    Which cruise line?

Regardless, I think it's highly unlikely you would be able to switch it out for anything else. The value shown against it is not what it would cost the cruise line for whatever drinks you have. Essentially it's no different to choosing to cruise of one of the luxury, all-inclusive lines where drinks are included. Just enjoy whatever drinks you do have without the hassle of having to pay for each individual one.

    Thanks for your reply

  2. Both wife and I have been given a complimentary all-in drink package for our cruise in 2023. That package is I believe over $1000.00 per person. That is a total of $2000+ for the 13 day cruise. We could not drink that amount of Liquor, beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee at all in 13 days.

My question is Can I switch the package to say OBC?, Excursions, Stateroom upgrade, althouh we are already in a Mini Suite, or take 50/50 on the deal. 50% drinks and the rest on something else? Interested to hear what you say.

  3. I have had a cruise booked on the 18th February, 2022 with Royal Princess to New Zealand and unfortunately it was cancelled, the 4th I have had so far. So I moved over everything to a recommended cruise by Princess to 19th February, 2023. But now I hear that cruising in Australia could resume around December this year (2021). So my question is will I still be able to use my booking for my cruise on the 18th February, 2022 that I had originally booked before it was cancelled even though I have accepted an alternate cruise a year later. Interesting isn’t it.

  4. Hi all,

Can anyone tell me what , if anything, happens if when your cruise is cancelled and Princess gives you a "Recommended Alternate Cruise", do you have to take one they offer or can you take one going anywhere. I read that if you take their recommended cruise they move everything over that was originally booked together with all perks and extras. Would this happen if you did a cruise other than their "recommended cruises".

  6. Travel Insurance for the 80 year olds is an absolute disgrace. I have tried 4 insurance companies and with the exception of one of them, the Insurance Companies do not want to sell you Cruise Insurance, or you are too old, or the price for the Insurance is astronomical. One of these companies divided both husband and wife into two separate policies because the male was 4 years older that the female, and they wanted more money for a 13 day cruise to New Zealand than what  the cruise fare cost just for the male partner, and that was a well known Travel Insurance Company. The ages for the two people travelling are 85 and 81 and in good health and are quite active. They did not claim any existing medical problems. What has been your problems, if any, when you go to buy Travel Insurance.

  7. Hi out there, who can advise a good Travel Insurance Company that will cover older passengers without all the third degree questions, etc. I do not mind giving my health records, but some need to know if I smoke (which I don't) and how many a day; what is the maximum number of steps I can do without getting out of breath (I think 20 would be the most of any cruise ship going from deck to deck); Do I drink alcohol, and if so how many in a day. Next they will be asking what my sex life is like (boy I could make them laugh with my answer). Anyway, can you advise who you have used on your cruises . . . Thanks.
