  1. Yes we're 24th July out of San Francisco. It only solves 1/2 our problem unless my partner starts testing positive in the next few days - he's not so far. But it would be nice to 1/2 the cost of testing in SF as its pretty expensive. I do expect that the USA will have dropped the requirement to test to enter the country by then but I'm not so sure of the cruise ships - particularly for our long , inter-continental cruise. Nor do I particularly want them to - I'm probably immune for a bit but if enough people get sick it will impact the cruise (which is why I think pre-cruise testing will stay).
  2. If you have covid cover including in your travel insurance - they will cover - otherwise you're on your own
  3. I'm seeing neither of those cabin numbers - but here's your answer QV-deck-plans-2019.pdf (cunard.jp)
  4. Me bad - it was emergency contact. My contact is actually an USA address - and I did have the option to change the country. Its a horrible mixture I had to use 00 in front of the phone number which certainly wouldn't get you an international phone call here! I can't remember what the code is we just use + LOL What does the health declaration involve - do you have to upload test results? Or is it just a questionnaire - I can see this not working well - and my TA is insolvent so not much help
  5. Oh interesting - I can get that too if I use an incognito window. In other words the site has worked out that I was in Fiji until yesterday and for some reason doesn't want to sell to Fijian residents! As I'm back in NZ on my home IP address you'd think there's something wrong with their caching
  6. I thought I'd update my close contact's address details on my cunard. I know it didn't work a few years ago - I guessed it would be fine now. Yeah, nah. 2 different browsers using updated windows machine. Tried to check the current price of our booked cruises. Nothing - no cruises available to any destination on en-au version of the website. I have a background of 10 years in developing websites for clients - I'd be embarassed if cunard.com was one of mine!
  7. This maybe too tight . Cunard says "All fully vaccinated guests will need to organise and purchase a private observed antigen test to be taken two days prior to arrival at the embarkation terminal." Preparing to sail - At the terminal - Cunard cruises Where are you 2 days before - that's where you need to do the testing not last minute in NYC You also need to do the online health declaration "The declaration will be available to complete three days before sailing. You will have two days to complete this; the questionnaire will close the day before you board." - from My Cunard I kinda assumed you'd need the test results to complete the health declaration. Others will confirm that as I haven't done one yet.
  8. You can't use them unless you have a) US address and b) US phone number. I contacted them and asked - I could get the tests delivered to USA contacts but the phone number is the problem
  9. I have just tested positive for Covid - I only tested as we returned to NZ today from Fiji and self-testing is required at the border. Tomorrow I'll arrange a PCR test which is the requirement here (so they can track variants I think). According the CDC I can now use a letter from my doctor to avoid testing when we fly to the USA in July. I'm wondering if the same thing will work for Cunard? Has anyone had any experience with that?
  10. Vaccinated kiwis and PIs can return to NZ from today. The requirement to drop the 7 day self-isolation requirement on 2 March. From 4 March kiwis and PIs from anywhere in the world can return. There is a testing on arrival and if you test positive then its 10 days isolation. PM has indicated that previous dates of foreigners returning from July and October are very likely to come forward - and will be informed by the peak of Omicron in NZ. Obviously if you are not vaccinated you go into MIQ for 14 days.
