  1. You are correct. I just did a mock booking on that ship and date and the panoramic ocean view is only available to book with 3 or more. RCI will sometimes restrict cabins that hold more than 2 so that they can maximize their revenue. Looking at the prices for this cruise it seems like it is pretty popular (expensive) and that is why they are not allowing this room to be booked for 2.

I believe you said they made an exception for you which is great.

I have heard of people adding a third name to their reservation to get the cabin they want then cancelling that person just prior to final payment and RCI has allowed them to keep the cabin.

Thank You Ken, I knew I wasn't going crazy but...;)

  2. Are you sure you're not asking about the FAMILY Ocean View?

What cabin are you looking at?

Also, who is giving you this information?

Category F Panoramic Ocean View on Deck 7, and Deck 8. Four on the Port and Four on the Starboard in the center of the ship. It must be me, I think RC may be singling me out:p I called RC directly.

  3. I've booked 7555 on the Legend for next year as a solo with no problem.

220sq. ft. is incorrect. The rooms are much smaller.

I believe the poster that said there was a minimum of 3 people may have confused this cabin with FOV.

I called again for Legend on July 6th 2014 and again they won't allow occupancy for 2 only triple and quad. I don't know:confused:

  4. Thank You Guys So Much:) I am sold, there was not one con, and yes a Palace or two one day in this life, should be interesting and not boring. You guys were kind enough to mention still having a good time despite not being into churches/palaces/museums in addition to offering other sights such as canals, bakeries, theatres, and subways, etc. Thanx Again:cool:

  5. I have my first X cruise booked for November. From reading your comments here, and I to believe that one's onboard credits cannot be used for excursions?

Since I have only sailed on Princess and HAL, I was surprised to hear that their use on X is limited. What other items mght they not be used for?

After booking I found that the shareholder credit does not apply (I used the 123 GO promotion), no military credit, and I've read somewhere on CC that future cruise credits are severely limited.

    Oh well.. (say la v)

I just came off of Infinity last week and was able to use OBC for excursions.

  6. capsoncc, I experienced the exact same thing, with the exact same excursion only difference was that I purchased mine before the price went up for fear that it was going to sell out. I too was shocked:eek: From now on I will buy all of my excursions right away, and if prices remain the same cancel and rebook onboard to use OBC.

BTW, that excursion was Excellent with a capital E. So what are you going to do, if you don't mind me asking?

  7. I have a salt water pool at home, bags of salt are added and then the salt water goes through something that converts it to chlorine, but it doesn't smell and doesn't fade your bathing suit or make your blonde hair turn green. It's much better than having to add liquid chlorine all the time. Not sure if the cruise lines have equipment like we do, but the water is so much nicer in my pool than in pools with liquid chlorine.

    Thanks janeyzee, very interesting;)

  8. For those of us that can easily drive to Bayonne, it certainly is doable. That said, if it were during the spring or summer, I'd seriously consider booking the 2- or 3-night sampler, just for the experience. To do it in November, when it's cold outside, it just doesn't feel as appealing. And I was never one who felt the need to to try the "latest and the greatest." But that's just me;)

You are so right, I never thought about that:o
