Is there a good time to go to Cuba? Like weather, crowds, prices etc.?

Can anyone tell me of some cruises to Cuba? I would like to go but not sure what is going on. Are the cruise ships still going there? Any experiences with anyone who has gone there? I was there as a child and would love to visit.

There is a lot of history in Galveston. There is one mansion that survived a huge hurricane many years ago. I can't remember the name of the place.

I was wondering what the ship models cost in the gift stores? I am talking maybe twelve inches long. Somewhere around that.

I just bought Sovereign of the Seas model at a flea market for eight dollars. How much do they sell these on the ships? I have never bought any of these but since this was our first cruise ship, I couldn't pass it up. I don't know if it is missing life boats on it either. I am guessing it is eight inches long? I know Sovereign is gone from Royal. Any information would be great. Thanks

I think the Mama Mia was the first three nights? Formal was second night and second to last night? Maybe it varies on the itinerary?

We were on this sailing too. Didn't know there was a buffet in the solarium. In fact only walked through once or twice. Thought it may be too hot in there. We had exceptional weather.

Heard from a father of a son working on this ship. They were told to batten down the hatches from the captain. Going through rough seas. This was three hours ago and their night time.

I have to agree with the other posts. Is she wanting to go with you? Is this spring break?

Thanks I just tried on the dresses with the shoes. I guess they are okay. Yes I know it would look better with heels but I don't like heels any more:)

Oops I went to Shoe Dept store. Not DSW. I tried to copy the picture but it wouldn't go. Sparklier in person. Like the whole shoe is sparkly.

I tried to find the shoes on the DSW site but could not find them. It is called hot cakes Orleans. If I could figure out how to send a picture from my phone to here, I would.

Well I wasn't going to buy shoes but I did find some at dsw. Thanks for the idea. I have to be careful of sandals because I have ugly bone bumps on sides of my feet. One on each side:). Anyway I got some silvery sparkly ballet shoes for twenty bucks. Have to break in the one shoe more for some reason. Lol. I am short and should wear heels but I haven't worn heels in years. Hope they look okay. Haven't tried them on with the two dresses. The red dress has silver sparkles. The metallic shoes I just didn't know about it going together. Saw some really cute sandal dressy ones but didn't look right on me. That dang bump. Lol

I guess it is metallic that I have. Kind of a dark silver that kind of shows some other colors in different light. Hard to describe.

I have silver little heals but they hurt.

I do have some dark silver/metallic pumps (toe out with bow).

We were on a cruise before and there were three sisters who dressed alike. We remembered them at various places. I thought it was cute.

I was looking through my clothes and what shoes to take for dressy night. One night I am wearing teal and one red. Don't want heals. So what color would go with both?

Since you are not suppose to wear shorts in the dining room, I jut throw in some easy to pack casual dresses.

First let me say that I have loved looking through the many pages in this thread and seeing all of these beautiful dresses and how positive everyone is! This is a dress I have from another event and I would love to wear it on an upcoming cruise to Alaska (RCCL) but I always hear that dress even on formal nights is far more casual. Part of me wants to wear it anyway and just have fun (luggage weight isn't an issue) but I have a lot of anxiety about standing out if I do. What are your thoughts? My man (who enjoys dressing up) wants to bring along a suit/tux.

Looks nice. Wear it.

At this point I am in no hurry to do the tour.
