch at the same price but I had to pay sales tax.

Have fun checking as the sales people will go crazy if they think you are going to buy a Rolex.
