We're booked with Fer Tours — i know they allow customizing. We will have an air conditioned van, driver, and English-speaking guide for our tour. Must less than the ship excursions.

Has anyone gone to the LCDH in Club Habana Miramar?

We will be on a private tour and are planning to go to the cigar store then relax for a bit at the patio bar for a Mojito.

From Google and tripadvisor, the facilities were a Yacht Club “back in the day” in an upscale neighborhood. Looks like it would be a relaxing break before going back to finish our tour of downtown Havana.

Thanks everyone. I had googled for the denominations but found some differences in listed denominations. Some articles switched back and forth between CUC and CUP. A couple articles talked about CUC but showed photos of CUP!

We have a couple tours and my husband wants to buy some cigars. I hoped to be able to exchange some $100 USD bills for 100 CUC instead of a handful of 20 USD and 20 CUC.

Does anyone know if they will exchange $100 USD bills?

Is the 20 CUC The largest denomination Cuban bill?

I really don't like strong espresso coffee but it looks like I can set it fot a larger cup that should not be too strong.

With the new Nescafe machines, haven't seen any hot chocolate pods. The best they can do is packets.

Do all the suites now have Nescafe machines? (We'll be in a OS on the Sun.) Does NCL just offer coffee pods? How about tea pods? I see Nescafe has latte and cappuccino pods, among several other kinds of coffee, that I might take if not provided.

We plan to bring $100 USD bills to change. Anyone had problems with large bills at the currency exchange?

Are there any CUC bill denominations higher than 20 CUC?

Not to mention that Mahahual has the cheapest beachside massages I've seen anywhere. Roughly half the price you would pay in Cozumel.

What are the massage areas like? Is there any privacy? Do you wear a bathing suit?

I'm pretty sure the spa bill will include a gratuity charge so check the bill before you add more.

Thanks for letting me know cuban emails are working and that I had a problem with getting emails.

I must have done something to block Fer Tours emails from getting through my mail spam checker. I added a rule that email from either of his email addresses would transfer direct to my inbox without any more evaluation. Then I sent another email to Fernando. Sure enough, got his email answer promptly.

I've only read positive comments about Fer Tours communications so am glad to know it was my fault, not Fernandos.

No email yet. I've been trying since July 4 to confirm arrangements with Fernando of Fer Tours. Earlier communications prompt and I've read good comments avout his communications. I tried 2 different emails, including @nauta.cu.

You can call the Shore Excursion dept at *(866) 625-1167‬. Be patient, usually on hold for awhile.

If you have the $50 shore excursion credit, they will reserve your excursion and charge it to your onboard account when you cruise.

If not, you'll need to pay with credit card when you book.

Is a $1 CUC coin different from a $1 CUC BILL? I read earlier to get small change coins for restroom attendents.
