Rhapsody has port bookings in Brisbane on 16 February, Darwin 22 February, Adelaide 02 March and Melbourne 08 March. Fremantle has a booking for Radiance on 01 March, which would be a place holder for Rhapsody or which ever ship is doing the round Australia trip.

Im thinking Radiance but people on another forum are saying Spectrum in Sydney from April-May.
It all depends on how Spectrum is selling. If there is a demand for it in China/Japan then I guess they will keep it there. Radiance is currently schedule for Alaska, which is given Royal 4 ships there. I think this is an overkill for Alaska, and they do have a Radiance class in the market (Serenade). My guess will be to relocate Radiance to OZ this year, then maybe Rhapsody year round from 2023. My reasoning for Rhapsody is because of the port bookings at the end of 2023.

It looks like Ovation has turned around and now heading back up north.
I also saw HK cruise society post on Spectrum.
I don't think there is now a spare ship for our winter.

I think they may be using the airline (IATA) 3 letter codes. Royal Princess is showing SIN, Carnival Splendor is DXB, Spectrum HKG.

I am asking as the Royal Princess is currently on its way to Singapore according to marine traffic /cruisemapper.

If she does start to move here, and as we know from the last Alaska cruise, majority of the crew were sent home, where will they join the ship?
I don't think the crew can fly into Australia without having the 14 days quarantine, as they will not be Australians returning, and the caps are still in place for non vaccinated passengers.

My guess, it is just going for some exercise. If it was heading towards Australia it would not be hugging the US coastline.

Coral Princess is leaving the Caribbean, and is on its way to Gibraltar, and is due there on 29 November.

I emailed my mate Gavin Smith of RC sydney and he replied in a few minutes.I would post the email but it has a copyright on it.
He said the the cruise ban has been lifted as of December 17.I asked if we could have radiance here in sydney for a few months early 2022 .On its way from dry dock in Spain to Alaska deployment in May 2022.
He said it will be difficult ,it’s early days but we are working on it and possibly a ship over winter.
Do you think this is why Royal Princess is on her way to Singapore?
I wonder when the news was broken about the cruise ban been lifted as Carnival & P&O cancelled some of their cruises over the past 2 days.

According to Princess website her next cruise is not until May when she commences her Alaska season. From this I would say its destination is Singapore.

Have been there many times, and even recently, the pies are still very good.

Looking at marine traffic today, Royal Princess is in Honolulu. She arrived there on at 6am on the 6th November and departs at 9pm same day.
Is there any particular reason she venture from the West Coast to Honolulu?

I suppose it’s a bit short notice but with the success of the world cruise you think they could do a circular of the South Pacific or something and back to Seattle in April.
Say for 2-3 months ,there seems to be plenty of people with time and money.The Carnival Spirit is currently in Dubai drydock, and my guess Splendor will go in next and get the new hull colour. The P&O ships are all in Europe.
A circular Pacific may be a bit hard to do with the number of ports closed to ship currently.

And Coral Princess is off Miami.
Royal Princess could have crew on stand -by and ready to fly in to Honolulu tomorrow and quarantine on route to Sydney.
Spectrum is all crewed up and has been trying to start in Hong Kong for 4 months now and is looking for greener pastures.They are ready to take their ball and run.
There isn’t any other ships in the Pacific OceanI believe that the Coral Princess is due for drydocking in Cadiz, between 01-15 December 2021.

DId you ever find out why Royal Princess is going to Hawaii? It is due there on 6Nov at 630am and back to sea at 630am on 7Nov, according to Hawaii traffic schedule.

NCL on track for Sydney Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) continues to anticipate the deployment of its Norwegian Spirit in Australian waters in the first quarter of 2022, with a “voyage resumption plan” unveiled overnight detailing a Mar return to service in Sydney. Announcing quarterly financial results, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) Chief Executive Officer Frank Del Rio (pictured), said the company’s great cruise comback is already on track, with 11 ships already sailing across the globe from the NCL, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruies brands. “Initial trends are extremely positive with strong onboard revenue, high guest satisfaction scores and our comprehensive science-backed SailSAFE health and safety protocols working as designed to minimise the impact of COVID-19,” he said. Del Rio laid out the phased relaunch plans for the remainder of the fleet, with about 40% of capacity currently in operation, and plans to have all 28 vessels back by Apr. The restart also envisions Oceania’s Regatta returning to service in Feb next year in Papeete, while Mar will see Norwegian Sun recommence operations in Tokyo and Norwegian Jewel in Panama, as well as the planned local return of Spirit. Del Rio noted the Delta variant of COVID-19 had negatively impacted third quarter booking volumes, but the impact had now abated, with particularly strong booking levels for sailings in the second half of 2022 and into 2023. The company continued to burn cash at the rate of US$275 million per month during the quarter, and NCLH expects this to increase in the current three month period due to additional costs around the relaunch of more ships. Total revenue was USD$153.1 million for the three months to 30 Sep, compared to just USD$6.5 million in the corresponding period last year. Although NCLH made a net loss of USD$845.9 million for the quarter, and expects to continue losses until it is able to resume regular voyages, the company expects to be profitable for the second half of next year, based on its “current trajectory”

Quantum will be 10 years old in 2024 and will be due for her drydocking. Maybe going to Singapore first and then over to Alaska.

Qantas is flying to London direct from Darwin.
Thai is flying from Sydney via Bangkok and Phuket with connections to Europe.
Singapore Airlines is flying via Singapore (from Sydney & Melboure)
I am sure some other airlines will be flying via either Asia or US to get to Europe.

When is the next federal election. I am sure Scomo does not want the Ruby Princess and how the Covid19 was handled during the election campaign. My feeling after the election.

Rhapsody used to do Alaska, when it first came to Australia (it alternated between Australia summer, then Alaska summer). When Radiance came to Australia, it then became the ship for the rotation, and Rhapsody went off to Europe. In Australia, it was reported that Rhapsody could not continue in Alaska due to some environment act that did not permit the vision class to return to Alaska, maybe the fuel that it was burning at the time.
