  1. Last year when I was on the Breakaway I could make reservations for the Improv show. When I bring up entertainment to make reservations the Improv isn't on the list of shows. Does anyone know if they no longer require reservations and if so how does it work when you want to go see an Improv show?

  2. Will be going on the Breakaway. Anyone play bingo recently? Do they use dabbers or are the cards still poke and fold number on the card.

Carnival and Royal Caribbean have changed their bingo's to using dabbers to mark the numbers now. So if you play bingo bring your own dabber from home. CCL charges $2 and RCCL charged $1.50 and the bottles are mini size.

  3. I will be on NCL and I've checked their excursions and did not see any Jet Skiing being offered. Do you just go to a beach and rent them?

If so what beaches rent them, cost and time offered. Thanks

  4. What is the current Taxi situation in NYC port.

I was there once and we had to cross the street to get a taxi but on the next trip we were directed to the top deck where they were giving out tickets to wait for taxi service.

Which is normal taxi service at the NY port?

  5. When you get off the ship in Port Canaveral there are companies that offer transportation to Coco Beach and Kennedy Space center. I remember Coco Beach was $19 round trip but I don't remember the cost to go to Kennedy Space center or how often they go.

Anyone been lately that can give me any details on the transportation to Kennedy Space center.

    Thanks.

  6. Wow what a weird name for someone to take as stagename

He did say that is nickname came from the movie Shrek's friend "Donkey" and there being some similarities between them in looks and personality that his friends gave him the nickname.

If anyone knows his real name please share.

I cruise a lot and would even pick a ship if I knew he was going to be on it.

  7. This probably wont help you since it has been almost a year....he was on the Fantasy when we cruised last Dec.

He was on the Splendor in March & April but when I went back in May he was gone on vacation and when I was on the Splendor again in August he didn't return and there wasn't one original person left on the CD's entertainment staff who would have know him. Even the cruise director Malcolm Burns was now on vacation in August so couldn't even ask him.

  8. A young fellow who worked on the cruise director's entertainment staff has the nick name of "Donkey". He use to work on the Carnival Splendor over the winter months but after his vacation he did not return to the Splendor. I thought he was so talented and fun that I'd love to know what ship he is on now. I don't know his given name but Donkey is such an unusual nick name someone might know what ship he is now on. If someone should know his given name that would help me look him up to see if he is on any social media sites that I might be able to write to him.

  9. Happy Saturday! We are scheduled to sail on the Breeze and just received a free upgrade offer, which would let us switch from our just-booked interior cabin midship on Deck 7 (Empress) to an aft-facing oceanview on Deck 2.

Any thoughts re: engine noise (or anything else) we should consider? We had a balcony on our last cruise (I prefer lounging up on one of the main decks), so losing a small balcony or not having a window isn't a big deal.

This will be an 8-day Southern Carib cruise.

    Thanks much. :D

Stayed on Deck two cabin window faced the ships wake. Some of these rooms are odd shaped some larger layouts then standard ocean view cabins. I did not have any vibration cabin was fine. I did have a cabin on the Glory same location and boy did that cabin vibrate. So I guess since the Breeze is newer the engines are better therefore don't give off that horrible vibration that an older ship does. Enjoy the Breeze it's Carnivals most impressive ship I've ever been on.

  10. I was reading that to get to the cabana's on the private island at some point you have to use steps but it did not mention if they had railings. I have mobility issues and would need handrails to go up and down steps. I don't want to spend $399 for a cabana and not be able to get to it.

Anyone who's done this would appreciate any advice on what to expect.

    Thanks

  11. Need to know in the dining room which deck or level do they use for Your Time Dining on the Breeze.

I was just on the Splendor and was disappointed that they used the first floor for YTD people which is the best level for dining. The Early and Late dining were put upstairs where you can't see the servers sing and dance.

I have Early seating on the Breeze and will change it to YTD whichever is on the first floor of the dining room.
