    Thanks for the info, Tobleronebar.

We are staying there Nov 5th before our Royal Princess cruise. Everything near the port was booked due to the Boat Show.

    Enjoy your cruise.

  2. David and Ellen,

My DH and I were on the Coral in Oct/Nov, 2011 for the full transit of the canal. However, we left from Los Angeles. I remember it was really chilly in LA and the further we got to Cabo the warmer it got. We had wonderful time on the Coral for our 30th Anniversary. We will be on the Royal this Nov for our 35th. Hope to do a review. Enjoying your review and remembering the Coral fondly.

  3. Good Morning, Norris,

Finally able to come out of "lurk doom" and send you a note on how much I have enjoyed your X review. Since we have only sailed on Princess, I was very interested in your review on Celebrity. Loved the Emerald review. We sailed on her 2 years ago to the Caribbean. We are on the Royal in November. We really did not want to be on such a large ship, but since it is a milestone anniversary for us and we love the Caribbean, we booked her. Perhaps I will do a review, maybe even with pictures. Probably not a wonderful as yours.

Looking forward to reading your Princess and Celebrity comparison.

    Linda

  4. All of the pictures I have seen of the cabins on the Royal and Regal do not show any hair dryers. Are there still hair dryers in the cabins and if so where are they located?

    Thanks

  5. Wow Norris, that was quite a tumble you took.

When we were on our a 10 cruise on the Sun Princess for our 25th, I tripped over a half buried palm tree root at Magens Bay. I thought I just bruised one of my toes, but I actually broke it. Went the medical center on the ship and the doctor taped it to the other toe. Told me to use Ice, Asprin and that Rum helps. LOL:D

  7. Norris,

I am loving your review of the Ruby. We were on the Emerald last March, her sister ship to the Caribbean. You should try the Panama Canal. It is a wonderful experience. Being a fellow east coaster (Michigan) I would suggest you do the LA to Ft Lauderdale trip full transit (if possible). It is much easier to fly back. We did the trip in 2011 on the Coral.

Looking forward to more fun and photos of the Ruby. Love the interior shots as it brings back memories of the Emerald.
