  1. We just came back from being on the Ruby (Nov 6 - Nov 20) We had a great time.  If you happen to visit the Wheelhouse bar in the evening, look for a server name Delinda (I think) from Singapore.  You can't miss her as she is so friendly and fun.  Tell her the Currier's say hi.  Also, we were always able to see the NFL games on our Cabin TV.  Enjoying your report.  Happy sailing.

  2. Greg, found your review just this morning and have enjoyed it very much.  Congrats on yours and Linda's retirement.  I retired about 8 years ago but my hubby is still trying.  He is an architect and all his old clients keep calling him about jobs.  So sorry about your little Maggie.  We know your pain.  We had to put our last horse down in March due to a incurable medical condition.   Still miss him.  When you have been with horses almost 35 years it's hard to find you don't have them anymore.  Loved your review and are looking forward to our Princess cruise in March 2023.  Safe travels home

  3. Hi Ellie,

I'm alittle late to the party, so to speak, but really enjoyed reading about your Fiji trip.  Following along with your trip to Hawaii.  I can fully relate to the temperature in LA when you said you were surprised how cold it was. My DH and I usually do Caribbean cruises and during sail away you can find me on the top deck with a "boat drink" in hand enjoying the warm weather send off.  When we sailed out of LA in October, 2011 for our Panama Canal trip, I was on the top deck in a jacket with a hot cup of coffee.  We always laugh at that picture.

We were hoping to cruise again in November, 2021 for our 40th, but we may just wait till April, 2022.  Here in Michigan, we just went back to Phase 2 with the closing of some things again.  However, we can all stay safe on your wonderful virtual cruise.

  4. Norris,

Loving all the pictures of the classic cars, especially the pink ones!!!  Always wanted a pink 1959 Caddy with white interior.  My hubby is also loving the old cars since this was his era, 1950's, 1960's of his youth.

The Cuban buildings are actually stunning.  Not something you would expect in a so called "depressed" country.

    Following along happily.

  5. Linda,

My DH and I have never been on a X cruise as we are Princess cruisers, but I thoroughly enjoyed your trip report.  Your kids are a riot and remind me of my three step sons when they were younger.  Alas, they are "old" now and have kids of their own.  We hope to do a holiday cruise in 2020 as my birthday is right before Christmas and DH is on New Year's day.  Welcome back.

  6. Norris,

I am so happy to be reading another one of your fabulous reviews as I sit here watching the snow pile up in Michigan.  Alas, we had to cancel a Princess cruise we were going to take in February (full transit of the Panama Canal starting in San Francisco) due to the declining health of my Mom.  So I will live vicariously through your review.

    Stay warm in Chicago.

    Linda

  7. Norris,

Really enjoying your pictures of the "summer cottages". They are alittle bigger than the ones on Mackinaw Island. We were on the Royal (sister ship of the Regal) last March for a 10 day Caribbean trip so you interior photos will bring back great memories. Alas, we do not have a cruise booked until Feb, 2019 when we will again do a full transit of the Panama Canal. But this time from San Francisco.
